GE to Dump Healthcare Division

After Jack Welsh's VERY careful management of GE's earnings statements, GE has had its problems.  First with a nincompoop CEO successor to Welsh, now with rationalizing its mission.

So there will be a change.

The company will be divided into separate units focused on aviation, health care and energy. GE plans to spin off the health-care unit by early 2023 and the energy unit by early 2024, the company said in a news release.

GE was more-or-less founded on "energy"--switchgear, transformers, nuke-powerplants, etc.; after all, the Company was co-founded by Thomas Edison.

Big change.
