Republicans "Not Voting" on Equality Act

Eleven Republicans did not vote on the Equality Act.  Had they voted "Nay," the vote would have been tied and Nancy would have to have forced at least one non-voting Democrat to walk the plank.

The eleven?

Cheney (surprise!), Kinzinger (surprise!), Young (AK), Zeldin (NY), Wittman (VA), Webster (FL), Stewart (UT), Stefanik (NY), Smucker (PA), Palazzo (MS), Nehls (TX), Meuser (PA), Green (TN), Granger (TX), Carter (TX), and Bucshon (IN).

"Vote-by-Proxy" was allowed on this bill, meaning that all of those Pubbies could have voted through the marvel of electronics from anywhere--even the potty.

Disgusting.

"Equality Act" Normalizes & Enforces Mental Illness

While it's all very well and good to describe the grotesque effects of the "Equality Act,"--and there are quite a few--it's better to state the obvious:

The Equality Act normalizes and enforces the results of mental illness.  One who 'thinks' that the sex given them by God is the wrong one is mentally ill and should receive compassionate treatment.  It is a delusion.    

delusion is a belief that, though false, has been surrendered to and accepted by the whole mind as a truth

Specifically,

... As a form of mental derangement, "false impression or belief of a fixed nature"...

All other discussion, such as that provided at the link above, is argument on the wrong premise and even P-sacki can defeat it with snark.

Republicans know this, but are, as usual, peeing their pants and panties over "optics."

There is no "human right" to act on mental illness any more than there is a "human right" to murder.  Thus, there is no "human right" to pretending that boys are girls or vice-versa.  The sooner that fact is recognized, the better.

Lame-Ass Defense of Ashli's CapCop Killer

You might expect a serious attempt at defense of the CapCop who murdered Ashli.

You won't find it from the lawyer for the cop.

This twerp expects us to believe that there was "imminent bodily harm" from an UN-ARMED female constrained by a door's configuration, who was 1/3rd of the way through that door when she was assassinated by a cop using LETHAL FORCE, not a Taser, not pepper-spray, not a billy-club, to prevent the woman from merely entering the Tabernacle of Nancy?

Here in Reality Land, we smell your B.S. and we know the rules on lethal force, too.

Bad Analysis on "Ranked-Choice" Voting

This had to happen sooner or later.  But it's not a solution.

A bipartisan group of state lawmakers is seeking to blow up how Wisconsin chooses members of Congress by making primaries nonpartisan and establishing ranked-choice voting for general elections.

Backers say the changes would foster bipartisanship because candidates would be inspired to appeal to the broadest slice of the electorate, not just those in their party....

Uh-huh.

Aside from primaries which could last forever, the idea that appeal to 'the vast muddle' is the winning formula is a serious flaw.  Either there ARE principles which cannot be compromised--think abortion--or there are NOT such principles.  "Ranked Choice" gives the politician exactly what they want:  a "no commitment" option.

..."It's not even that we've got the wrong people representing us in D.C., but that their incentive structure is such that, you know, they benefit from dividing and fighting more than they do from legislating and getting things passed," Ramirez said....

The hidden assumption there is that "ranked-choice" politicians are actually men of virtue.  That's not only an assumption; it's folly in most cases.  Politicians live to get re-elected, not to 'get things passed.'   You may blame the two-party system, but that's not the primary problem.  The primary problem is a deficit of virtue.  (Not that politicians are the ONLY ones lacking virtue....)

We note that Kooyenga and Gallagher--both prominent members of the Muddle in the Middle--are in favor of this idea.  We've mention Kooyenga before and not favorably; it should come as no surprise that he is a NeverTrump creature.  

"Ranked-Choice" is very good for politicians, not so much for citizens.

Fed Law: No One Can Force You to Take the Vax

Since the ChiCom Flu vax is only "emergency approved," Federal Law says that one cannot be required to take it.

...Even though the FDA granted emergency use authorizations for the  Pfizer/BioNTech  and  Moderna vaccines in December 2020, the clinical trials the FDA will rely upon to ultimately decide whether to license these vaccines are still underway and are designed to last for approximately two years to collect adequate data to establish if these vaccines are safe and effective enough for the FDA to license.

The same section of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act that authorizes the FDA to grant emergency use authorization also requires the secretary of Health and Human Services to “ensure that individuals to whom the product is administered are informed … of the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.”...

US Bishops Act Sorta Catholic

 While it is no surprise that Pelosi, Schumer, and Biden*, along with the majority of Democrat members of Congress, want to shove this bill up the nether regions of Americans, it is pleasant to note that the US Bishops have denounced it.

Of course, the Bishops' statement does not go to the heart of the matter, which is the seriously-flawed line of positive law that began with the reversal of Bowers, which was followed by Lawrence and "Justice" Kennedy's raving Libertarian insanity:  

 "At the heart of liberty is the right to define one's own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life."  
The Bishops won't quote Cdl. Sarah, but they should.

He was never detained. Never handcuffed. Never charged. Still, Wauwatosa police say they "arrested" State Representative David Bowen (D-Milwaukee) last fall. Bowen says that never happened. Now, he and his lawyer are calling on police to apologize....

Bowen was part of a group which was raising Hell in a residential neighborhood after dark.  So the cops identified him and wrote him up.  

The write-up--in the real world--means absolutely nothing.  But the "civil rights" lawyer saw a chance for some TeeeeVeeee time, and Ted Perry's newsroom ........well........you know.........

Here's the Tosa PD's statement in relevant part:

"When Wawautosa Police Department personnel issue a non-traffic citation or refer subjects to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for a charging review, they are listed in the incident report as 'Arrested.'" 

The email indicates this status is "administrative and procedural," but "is not shared or reported to any other agency or organization which maintain arrest data unless the subject was physically arrested and processed" or "taken into custody."

IOW, Tosa uses 'arrested' to denote that a bad actor (Bowen) was part of an illegal gathering--which WAS announced--and he was referred to the D.A. 

That's all.

Consider.  If the corrupt Afghan assholes who have sucked US money into their bank accounts for the last 20 years were actually Afghan patriots, the war would have ended about 19 years ago.

Also consider:  Russia is doing just fine, thankyouverymuch, having "lost" their war in Afghanistan.  (Granted, the same cannot be said for Alexander the Great, who also lost a war there.  He died.)

... if Biden does not breach the terms of the deal the Taliban and U.S. signed last year and keep our troops there, he would be inviting a repeat of Saigon ’75, with all that would mean for the Afghans who cast their lot with us....

By the way, invoking the memory of Viet Nam is not very smart of you; that war was fought in no small part to extend "market share" for Big Corporate such as G.E. and Allis-Chalmers into SE Asia.  Do you SERIOUSLY want to make the case that "American interests" are congruent with "market share"??

Power was, unsurprisingly, diverted to hospitals and nursing homes. Ercot, as the grid manager is known, was staving off utter catastrophe, its chief executive later said.

But leaving shale fields like the Permian Basin dark had an unintended consequence. Producers who depend on electricity to power their operations were left with no way to pump natural gas. And that gas was needed more than ever to generate electricity....

The pumps are driven by electric motors--so they didn't pump.

That is of particular interest here because Waukesha Engine made the large diesel- or natural gas-fired engines which powered those pumps for years.  But a few decades ago those engines were deemed "polluters" by EPA and were no longer allowed to be sold in the US.  (At the time, "clean diesel"/DEF engines did not exist.)

So the engines were sold to Red China which doesn't give a rat's ass about "pollution."  And they were replaced with electric motors in the US because "clean."

Don't expect EPA to grovel and apologize like Ted Cruz.  Fake News won't hound them to the ends of the Earth about that.

But yes, EPA had a hand in it.

Progress in the WI Senate!

Well, well well.  This will be fun to watch.

The Wisconsin State Senate approved a series of bills to protect individual rights amidst the COVID crisis on Tuesday afternoon.

If the bills become law, government officials won’t be allowed to close churches or force people to get vaccinated. The senate also passed a bill that require Evers to produce a plan on getting state employees back to work, and another bill that would allow dentists to provide vaccinations....

Assuming that Vos pushes them through the Assembly, Tin-Pot Tony Evers will either sign them or not.

NOT signing gives the Pubbies all the election ammo they will ever need.  If they use it, of course.

Covid 19? Nope. Flu

This is NOT a surprise.

I’m a clinical lab scientist. I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I’m a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 “supposed” positive Covid 19 samples collected here in S. California. When my lab team and I did the testing through Koch’s postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), we found NO Covid in any of the 1500 samples.

What we found was that all of the 1500 samples were mostly Influenza A and some were influenza B, but not a single case of Covid, and we did not use the B.S. PCR test. We then sent the remainder of the samples to Stanford, Cornell, and a few of the University of California labs and they found the same results as we did, NO COVID. They found influenza A and B. 

All of us then spoke to the CDC and asked for viable samples of COVID, which CDC said they could not provide as they did not have any samples.--Vox quoting Canada News/Plant

CDC does "not have any samples" of Covid-19?

That's more of a problem than the 'zero Covid' results she obtained.

Did Pelosi Orchestrate January 6th?

Earlier we noted one lengthy report on the Capitol Disturbance of January 6th

Along comes more information.

Dinesh D'Souza did a podcast pointing out Nancy Pelosi's peculiar behavior regarding events at the Capitol in the days leading up to January 6.  In the five weeks since then, Pelosi has turned Washington, D.C. into an armed, walled city and is working with the White House to crack down on dissenting views — meaning any views that run counter to the Democrat party narrative. 

This should be very interesting.  We already know that the CapCops were scarce and that Bowser of D.C. refused 10,000 Guardsmen offered by Trump.  Hmmmmm.  Further, the ex-chief of the CapCops asked Nancy's Sergeant-at-Arms for Guardsmen and NANCY'S butt-boy turned him down.

...right after January 6 what does Nancy Pelosi do? She fires the sergeant of arms [sic]. She fires the Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund and she replaces him with another guy and, very interestingly, the police union, the union that actually represents the Capitol Police, took a vote and 92% of them have voted no confidence in this quote "new leadership." In other words, in this guy Yogananda Pittman, Nancy Pelosi's man that she stuck in there. The Capitol Police are basically saying we don't think this guy is any good.  --quoting D'Souza

...Democrats are using January 6 to silence any political opposition.  They've been trying to drive Republicans out of Congress.  On Thursday, they announced that they're working with the White House to come up with a plan so that social media will work even harder to silence "disinformation" — which means anything that challenges Democrat facts or conclusions.

In case you're wondering, this is how totalitarian dictatorships operate.  Free speech is out; increasingly brutal suppression is in.

And speaking of increasing brutality, there's the fact that the Democrats have used the events of January 6 to turn Washington, D.C., into a security fortress of the type any tyrant would love....

One could say Pelosi was Machiavellian enough to position matters in advance of January 6 to create a trap for Trump and his supporters.
