How COULD This Happen?

Ticker finds a very ............intriguing...........fact.

During the summer there was a 25 per cent rise in the number of people rushed to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank with partially blocked arteries cutting blood supply to the heart.  --Ticker quoting the Sunday Times
Reminder:  England is very heavily vaxxed.

Baseball Goes Red (China)

After US taxpayers handed a bunch of baseball fields to baseball owners--and that nice little "anti-trust" exemption--not to mention tax laws which are VERY favorable to depreciating assets such as ballplayers, what does MLB do?

"Major League Baseball is expanding its partnership with the Chinese Communist Party, coming at the expense of U.S. jobs and growing Chinese influence over America's pastime.

"The country's leading propaganda outlet China Daily on Aug. 20 touted the MLB’s attempts to build a baseball ecosystem within the country. The league has grown its network to more than 100 Chinese baseball teams in 20 cities, with a growing fanbase of millions. The league's operations in cahoots with Beijing are not just limited to play—quality U.S. jobs are also at stake. Miken Sports, a baseball equipment brand that provides business to the league, folded a Minnesota production plant and moved its nearly 70 jobs to China....

Maybe Mark Attanasio would like to move his office to, say, Wuhan?

Foxconn Buying Old GM Cruze Plant

Interesting move here.

Taiwan's Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest electronics manufacturer, is nearing a deal to purchase the electric truck startup Lordstown Motors Corp.'s Ohio plant, according to Bloomberg. The deal could be announced by the end of the week. ...

Hmmmmm.  Lordstown Motors makes electric trucks--and it is very short on cash.

CDC's Next "Fix"? Guns!

Now that the CDC has conquered coronavirus, it's off to conquer "gun violence."

The Left has been trying to make "gun violence" a "health" issue since Bill Clinton.  Now they have enough lunatics (plus one sundowner) in office to make it happen.

So autism?  Fuggedaboutit.  Cancer?  Nah.

Gun violence.  That's the ticket!

Mandela Barnes Goes All San Francisco

This fits well with Barnes' politics.

Mandela Barnes traveled to the Bay Area on Tuesday to hobnob with San Francisco district attorney Chesa Boudin and California state senator Scott Wiener, a photo shared by California Democratic Party vice chair David Campos shows. Boudin—the son of two Weather Underground terrorists who has ended cash bail and repeatedly declined to prosecute serial offenders—faces a recall effort sparked by a murder surge in his city. Wiener, meanwhile, has called for the abolition of ICE, because it is a "force of oppression" that makes "communities less safe."

Two Democrats (among many) who don't believe in putting criminals in prison.  Mandela should be on their side there, especially since he seems to have problems accounting for his campaign funds.

Did Barnes have the State Patrol drive him out there?

Raimondo: "It Rained a Lot. That's Coal's Fault."

The lunacy of Biden* people knows no bounds.

During an interview with NPR released on Tuesday, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said we have to get jobs into coal communities and “move away from coal as fast as possible.”

While discussing coal communities, Raimondo said, “The reality is, severe storms cost American businesses $100 billion last year. So, I think climate change deniers are clearly wrong, and we just have to help with getting jobs in those communities and move away from coal as fast as possible.”...

OK.  How about nukes?

And don't worry about Manchin's vote on anything, Gina.

Get the Vax, Die Anyway

A couple of days ago we noted that the Aussies had this problem.

Now it shows up in England, too.

During the time period in question, [2/21-9/21] unvaccinated people reportedly accounted for 257,357 Delta cases out of 593,572 total Delta cases (approximately 43 percent), and 722 out of 2,542 Delta deaths (approximately 28 percent) “within 28 days of positive specimen date.” What does that mean? It means that the vast majority of Delta deaths in England during this period occurred among vaccinated people, NOT unvaccinated people.

Remind me again why taking the vaxx is a GOOD thing.  Please.

Fauci + Mnuchin vs. the USA

Episode 1297 of Bannon's War Room makes it very clear:  Fauci knew all about what was going on in Wuhan and covered it up--mostly by lying all the time.  That's documented in a new book released today written by an Australian journalist.

Ah, but it gets more interesting.  Remember Steve Mnuchin?  The Goldman, Sachs banker?

Yah.

So when Pete Navarro pushed for a special commission to investigate the Wuhan Flu, Mnuchin did all he could to prevent it.  Navarro almost had it 'over the finish line,'.....

Now ask yourself:  "Why would a Globalist banker with large money interests in Red China work so hard to prevent an investigation of the Wuhan Flu?"

Hmmmmm?

Whose side is he on?

Making Whoopie With Kristi, UPDATED

At one time, Kristi Noem was regarded pretty highly in Pubbie circles.

Then she betrayed girl athletes.

Next act?  No time for crackdown on CRT.  Sorry.  No time for that.

Now it appears that "betrayal" is her middle name.

Altogether, two families and seven kids between 'em.

Nope, Donald.  Don't drag her along as the VP.

9/30/21 Update:

...One of Noem's closest former advisers for 18 months, Maggie Seidel, had few nice things to say about Lewandowski in her first on-the-record remarks to a reporter since departing the governor's office in April, but she defended Noem from allegations of infidelity.

"There's plenty to disagree with Noem on," Seidel, who served as a policy director for Noem, said. "For one, I think it's outrageous that she continues to affiliate herself with Corey Lewandowski, but unequivocally, there's no evidence that she stepped out of the marriage. It's just an outrageous lie."...

Trump reportedly has frozen Lewandowski out, but that is related to accusations that Lewandowski made inappropriate remarks to another woman.

What Does CDC Actually DO?

Many of us understand that recently, CDC has become a political tool.

But its troubles apparently go back quite a bit further.

...You may be aware that autism– a severe developmental disorder that affects children– has been rising at alarming rates.

The CDC is keenly aware of this; in fact they even set up a special division more than 20 years ago to track autism prevalence in the United States.

According to the agency’s data, for example, autism prevalence back in the year 2000 was about 1 in 150 children. By 2008, autism prevalence had increased to 1 in 88 children.

Then, by 2014, prevalence had increased to 1 in 59 children.

And finally, last year they released the most recent data from 2016 (they seem to be four years behind…) showing a prevalence of 1 in 54 children....

IOW, it nearly tripled in 16 years.  So what does CDC have to say about that?

What is their explanation for this surge in autism among America’s youth?

They say it’s “unclear” and “could be due to a combination of factors”. Yet they don’t bother to list any of those factors or suggest what they might be.

Well, maybe they should study the condition to clear up the "unclear" part, eh?

... the CDC announced earlier this year that they were allocating a whopping $16 million… over a five year period… to autism research.

By comparison, the agency spent more than $100 million on a visitor center, complete with waterfalls and a Japanese garden....

Priorities, you know.  Priorities.

This IS the Plan of the Left

Terry McAuliffe is the (D) candidate for Governor of Virginia.  He's been a major player in Dem politics for years and he's fully bathed in the Left's waters.

So when he makes pronouncements about schools, pay attention.

Democratic Virginia Gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said parents should not have authority over what schools teach their children during a debate Tuesday evening....

He gets more specific:

... “I’m not gonna let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions,” McAuliffe replied. “I stopped the bill that I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”...

Not long ago, it was simply a given that schools, whether public, parochial, or private, operated "in loco parentis"--in the place of the parents.  That understanding was dominant until the 1960's, and the crack between 'parents' and 'schools' has grown to a chasm ever since.

Look for example, at the fight schools put up over merely making available their curricula, materials, and books which are used in class.  (In the instance here, you can bet your last dollar that Evers the Educrat will veto this bill.)

Control of what goes into your children's heads is the Holy Grail for the Party.  Don't ever forget it.

Shaq: Normal Guy!

This is heartwarming.

Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal says celebrities are going "freaking crazy," and he is renouncing his celebrity status.

“These celebrities are going freaking crazy, and I don’t want to be one. I denounce my celebrity-ness today. I’m done with it,” O’Neal told the New York Post . “I don’t want to be in that category."...

Puts him together with us 99%.

Pelosi Fails "Who Is President?" Test

So now it appears that Pelosi is Biden*-izing.

During a press conference on Tuesday, radical leftist Nancy Pelosi told reporters that she wants to keep the Government open in order to fulfill the “Obama Agenda” of “Build Back Better”....

I'd like to forget Biden* too.

Now Biden* Starts Bombing Afghanistan?

Surber reports.

"When U.S. Central Command authorizes strikes against groups like ISIS-K or al Qaida in Afghanistan, they won’t be negotiating with the Taliban about where and when they can drop bombs.

"While the U.S. generally negotiates agreements with countries where it conducts strikes, the Pentagon considers Afghanistan essentially a free space, following the collapse of its elected government in August."...--quoting Military Times

The key word is "when."  Note well:  it is not "IF".

What a complete bozo this guy is.

Thanks, Charlie Sykes!!

Get the Vax, Get the ChiComFlu, Get Hospitalized!

That's the way it works in Victoria, Australia, anyway.

Health Minister Foley announced 867 new COVID cases recorded yesterday.  During the statistical outline Foley identifies 375 people as hospitalized, 81 people in intensive care and 61 people on a ventilator.   Then comes the statistic everyone in government and media ignore.  Amid the recorded cases “78% of the hospital cases are fully vaccinated, and 17% are partially vaccinated (1 dose)”….

That means 95% of the COVID patients in Victoria hospitals are vaccinated.

Oh, goodie!

Let's hope that that very annoying Breitbart writer shuts his flap now.

Holy Hambuger Prices!!

Grim reports, I re-post, you decide.

The $3.5 Trillion "infrastructure" bill under consideration will impose costs on beef cattle at $2,600/head, making meat unaffordable for all but the wealthiest. For dairy cows it's $6,500, so I hope you also like almond milk.

So naturally I clicked on the link.

It's the methane emissions tax.

By the way, pigs will get a $500/head price increase, too.

But who are the "pigs" in this story?

Chamber of Commerce Gets Up With Fleas--Or Worse

Actually, the Chamber may have something a lot worse than 'fleas.'  It could require penicillin.

In 2020, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorsed 23 freshmen Democrats for Congress. I’m tempted to say that if Congress enacts the Democrats’ massive spending packages, complete with tax increases and anti-business agenda items, the Chamber will have gotten what it deserves. In fact, I will say it....

And he's a mild-mannered man.

The Chamber has--in recent years--been a major part of the opposition to Trump's "America First" policies, mostly because that would change the profit-picture for its members.

No reason that they shouldn't be infected with some...........ahhh...........disease..........which is incurable.  Who would miss them, aside from the Globaloney Crowd?

Drooling Rutabaga: "NO!!" To Normal Life for You

The Election-Fraud in the White House, fresh from his morning oatmeal, opened his mouth.

REPORTER: "How many Americans need to be vaccinated for us to get back to normal?"

BIDEN: "97%, 98%. I think we'll get awful close. But I'm not the scientist. I think one thing is for certain. A quarter of the country can't go unvaccinated and us not continue to have a problem."

Yah, well, 97++% is NEVER going to happen, not the least because parents are going to go into Major Rumble Mode over forcing their children to get Teh Vax.  Also because Biden* cannot measure what the illegal aliens do or do not get.  He can't even tell how many illegals are in the country, for crying out loud.  Finally, because at least 30% of adult Americans simply will NOT take it.

So here's the answer:

NO.  Your move.

Where's Catholic Charities??

Catholic Charities provides material assistance to the needy, right?

Take all of the imagery you have seen of the over 14,000 Haitian migrants camped under an international bridge in the small Texas border town of Del Rio and add the complications of disease, public excrement, unbearable heat, and heightened frustrations. It has led to violence that has injured Border Patrol officers.

Now close your eyes and imagine it is 100 times worse.

Because that’s what it is, said Texas Representative Tony Gonzales, the freshman Republican who represents 42 percent of the border. The overwhelmed city of Del Rio had been in a rapidly deteriorating crisis situation when illegal immigrants first began surging into the community in January, but Gonzales now says the situation here is a “Category 5” and that the environment is unlike anything he has ever seen before....

So is Bp. Seitz directing dollars to Del Rio and its residents, who are in great need of assistance?

Question for Fr. Selegny

Fr. Selegny is the Secretary-General of the SSPX.

He's made an observation about The Vax:

For him, those refusing vaccination, hold “absolute and categorical positions” and lack "charity."

Oh.  So is the Church's admonition against slapping common sense into a priest 'absolute and categorical'?

This Guy Gets It

The author over at Meaning in History makes sense of it all.  (By the way, Ms. Petito's unfortunate end is one of the results....)

...O’Neill focuses on the catastrophic birth rates in the West. Or as I would say, the secularized West. The current generation, he argues, is in the grips of an anti-human Neo-Malthusian ideology. O’Neill sees this crisis as the result of wildly anti-human ideologies that view humans as basically so much carbon, or in terms of their carbon footprint. He cites various surveys that show the younger generation as embracing dystopian Green ideas to explain this.

I prefer to express the dilemma a bit more simply—I see these pop-ideologies as more in the nature of rationalizations for a basic attitude. The rejection of reproduction—normally considered a basic human instinct—arises from the loss of meaning. It’s a kind of ‘what’s the point’ reaction to a world that doesn’t offer meaning or a sense of direction. Unfortunately, the societal institutions that have traditionally been charged with articulating that meaning have abdicated that responsibility and embraced the secularized world view—a modern trahison des clercs. The intellectual bankruptcy they have left in their wake leads the generality of people to a spiritual lassitude—a limp willingness to basically go along with whatever comes down from government—or a lashing out in search of simplistic ideological solutions. A search for a meaning in secularization, a form of self salvation through activism. Thus, I would argue, the willingness to embrace dystopian ideologies—global warming, looming global pandemics—that demand simple solutions....

Or as Fr. James Schall might put it:  "What IS good?"

Schools vs. Kids
