Follow the Money to the (D) Pockets!

The oldest and most reliable political proverb, "Follow The Money" works again.  Right into the corrupt pockets of large-scale Democrat donors.

Now we know why B. Hussein Obama began the "children-in-cages" program of family-separations at the border.

...Juan Sanchez, a National Council of La Raza board member, is CEO of Southwest Key Programs. KXAN of Austin reports that Southwest Key has received $995 million in federal funds since 2015 to house migrant children. Over a three-year period, Southwest Key had “more than 200 violations at its facilities,” including a resident failing to receive proper treatment for a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

As Fox News reports, Southwest Key operates “the largest licensed shelter for immigrant children in the United States. A 250,000-square-foot facility at a former Walmart superstore in Brownsville, Texas, today houses some 1,500 boys between the ages of 10 and 17 who illegally entered the U.S.”
CNN notes that Southwest Key operates 83 detention centers across the country and has pulled in $1.5 billion in federal contracts. Southwest Key boss Juan Sanchez bags a cool $1.47 million a year “which makes him one of the highest paid charity CEOs in the country.”

Mark Owen of the IRS nonprofit division told CNN that Sanchez’s salary is “extraordinarily high” and his wife also pulls down $262,000....

Did I mention that you should Follow the Money?

By the way, "La Raza"--as racist a group as the Nazis ever were--has changed its name to "UnidosUS".  Same racism, different name.

Step Back From the Cliff, Sec'y DeVos

Maybe we should give Education Secretary DeVos some credit for effort.

But probably not.

DeVos continues her Statist program.  She's retaining "Common Core" (her denials are meaningless at best) and now wants the FedGov to institute the Euro Model of education, too.

Maybe the Euro Model is a good idea.  But there's this "Constitution" thing which places education in the hands of the several States.  Not in the hands of George W Bush, nor Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, or the Communist Barack Hussein Obama.

And NOT in the hands of DeVos or the bureaucrats at DoE, (which should be abolished).

Time to back away from that cliff, Ms DeVos.  Right now.

Government Motors Gets Uppity

How quickly they forget.

Only nine years ago,  the US taxpayer gave GM and Chrysler THIRTEEN++ BILLION DOLLARS to help them keep operating.

Then, the US taxpayer LOST $11++ BILLION on the GM part of the deal.

Now Mary Barra wants the Government to keep providing foreign aid to Mexico, Canada, and Red China through the current tariff regime, or GM will get rid of a bunch of US employees.

Maybe GM should start with the contents of the Klown Kar in the silver towers, eh?

Or What, Eric?

Holder, permanent troublemaker now OUT of government, has a demand!!

...The unprecedented disclosure of ongoing investigative material, FISA and national security documents to the complicit and unprincipled House Republicans sets a dangerous precedent and impacts the Mueller inquiry. It must stop. Lines have to be drawn....

Ooooohhhh.  Wow.  Gee.

They must be getting close to flipping one of your co-conspirators, eh, Eric?  Graybar hotel looming, Eric?

Is Rosenstein The Dumbest Boss in the World?

Yesterday, Rosenstein told Congs. Jordan and DeSantis that he really didn't know what was going on with the FBI, nor the DOJ, with all those redactions and "I can't answer that question on advice of FBI counsel" and all that stuff.

He just didn't know nothin'.

And he repeated that show of complete ignorance for Congs. Gohmert, Gowdy, and Ratcliffe.

So he's the dumbest boss in the world, with that degree from Princeton, eh?

And the US taxpayer is paying him for...........what, exactly?

Obozo's Iran Is Collapsing

Not even the umpty-zillion dollars sent by fellow-traveler B Hussein Obama could keep the MullahMadness going for too long.

...The Iranian regime sent in the Revolutionary Guards at one point to put down the protesters.

But the Iranian protesters fought back.

Hundreds of protesters CHASED DOWN AND BEAT POLICE in the street....

Chanting "Death to Khameni" and "Death to Palestine".

Hmmmmm.  The Trump Effect is bigger every day.

The "Military Allies" Crock and Follow the Money!!

One of the better economic observers addresses economic stupidities, like the one from Samuelson which decries Trump's tariff moves because such moves will 'weaken US allies and alliances.'

...This argument conveniently overlooks several big trade and security fundamentals. First, globalist pre-Trump American leaders themselves have insisted that they’ve long tried to create multilateral pressure on China’s rogue economic behavior for years before Mr. Trump became president – though it’s unclear how serious these efforts were. For example, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal largely touted by the Obama administration for its potential to curb China’s influence contained a back door for numerous imports with major levels of Chinese content

Second, it’s anything but obvious that U.S. alliances strengthen American security on net. As I’ve pointed out frequently (including this past week), they continue to expose the American homeland to the risk of nuclear attack even though the Soviet-style kinds of global threats their nuclear guarantees were intended to counter have been (literally) gone for nearly three decades. Moreover, as has been widely reported, the militaries of many of these allies have deteriorated so markedly that their potential as force multipliers for the United States is open to serious doubt....

A very-well informed commenter over at Owen's place summed it up:  since WWII, US trade and tariff policy has been another way to deliver foreign aid.  Wouldn't surprise me if that "foreign aid" happened to follow major investments in those foreign countries--made by certain very influential industrialists and/or banks.  IOW, Follow the Money.

Just sayin'......

Why Sensible People LEAVE Milwaukee

A few organized protesters decided to screw over working citizens in downtown Milwaukee by plopping their more-than-adequate asses on a freeway ramp.

That--in itself--would not be a big problem.

But the Kartoon Kop Shop of Milwaukee decided to leave them there.   They were not removed.  They just sat on their more-than-adequate asses and blocked traffic.

THIS is why sensible people are leaving the City of Milwaukee.  And why moving back in is just not an option.

"Teh Tariffs!!!!!" On the Farm? Fake News!

The Fake News machine is working overtime on "Teh Tariffs!!!!".  We're all going to die in the SMOD brought on by Teh TARIFFS!!!.  Or maybe nuclear war from Teh Tariffs!!!!.  How about Tariffs driving climate change?  Killing off same-sex "marriage"?

The Fake News (Gannett edition) ran a story today about how "Teh Tariffs!!!!" are going to kill off dairy farmers.

But waaaaayyyyy down in the copy, we see this:

...Farmers say the downturn is worse than one they experienced in 2009 because it has lasted longer and their costs are higher now. Many dairy operations are drowning in debt; in some cases, they have a half-million dollars in unpaid bills.

Hardin says many dairy farms don’t have much financial staying power left after more than three years of depressed prices. He’s also hearing that rural banks and towns are being hurt by farmers struggling to pay their bills and buy things....

Huh.  "Depressed prices" for three years.  THREE YEARS.  Maybe the supply/demand equation has been off-kilter for a while, eh?  This is not a "Tariffs!!!!" problem.  This is typical of the dairy markets.

But "Teh Tariffs!!!!" is what the Fake News has, so that's what they'll yammer and drool about.

Kennedy quits and the Left is in despair.

Grim posts a couple of tweets.  He's having fun with this.

As long as we're sending the Left to the labor death camps, perhaps we SHOULD install WiFi, just because we're nice guys.

How About Diane Sykes for SCOTUS?

Kennedy's gone, thank God.

How about Diane Sykes??

Today's Art

Both picked from Ace.

"Sky Is Falling!!!!"--Import-Auto Manufacturers

Here's a shocker:  manufacturers of cars imported to the US claim that Trump tariffs will cost U S citizens $45 billion per year in "taxes."  (Now we know where Mark Levin gets his talking points....)

Can you find the very important hidden assumption there?

Hint:  "free market."

Still don't get it?

How about this:  The U S citizen will NOT BUY the cars, thus saving $45 billion/year--and providing more jobs for domestic auto plants.

It's never smart to assume that VW-loyalty disease will overcome a $5800.00 price hike, mein freunde....

Communism Doesn't Work, Chapter 33,462

Marx/Lenin Communism does not work.

Aside from the tens of millions of murders committed by Stalin, Mao, Maduro, Ortega, Castro,, there's another little difficulty now showing up in Communist China.

...China is a production-based economic model, they do not have the ability, or wealth, to consume their own durable goods production; they rely on exports.

The U.S. is a more balanced economy; we consume 80% of our own production.  We are self-sustaining, China is not.

Without a market to sell their products, the Chinese economy cannot survive.

Conversely, China has focused so intensely on durable-goods manufacturing, their consumable goods market (food) is dependent; they cannot feed themselves.  The U.S. can survive without exporting food, China cannot survive without importing food.  The U.S. economy can survive without importing durable goods; the Chinese economy cannot survive without exporting durable goods.  This is the unavoidable trade reality. ...

The slave-labor model blessed by General Motors' Buick division (Envision CUV), Briggs & Stratton, FCUSA's Jeep (etc. ad infinitum) simply cannot work.  By no co-incidence, the only beneficiaries of this model are the Establishment rapists on both sides of the Pacific.

Strong language, but truth hurts.

"Blue Wave"?? More Like Blue Drip.

If the desperation tactics of the Democrat/Left bunch haven't telegraphed the situation they're in, this little release will.

“The crowd at the Minnesota rally was 60% Democrat and Independent.”

9,000 people got in to the venue, another 18,000 were turned away.

By the way, this should also be a signal to weak-kneed (R) candidates (such as those who dropped an extra $100 million on schools for no good reason whatever) that going girly-girl will not GAIN you any votes.

Democrats Will Democrat, Yup

Most US "Gun Control" laws were pioneered by Southern Democrats for the express purpose of preventing blacks from owning guns.  Lots of those laws were eventually overturned either by the courts OR by Republican legislators.

But the Democrats keep trying.

...Gov. Phil Murphy [(D)] is proposing to significantly hike fees for buying and selling firearms in New Jersey, a move that would raise the cost of gun permits and licenses for the first time in half a century and likely trigger a legal challenge from Second Amendment advocates....

...The plan would raise the cost for handgun purchase permits from $2 to $50; firearms identification cards from $5 to $100; handgun carry permits from $50 to $400; retail gun dealer licenses from $50 to $500; and wholesaler/manufacturer licenses from $150 to $1,500, among other hikes....

That would mean about $550.00 in fees just to concealed-carry, not to mention the cost of training, ammo, (etc.)--and some of those fees are recurring.

Of course, this will also seriously hinder low-income Hispanics, whites, and Asians.  And yes, it's likely to be found un-Constitutional.

But never forget:  Democrats will Democrat.

The Coming Crash of AFSCME (et. al.)

SCOTUS knocked the pins out from under the Free Money Machine of AFSCME and all its brother Gummint Employee unions.

They'll be on a pretty severe diet for a long, long, time.  A well-deserved diet, we add.

Tammy's Out-of-State $$Millions

Li'l Tammy cries alligator tears over Uihlein and Koch, but doesn't mention that Soros is in her corner.  And she also forgets the other $3 million or so from New York, California, Massachusetts, (etc.)

Tammy has no track record in the Senate, aside from that dead veteran at Tomah.  Why the Hell should anyone vote for her?

Lyin'Ryan Has "Alternatives" to Tariffs

Lyin'Ryan pukes forth the Establishment line on tariffs:

"I think tariffs are basically taxes, and what ends up happening is you get escalating tariffs, or escalating taxes," Ryan said.

(Two posts below we mentioned that Ryan is wrong; the system he's been happy with is actually well-disguised foreign aid.  But we march on!!)

..."There are unfair trading practices, no two ways about it, by other countries," he added. "I think it's in our interest to use other tools to go after those unfair trading practices to stop companies or countries from dumping, from cheating, from stealing, from doing IPR theft and the rest. But I think there are better tools than tariff increases."...

Paul, whose house is surrounded by a Wall (so he's really "Wall-Paul" I suppose) has not proposed a single "other tool" during this entire episode.  Not ONE.

Thanks for playing, Paul.  Why don't you quit now?

Red Hen Is Fried Chicken

This showed up on the Treehouse:

Tariffs: Actually, Foreign Aid

A commenter who knows what's going on hits it out of the park with one swat over at Owen's place.

...Since WW2 the U.S. Congress (both parties, by the way) has been intentionally using lop-sided trade agreements and trade policy as an unofficial means of effectively increasing unbudgeted and off-the-books foreign aid....

A national "constitutionalist" radio-screamer views tariffs as "taxes" on US citizens.  He doesn't tell you the reality voiced above:  in fact, our "export US cash" system is just foreign aid by other means.

Trump gets it and like most of us, he's sick of it.

No Such Thing as Co-Incidence

We brought this up in the last couple of weeks.

What if Hillary and B. Hussein authorized and directed a spying op against Trump?  Doubtful that Ace is reading this blog, but he has the same idea.

I have long found it very interesting that one man with connections to Western intelligence attempted to "incept" George Papadoplous with the claim that Russia had dirt on Hillary Clinton, and then another man with connections to Western intelligence then arranged, for some reason, to meet with Papadopolous and extract this same information from him.

Then this information was fed to the US government, and used as the basis for opening an investigation.

Almost as if this was all a set-up.....

Oh, yes, that's well within The Hildebeeste's repertoire.

And by the way, do you think that the "disappearing professor", Mifsud, will turn up in Fort Marcy Park with carpet traces in his shoes and a .45cal hole in the back of his head (which will be classified as a "Suicide")????

Did They REALLY Care About the Mexicans?

Part of the sales pitch on the NAFTA treaty was that 'the Mexicans' would make a bunch of money and then there would be no need for the Mexican Joe Lunchbox to be part of the drug business.

Or some such happy crap.  (Same happy crap we've heard about "liberating" Afghanistan, by the way.)

In truth Mexican manufacturing wages reached an all-time low of $1.90/hour in January of 2017 and in fact their record high was in 2013 -- $3.60/hour.

Oh and by the way:  the drug trade--a BIG part of which is from Communist China--is doing well, thankyouverymuch, and murders are skyrocketing.

Neither the Clintons nor the automobile manufacturers gave a flying f*&^ about "the Mexicans."  And they didn't really give a flying f&^% about YOU, either.

HT Ticker!!

Nicholson AWOL on Immigration. Really??

Kevin Nicholson's "Issues" page doesn't mention immigration.  At all.

So should we conclude that the Illinois Rich Guy who set up Nicholson kinda likes cheap labor?

Did you know that Nicholson was a Marine?  Didn't the Marines use fences and walls around their posts?

Just sayin'...........

Wisconsin Icon "De-Personed" by Left's Kulturkampf

Laura Ingalls Wilder, who spent part of her life in what is now Goerke's Corners (Brookfield), has been "de-personed" by the radical-left of the "American" Library Association.

The American Library Association has removed Laura Ingalls Wilder’s name from a major award based on how her iconic Little House on the Prairie novels portray minorities.

“This decision was made in consideration of the fact that Wilder’s legacy, as represented by her body of work, includes expressions of stereotypical attitudes inconsistent with ALSC’s core values of inclusiveness, integrity and respect, and responsiveness,” the Association for Library Service to Children said in a statement.

The vote to remove her name was unanimous....

Re-writing history is a requirement when forcing kulturkampf down the throats of citizens.

"Lock Her Up" and "CNN Sucks"

Happened to see the video of Trump's South Carolina appearance.

Very pleased to hear "LOCK HER UP" being chanted--loud and long.

Also note the image at the link accompanied by "CNN SUCKS" chant.

Think Lyin'Ryan will get the hint?

Jeff Immelt and Dave Scott

GE is going to get rid of GE Medical and Baker, Hughes, too.

General Electric Co. plans to spin off its health-care business and divest its stake in oilfield-services provider Baker Hughes...

80% of Medical will go to shareholders.  GE will sell off the other 20%.

...The moves continue a radical reshaping of GE, which bears little resemblance to the conglomerate that used to count NBC, home-appliances, plastics and a sprawling finance unit among its business holdings. In recent years, former CEO Jeffrey Immelt sold most of GE’s banking and consumer operations, while Flannery has already agreed to unload the century-old locomotive operations....

It has been said that Immelt, GE's last CEO, was far too compliant with Obama's Government and far too little focused on continuing GE's success.

Gee.  Anyone remember Allis-Chalmers' enormous spend trying to please Jimmy Carter by making natural gas out of coal?  (That was Dave Scott's idea of 'smart.')

No?  Then try this:  Anyone remember Allis-Chalmers?

They're Invaders. Toss Them Back!

Interesting little item here at PowerLine.

8 U.S.C. §1182(f) of the U.S. Code

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

That 5th Amendment "protection" for foreign invaders.......ahh........nope.

They Got What They Asked For.......HAH!!!

Surber tells the story.

Concord in Contra Costa County, California, is a sanctuary city.
"There are 2.3-2.6 million Californians who are undocumented. The concept of a sanctuary city goes back thousands of years when cities in the Old Testament agreed to be a place for those seeking safety," the county says.

President Trump said good.

We'll re-open a shuttered Navy base in the city and house 47,000 illegal aliens there.

Oh, uh, geez................waitaminute!!

Over the dead body of County Supervisor John Gioia.
"This is crazy. We're going to fight it. We're not going to let this happen," Gioia said.

Plenty of politicians in the Bay Area are up in arms over importing illegal aliens into their sanctuary city.

So as long as they are cheap labor, the people of Concord are OK with illegal aliens roaming their streets committing more crimes.
But housing them while their cases are heard? Never cry the self-righteous Marxists.

Looks like the perfect remedy.  Plenty of room for the chilluns, too.....

Sex Abuse Realities

Once upon a time, in the days when the Left was pushing "Sex Ed for Children" in the public (and parochial) schools, the Left was also pushing the line of crap that 'sex abuse occurred principally in the home'.  You know, predator-dads.  If you believed the Left, rape was a commonplace in the home, like eating breakfast and cutting the lawn.  And if you believed the Left, Sex Ed for Kiddies would stop this plague.  Uh-huh.

Truth finally got its boots on, and it turned out that what 'abuse' DID occur "in the home" was perpetrated not by Daddies, but by live-in (and usually serial) sex partners of the Mommies.

Well, there are actual statistics on sex abuse, in the UK.  Extensive long-lived database, yada.  Most likely are extremely close to US stats, too, given demographic similarities.

It is often claimed that most sexual abuse takes place within families. But only 28 per cent of witnesses say they were abused by relatives. Shockingly, around a quarter were abused by teachers or other educational staff, and a fifth by adult family friends or ‘trusted members of the community’. Fourteen per cent were abused by members of the clergy, 12 per cent by professionals such as doctors and social workers, and nine per cent by residential care workers.
Gee, golly, what a SURPRISE!  The Left lied again!!  See *shocked face* here.

HT:  Vox

"Democrat" = "Perjurer"

The evidence continues to pile up.  To be a Democrat big shot is to be a perjurer.

That particular disease is metastasizing; to be a top-level appointee of a Democrat is also to be a perjurer.

Meantime, to support Trump is to be "deplorable."

OK, then.  Nietzsche had it:  'The transvaluation of all values.'

Christian "Mandate" on Refugees?

Proof-texting the Bible about 'refugees' is the hots today.  But proof-texting doesn't tell the whole story.

St Thomas Aquinas DOES tell the whole story, and it ain't what that Wandering Homosexualist Jebby Martin would have you believe.

...St. Thomas explains that in the Old Law only those nations that “had close relations with the Jews” were allowed to settle among the Hebrews, and, even then, those people had to wait for three years before being “admitted to the fellowship of the people” (S.T., I-II, q. 105, a. 3). Moreover, there were some tribes such as the Ammonites and Moabites who had “hostile relations” with the Hebrews” and thus “were never to be admitted to citizenship” (S.T., I-II, q. 105, a. 3). Finally, the Angelic Doctor explains that there are some people such as the Amalekites who “had no fellowship of kindred” with the Hebrews and “were to be held as foes in perpetuity” (S.T., I-II, q. 105, a. 3). Aquinas’s statements here could not be any clearer: There are some people, due to religious and even ethnic reasons, that cannot assimilate to another people’s culture or political community....

So it's clear:  SOME refugees and legal immigrants are just fine.  Not Mohammedans, sorry....and not everyone who claims to be 'persecuted.'

Russkis 1, Mueller 0. Big, Fat, ZERO

Mueller, starving for ANY conviction not reversible based on FBI shenanigans (see Gen. Flynn), indicted a bunch of Russkis a few months ago.  Since those Russkis were not subject to extradition, Mueller figured he'd abuse the Federal Courts to slap the crap out of these guys, declare "VICTORY!!" and go home.

The Russkis did not roll over and play dead.  Instead, they demanded a speedy trial AND demanded all the "incriminating" evidence that Mueller had.

Already eating Milorganite in large doses on this one, Mueller off-loaded the "case" to some US attorneys so they could taste the wonders of Milorganite, too!!

No wonder Mueller--who shaped the FBI we see today--has fewer and fewer friends in the US voting public.  One hopes that no one "doxxes" him, eh?

The "Broken Supply Chain" Bullplop

Ah, well, if we tariff Chinese Communist components, the world will come to an end.  Fire, floods, mountains will collapse, and politicians will become honest.

Well, maybe politicians won't actually become honest.

Anyhow, that "broken supply chain" crap is exactly that.  Crap.

...In yesterday’s column, [Rana Foroohar] echoed my point about supply chain movements that are either already underway or being contemplated:

“Over the long term, China and the US are headed towards regional supply chains for high-growth technologies of the future.” She continued – consistent with the conventional wisdom, “But in the short term, the interdependencies will be difficult to untangle.”

Then, however, came the kicker – which received no special emphasis from the author at all:
Several executives who supply Fortune 500 companies have told me it would take months if not years for the biggest US companies to break completely free of Chinese components.”...

MONTHS, or maybe 'years.'  Gee.  Months.  Wow.

Think that the Chamber of Commerce has been snowing you?

Apparently Hired for Her Brains

This is the older, slightly paunchy, FBI lawyer who ALSO does not like Trump. Some choice quotes:

  • "She [Hillary] better win... otherwise i'm gonna be walking around with both of my guns.
  • Moyer also called Ohio Trump supporters "retarded"
  • And the ever-useful "Fuck Trump."
Honey, you better not be waving your two guns around.  You might hurt yourself.

Really, Hombre? You Wanna Invade US?

The Communist front-runner in the upcoming Mexican elections has an interesting message:  get the Hell out of Mexico when I become El Presidente!!

Mexican presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) called for mass immigration to the United States during a speech Tuesday declaring it a “human right” for all North Americans.
“And soon, very soon — after the victory of our movement — we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.”

He then declared it as “a human right we will defend,” reports

Yes, well....his concern for the Mexicans he will impoverish is admirable.  But invading another country is NOT so admirable, and could result in casualties.

Jake Joke Tapper

Ace gives us the latest chapter in the 'journalism' file of Joke Tapper, Democrat activist.

Unfortunately, CNN and ESPN are both part of my cable package.  We will agitate for 'a la carte,' of course.

Wannabe-Dictator McCain. Still a Loser

Apparently all that "honor" stuff that McCain was supposed to learn at Annapolis didn't last very long.  In fact, it disappeared during his FIRST term with the Keating S&L scandal, and things got worse from there on.

He's ruined enough of this country and God has intervened.

Ramesh: Pubbie "Grip" on Voters Is Temporary, Too

Headline on Hot Air today:

"After Trump:  His Grip on the GOP is Partial and Temporary."

Yah, so?

The GOP's "grip" on US citizens is a LOT more tenuous than that.  In fact, Ramesh (as you probably know), Trump nailed down the Reagan Democrats to go along with the Pubbies.  (The exception was the Mean Girl's Club of Never Trump twits.)

So here's the real, germane, question:  Where will Flyover Country go in 2024?

Got Addresses on Strzok and The Broad?

Seems like "doxxing" is the thing these days.

With that in mind, and with the tourist-revenues this could bring, does anyone know where the two FBI seditionists live?

It's FAKE News on the Border

So the Fake News bunch used a photo.

The photo of a crying little girl was faked-up to be a Trump/Hitler thing.

The mom deserted her husband and effectively kidnapped the little girl, who was crying because she wants her Daddy, not some bunch of one-night stands.

Teh Stupids: Your Gummint

Think the FedGov is a ridiculous bureaucratic bunch (except for the FBI, NSA, and IRS which hate actual American citizens)?

It's worse than you think.  Here, Peter captures a video.

Titled "IT's STUPID!!"

Pp. Francis Channels Obama

Maybe Pp. Francis thought this would work.

Speaking about the dubia in his latest interview, Pope Francis told the Reuters news service that he learned about the four cardinals' questions "from the newspapers."...

Sure.  That's the ticket!!

A little advice, Your Holiness:  do NOT imitate the World Champion Liar, Obama.  That stuff might stick to your cassock, as it were....

Tammy Tongue-Tied. THIS Is a Senator?

Is Tammy Tongue-Tied a U.S. Senator or just a box of rocks sitting on a do-nothing record, hoping to get another 6 years of salary and benefits?

Little Miss Tammy Tongue-Tied approved it when Obozo put kids in cages and wrapped them in tinfoil blankets.  That was when Little Miss Tammy Tongue-Tied was approving the V.A.'s "Candyland" approach to treatment of our veterans.

She's not a Senator.  She's a useless lump.

Lyin' Ryan's No-Wall Bill: Maybe Next Week

Looks as though Lyin' Paul Ryan's cheap imitation immigration-limits bill won't get a vote this week.  It may get a vote NEXT week, but the Democrats in the Senate will torpedo it.

There's no wall in Lyin' Ryan's bill.  Gohmert calls him out here.

Walls work, of course.  How do we know?

Lyin' Ryan's house has a wall around it.

Even MORE Corn-A-Hole Up Your.........

Trump should be reminded that CORN IS FOR EATING.

Trump is a city boy, may not know this stuff.

Lyin' Ryan Gets Told!

You can look up the near-fistfight between Lyin' Paul Ryan and Rep. Meadows; it's all over the morning (REAL) news.  Apparently Ryan lied to Meadows about the contents of the Ryan (and modified Goodlatte) immigration bills and Meadows told Ryan to F.O.A.D.

Meantime, the President had a message for Ryan, too.

...“Why is this coming up now? I mean, it’s so obvious am I right? Mitch knows. The economy, jobs, North Korea, there’s so much great news they had to do the fake news. I’m not saying the pictures aren’t bad. They’re bad. Certainly not good. They make it look bad. You have to do something. You have to work together. It could be such a big, beautiful thing if you did that. The Democrats won’t help. We all know that. They think this is good for them. We’ll see about that. But doing something, working together, isn’t that why you’re here? It should be. And if you don’t do that and November doesn’t work out for you then I’m sorry but you shouldn’t be here. Go do nothing somewhere else.”...

Oh, but not to worry.  The usual RadioMouths will be slobbering over Ryan.  Puke-time.

Disgraced Cdl. McCarrick. Lots More to Come?

Yah, well.  Many, many years ago, a woman named Randy Engel wrote a long series of articles for The Wanderer which exposed the irregularities, demi-heresies, and liturgical abuses going on in the Diocese of Newark.

The Bishop at the time?  McCarrick.

Now it turns out that Rod Dreher was on to McCarrick in the early 2000's but couldn't put it all in print--and Dreher advises there's a lot more than just one kid 50 years ago and a bunch of seminarians.

...I do know this much: in 2012, one reporter I know personally nailed the McCarrick story, with on-the-record interviews and having dug up court papers. The major magazine for which he was doing the story killed it at the last minute. To this day he does not know why. Again, I have an idea, but it is only speculation. I do know from my extensive, detailed conversations with this journalist, as well as from my own conversations with sources in 2002, that there is a lot more on this story yet to come out — that is, if reporters and editors are interested in making sure Cardinal McCarrick has his #MeToo moment....

Almost enough to make you ask where McCarrick ate his pizza in D.C., eh?

HUSCO vs. USA? Hmmmm.

Yes, those are rather stark terms, eh?  HUSCO, formerly a Koehring subsidiary and now owned by "Gus" Ramirez, 'versus' the USA?  Just because "Gus" decided to set up and operate a plant in Communist China??

Say it ain't so!

Or we could just quote from a summary of a report:

Today, the White House Office of Trade & Manufacturing Policy (OTMP) released a report outlining how China’s policies threaten the economic and national security of the United States.

OTMP studied how China seeks to capture, through its “Made in China 2025” plan, the emerging high-technology industries that will drive future economic growth. China is targeting industries ranging from artificial intelligence, aerospace, and augmented and virtual reality to high-speed rail and shipping and new energy vehicles. Many of these “Made in China 2025” industries have important defense applications.

OTMP outlines how China aggressively seeks to acquire American technology and intellectual property through multiple vectors including: physical and cyber theft, forced technology transfers, evading United States export controls, export restraints on raw materials, and investments in more than 600 high-technology assets in the United States worth close to $20 billion....

Oh, yeah.....well, apparently Communist China is an enemy of the US.  Doh.

So what about HUSCO?

...In addition to its U.S. factories, Husco has plants in China and other countries. About half of the company’s business is in automotive components, and the other half is in components for off-highway equipment such as excavators and mining trucks....

Naturally, Austin Ramirez (presumably "Gus's" son) speaks in Political Correct (not real English) about this.

.... “I am a fan of doing something to combat poor behavior from China, relative to intellectual property theft and other things they do to prop up their domestic industries....

"Poor behavior," eh, Austin?  Can't quite say "Criminal espionage and extortion"?

At some point in time, Austin, you and Gus will have to decide which country is more important to you.  And you'll have to say so very clearly.

Lefty SBUX To Abandon Lefty Cities

Starbucks, the Lefty and insanely overpriced coffee outfit, is closing 150 stores in domestic shithole large cities--the ones with "minimum wage" demands and the usual zillion-or-so regulatory and licensing demands.

So as Breitbart observes, it's 'do as I say, not as I do' for SBUX.

This is my *surprised* face.....

Lawyers Breed Psychopaths!

You've all heard that Mordor on the Potomac has the country's highest proportion of psychopaths.

You're not shocked, either.

More interesting:

...a higher concentration of lawyers predicts higher psychopathy prevalence. I kid you not.
So removing D.C. can you guess which states come in the top three? I bet you can.
  1. Connecticut
  2. California
  3. New Jersey
So we should define "psychopath"--even though meeting a lawyer should be definition enough.

...The personality traits generally corresponding to psychopathy are low neuroticism, high extraversion, low agreeableness, and low conscientiousness....

In short:  think of Hillary.

'No Homosex Families'--Pp. Francis

The Pope has re-stated what natural law has held since the beginning.

...In the same spontaneous address, Pope Francis said only heterosexuals can form a family. "It is painful to say this today: People speak of varied families, of various kinds of family," but "the family [as] man and woman in the image of God is the only one."...

Certain German prelates and at least one noisy US Jesuit hit their fainting couches while clutching their pearls.

Hildebeeste, Moral Queen

Laugh of the year candidate:

Hillary Clinton lecturing on "morals" and "the Bible".

Done contemplating that irony?  OK.  As you were.

Mogadishu, Maine

You thought Mogadishu was in Somalia, not Maine?

Maybe it's both places.

Last month, two dozen Somali youths swarmed and attacked two Maine residents in a park in Lewiston, beating them with sticks while laughing, as video of the incident shows.

One of the victims was hospitalized, but no charges were filed.

Then, last Tuesday, a group of Somalis fired pellet guns at non-Somalis in the same park. A fight broke out and one non-Somali, a 38-year-old father of two, died days later from his injuries....

Paul Ryan's immigration compromise wonders about it, eh?

They'll Force Buying of New Trucks. Nice.

Not really a surprise:  large truck manufacturers forcing truckers to purchase NEW trucks instead of refurbished "glider" older ones.

How to do that?

Easy.  Fake up the EPA testing.

...Through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, Milloy obtained emails between two lobbyists at Volvo Group North America, and high-ranking officials in Ann Arbor, Mich., where EPA’s vehicle emissions testing lab is located.

“The emails show that Volvo lobbyists were working to supplying EPA staff with glider trucks so that rogue EPA staff could dishonestly ‘test’ glider emissions and issue a damning report that could be waved about at a public hearing on the proposed rule rollback,” Milloy said.

Volvo opposes repealing regulations on glider kits — new truck bodies that use refurbished engines and are substantially cheaper to buy than trucks with new engines. Volvo and other truck engine makers joined environmentalists in lobbying the Obama administration to regulate glider kits in 2016....

The business model is based on ENGINE sales, not body sales.

AND....this won't be the last time EPA is found to be corrupt.   Plenty more to come!!

Broward Coward: "...No Legal Duty...."

Why no, the Broward Coward had NO LEGAL DUTY to take action.

That's pretty much a stupid question.

And no, your local cops have NO LEGAL DUTY to protect you, either.  Also a stupid question.

Got your 9mm?  Ammo?  Or are those also stupid questions?

The FBI/DOJ Thing? Oh, It Gets Worse!

Sundance, over at the Treehouse, has spent a lot--actually, a TON--of time on the FBI/Russians/Hillary/Trump/Weiner/(etc., etc., etc) scandal.  You can go to the website and look for yourselves.

And he has these neat little nuggets.  Like for example, today's:

...Within the IG report almost all of the key participants’ names are hidden.  Instead the report’s authors chose to use descriptions like: “FBI Agent #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, etc.” Or “Analyst 1, 2, 3”; or “FBI Lawyer-1, FBI Lawyer-2”; or the ridiculously byzantine insider acronyms for all of the positions of the officials.  A conveniently useful bureaucratic mess of acronyms to hide behind.  Flippin’ ridiculous is what it is.  I digress…

The point is – by using descriptions the IG hides the obvious.  Those acronym-hidden officials still work inside the current FBI and DOJ; and that’s another big issue creating the Battered Institutional System that infects both of the Trump appointees.

Case in point: FBI Lawyer #1.  We know who she is because we’ve done a great deal of research on the issues, and many of these titles/acronyms are listed by name in the Page/Strzok messages.  FBI Lawyer #1 is Tashina “Tash” Gauhar, literally from the school and law firm of former Obama “wingman” Attorney General Eric Holder....

Yup.  Holder hired her ass at his previous lawfirm, then hired her ass into the FBI/DOJ.

Ain't that interesting?

Oh, yah--she helped persuade Sessions to recuse himself.

Menses v. the Navy. Navy Lost.

Oh, well, what's a destroyer or two?

...During the early weeks after the USS Fitzgerald was speared by a lumbering Philippine container ship, it was noteworthy that the captain and a couple of admirals were publically named, but not the actual officer in charge, the officer of the deck. (OOD) The other person who should have kept the Fitz out of trouble is the person in charge of the combat information center, the Tactical Action Officer. That individual is supposed to be monitoring the combat radar, which can detect a swimmer at a distance of two miles.

Not until a year later, when the final reports are made public and the guilty parties have been court-martialed, does the truth come out. The OOD was named Sarah, and the Tactical Action Officer was named Natalie, and they weren’t speaking to each other!!! The Tactical Action Officer would normally be in near constant communication with the OOD, but there is no record of any communication between them that entire shift!.
..quoted at The Other McCain

In this area a reporter-ette spent some time aboard a carrier; one of the officers on that carrier was a woman from Wisconsin.  Maybe she'll be replacing one of the two idiots above, eh?

It's Not "Pubbies" They Hate....

It's not "the Republicans" that they hate.

It's the Dirt People.  You know:  rubes, despicables, bitter clingers, h8ters, bible-thumpers, ....the people who stand up for the National Anthem, who do dirty jobs, pay taxes, and who support the lifestyles of the Rich and Famous who are sucking the life out of this country in D.C.--or Mordor on the Potomac, a far more fitting title.

You only have to look at the work history here to understand that.

...Ms. Nuland, a longtime State Department official who served in the George W. Bush administration as the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, served during the Obama administration as assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs.

In that capacity, according to the book “Russian Roulette,” she played an instrumental role in the evolution of Christopher Steele’s negative campaign research on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in 2016 by giving permission for an FBI agent in London to meet with the former U.K. intelligence officer....

She, and thousands like her, are PermaState.  They are swamp-creatures, entitled, self-absorbed, highly compensated, and prosecution-proof Ents.  They are Republicans and Democrats, makes no difference.

It's not Trump.  It's everyone who is NOT a swamp-creature that they hate.

For more--and better--on this, see Conrad Black's essay.

Dear Cdl. Dolan: Read the LAW About Immigrants

Cdl. Dolan has been hoodwinked by the Social Justice Warriors known as "USCC Staffers."  He's not the only prelate with this problem, but he's the only one who appeared on CNN and told all twenty-three viewers of that show that he really doesn't know anything about the "children" problem at the border.

Here's the problem, Your Eminence.   First:  anyone can LEGALLY request asylum at any US Port-of-Entry.  No 'separations' will occur under those conditions.

However, if one crosses the border ILLEGALLY, well, then.....

This is a BRIEF excerpt from an article which describes a COMPLEX set of rules, so if you want the whole thing read the linked item.

...The adult should be reunited quickly with his or her child, and the family returned home as a unit. In this scenario, there’s only a very brief separation.

Where it becomes much more of an issue is if the adult files an asylum claim. In that scenario, the adults are almost certainly going to be detained longer than the government is allowed to hold their children.

That’s because of something called the Flores Consent Decree from 1997. It says that unaccompanied children can be held only 20 days. A ruling by the Ninth Circuit extended this 20-day limit to children who come as part of family units. So even if we want to hold a family unit together, we are forbidden from doing so.....

As we all know, the 9th Circus is by far the left-most wackiest Court in the USA, if not the entire universe.  (By the way, this Consent Decree was brought up by Grim's Hall two weeks ago.  It's not news.)

You can take up the legalities with the Court, Eminence.  And when you learn what the truth actually is, you can fire the whole bunch of fellow-travelers at USCC--which was created by Barry Obozo's pal Cdl. Bernardin, who was under the influence of Saul Alinsky's disciples in Chicago.   Draw your own conclusions, Eminence.

Pp. Francis Dead-On Here

Nice to see that Pp. Francis gets it and says it out loud.

Pope Francis on Saturday said that the use of abortion to terminate pregnancies likely to produce disabled or chronically ill children was the product of a Nazi mentality.

“It is fashionable, or at least usual, that when in the first few months of a pregnancy doctors do studies to see if the child is healthy or has something, the first idea is: ‘Let’s send it away,’” the pope said. “We do the same as the Nazis to maintain the purity of the race, but with white gloves on.”...

Next thing he'll mention that Margaret Sanger was tight with Adolf Hitler.  That's not co-incidence, either.

Maybe "Riots" Pelosi will think about her unwavering support for Planned ParenthoodMurder Inc.?

FBI Sent *How Many* Spies?

"There is no such thing as co-incidence."  That's a truism voiced by Jack Ryan, the hero in Tom Clancy's books.  It's also germane in Spygate.

WaPo reports that a Russki who uses a couple of different names approached Roger Stone--a Trump ally--offering 'dirt' on the Hildebeeste for $2 million.  Stone blew the guy off.

Hmmm.  Later in the story we see this:

...Stone and Caputo’s interactions with Greenberg mean that at least 11 Trump associates or campaign officials have acknowledged interactions with a Russian during the election season or presidential transition. Those interactions have become public in the year and a half since a Trump spokeswoman said that no one associated with the campaign had communications with Russians or other foreign entities....

Based on what the FBI and DOJ say (which is often false or misleading) many of these contacts occurred a few months before the FBI officially launched Spygate.  There's no reason to believe the FBI's version, of course.

So it's not just onesey-twosey here.  It's eleven-sey and counting.

That's not co-incidence.  That's exactly what Trump says it is:  Spygate.

Karma, the Byotch

In Madistan, a teachers' union Big Kahuna gets bitten in the ass by teachers' union political choices.  So she wasn't real careful about what she was wishing for--and she got it, good and hard.

All together now:  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwww.

Tesla Model S Becomes Flamethrower

Yah, I've ripped off that meme from ZeroHedge.

But it is what it is.  Video at this link.

One of the earlier (and more expensive) Teslas roars about in this area.  I think I'll keep my distance.

Woodrow Wilson's Progeny: Hitler

A while back, we mentioned that Woodrow Wilson's hatred of the Catholic emperors Hapsburg and Hohenzollern was the precipitator of Hitler's regime.

Wilson pushed the US into a war against those royal families and succeeded in toppling their regimes.  As you also know, there was no GOOD reason to do that, except for Wilson's animus.

Well, then, we're delighted to note that a rather famous fellow who was intimately aware of European history confirms this....

This war would never have come unless, under American and modernising pressure, we had driven the Habsburgs out of Austria and the Hohenzollerns out of Germany. By making these vacuums we gave the opening for the Hitlerite monster to crawl out of its sewer on to the vacant thrones. No doubt these views are very unfashionable….Winston Churchill, 8th April 1945
Yes, they are "unfashionable," Winston.  Truth is very often "unfashionable."  But that doesn't make it "un-truth," does it?

Bishops Dump "Stewardship", Embrace Cult of Green

The latest demi-cult of the US Bishops is Green-ism.  And as usual, it's costing Catholics money.

...The U.S. bishops were pressed Wednesday to lend their collective and individual names to an environmentalist petition to reverse President Donald Trump’s decision to exit the controversial Paris Climate Agreement

Des Moines Bishop Richard Pates exhorted the bishops to endorse the Catholic Climate Covenant’s (CCC) U.S. Catholic Climate Declaration....

Blahblabblahblah fabbleyotzie crap.

The Paris agreement has nothing to do with "stewardship" and everything to do with the Green Cult--which worships Gaia, not God.

And by the way, did you know US Catholics are tossing money away on this?

...Pates is the Bishops’ liaison to the Catholic Climate Covenant (CCC), a D.C.-area nonprofit created in 2006 by the Bishops’ conference....

Let's look at the web-page.

...With the approval and support of the United States bishops, we help guide the US Church's response to the moral call for action on climate change by sharing authentic Catholic teaching on creation and the poor and by informing and inspiring community leaders to take action (education); by sharing stories of those most affected by climate impacts in the public square (public witness); and by providing concrete tools, techniques, and technical assistance to help Catholic peoples and institutions reduce their carbon footprint and to work for justice (resources)....

That's smarmy enough to make a Marine puke.  And notice how these twits pair "creation" and "the poor", implying that "carbon" creates the poor and destroys creation.   Bet you didn't know that, didja?

And didja know that you put $20,000.00 (or possibly $50,000.00) into that steaming pot stuff?

Well, now you do!  Happy??

Mordor-On-The-Potomac's Armed Guards

Let's not forget that Robert Mueller built the FBI which James Comey briefly managed.  And that very same FBI--the one Mueller built--is now being managed by another "respectable" D.C. insider.  Uh-huh.

Mordor-on-the-Potomac's Armed Guards (also known as the FBI) have done rather well since J Edgar Hoover crapped all over their reputation with his persecutions.  But the Armed Guards didn't learn anything from that.  In fact, they simply became more adroit liars and leakers.  They were better at tipping the scales, partly because they had the rest of Mordor on board with them:  the courts and the legislators--and the press.

Lying and leaking are not the biggest problem.  The biggest problem is that they see themselves as the Armed Guards of Mordor and they are arrayed against citizens who are NOT part of the Mordor machine.  They guard the Cloud People against the Dirt People.  And the Cloud People--the people of Mordor--enjoy having these Armed Guards, so they take care of them.

Trump thinks he can defeat them.

Gee, Paul: Are You Now "Lyin' Ryan"? UPDATED!!

Looks like Paul Ryan is in a serious downward cycle.

...Ryan claimed, falsely, to House Republican members recently in a conference meeting that the president did support the Ryan amnesty bill–something the president confirmed on Fox and Friends on Friday morning was not true. The president opposes the bill and Ryan’s continued claims that Trump did back the bill are now proven to be false....

What happened to that "Nice Young Man from Janesville"?

Hint:  he became a Typical Political Crapweasel from Mordor on the Potomac, the home of Robert Mueller's FBI.

Too bad, eh?

UPDATE:  White House clarifies that Trump loves him some Ryan bills.

Uhhhmmmmmm......that's sad, Donald.

Mueller Stinks Up the Constitution

A reminder:  Robert Mueller built the FBI that James Comey ran for a few years.

Yes, the FBI that lies, cheats, and plots against a duly-elected President.  The FBI that thinks anti-Swamp voters are ignorant "pieces of shit."  That's Robert Mueller's FBI.

Now Mueller, desperate for ANY sort of dirt on the President, jails that President's former campaign chairman.

Not because the guy is a flight risk, or because he's a danger to the public.

Because he wants that campaign chairman to give up the dirt.

This is offensive to the Constitution, of course--but Mueller, who has falsely convicted people and put them in prison for YEARS, doesn't care, because Mueller thinks that he's going to get away with this crap scot-free.

Just like Chisholm and Schmitz in Wisconsin did.  So far.

Teleprompter Blues for Obozo

Besides being a total crapweasel Commie, Obozo had other limitations:  without a prompter he was useless.

*Shock* Obozo Destroyed Files, Illegally

Well, Obama has always been a piece of shit.  Now he has a taxpayer-funded pension and remains a piece of shit.

The archivist in charge of transferring former President Barack Obama’s records into the National Archives has run across a serious problem, according to a report published Sunday: A lot of the records are missing....

... The former president, it must be noted, signed a law that put electronic communications under the 1950 Federal Records Act. However, it doesn’t seem that his practice is quite what he preaches.

Lipscomb wrote that “the accumulation of recent congressional testimony has made it clear that the Obama administration itself engaged in the wholesale destruction and ‘loss’ of tens of thousands of government records covered under the act as well as the intentional evasion of the government records recording system by engaging in private email exchanges....

Nah.  The RUSSIANS found and destroyed all those records.  Better call Mueller, eh?

Robbie George Becomes Jesuitical Lawyer (!?!)

Robbie George, of Princeton, was a reliable orthodox Catholic voice--until about 12 months ago.  I noticed something in one of his writings which didn't make sense--but I brushed it off and don't recall the matter any more.

However, Prof. George has gone off the rails again, this time with a spectacular leap into mind-benderism.  Austin Ruse reports:

...Several months ago, Professor George published a column at the Public Discourse wherein he grappled with the central contradiction in James Martin’s statements about Church teaching on homosexuality. How does one square Martin’s claim that he does not reject Church teaching and his statements that very clearly do?

George said the key to squaring this circle is the use of “mental reservation.” George wrote, “When Fr. Martin says he supports the Church’s teaching, he isn’t saying that he supports what most people mean by ‘the Church’s teaching,’ including what the popes and bishops (or ‘institutional’ Church) have for centuries taught on marriage and sexuality in what they themselves see as exercises of their apostolic authority. He means that he accepts the Church’s truly authoritative teaching, which he thinks does not include the propositions that homosexual conduct is immoral or even, perhaps, that marriage is exclusively the union of man and woman.” Martin takes this view because the official teaching is not authentic on account that it has never been “received” by the LGBT community....

Sure.  Yup.  Anything you say, Robbie.

By the way, Robbie, Jesuitical lawyers are generally wrong.  Not only in facts, but in spirit.  You might want to consider that next time you visit your confessor.

Actually, It's Mueller's FBI

James Comey is a flaming idiot whose statements in the last few days will allow him an insanity defense at his trial.  But he was only the FBI Director for a few years.

The FBI that makes Gowdy unhappy was managed by Robert Mueller, who had complete control of the outfit from 2001-2013.  That's twelve years' worth of promoting people like Stzrok and McCabe.  Twelve years of filtering OUT management which saw its duty to the nation, not to the FBI.

Nation, not FBI.  Big difference.

And where is Robert Mueller now, folks??  Hmmmmm???

Chris Wray: Don't Assume You're "Respected"

Mr. Wray has a big problem in his lap.

FBI Director Christopher Wray took a subtle swipe at President Trump Thursday in his response to whether or not he believes Trump’s public display of disaffection has affected the FBI’s reputation....

One can ignore Trump and still think that the FBI has a lot of rotten, toady, self-serving, elitist jackwads (not to mention idiot dancer/gun-handlers) on its payroll.

Why can one think that?  Because one reads the news, Mr. Wray.

Pelosi Calls for Riots

Nancy Pelosi should STFU before someone gets hurt.

During her press briefing on Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) commented on families being separated at the border by stating, “I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. And maybe there will be, when people realize that this is a policy that they defend.”...

The action is required by the 9th Circuit Court.  There are lots of good reasons to have serious questions about that bunch of wack-jobs, but yapping about "uprisings" ain't real smart, Nancy.

And the same goes for the Catholic Bishops, some of whom seem to be operating with less than a full deck on this question too.

Dear Alberta: Illinois is BANKRUPT!

Alberta Darling has been a great Pubbie fighter, but on occasion Alberta's love for the RoadBuilders lobby is too much to take.

..."Now when I go into Illinois using I-94, I'm amazed at how the (stereotype) has changed — that the roads in Illinois are much better than I-94 going in and out of Wisconsin," said Sen. Alberta Darling, co-chairwoman of the Legislature's budget-writing committee....

Yah, well, if Alberta looks REALLY HARD at the finances of Illinois she'll find that Illinois is the Walking Dead financially.  In fact, Alberta should be looking at ways to keep Illinois' debt crisis from landing on the heads of Wisconsin taxpayers.

Roads look and feel good for 10-15 years, then they need repair.  We'll manage.  Tell your RoadBuilder pals that they'll get some money.  Or hey!  Tell them that Illinois is looking for highway contractors who'd like to get paid about.......oh..........5-10 years after the road is done.  That should make them happy!!!

Just not real soon.

Stanford U., Prison, and Lying Professors

Well, now.  It appears that a Big Shot Psychology Prof at Stanford completely faked a very well-known "study" on authority and abuse.

...Guards were reportedly so cruel to inmates that the experiment had to be cut short after just six days of its planned two-week duration.

The study and its authors have been cited for decades as proof that cruelty is driven by circumstance.

'The Stanford Prison Experiment is often used to teach the lesson that our behaviour is profoundly affected by the social roles and situations in which we find ourselves,' Dr Blum wrote in a report posted to Medium.

'But its deeper, more disturbing implication is that we all have a wellspring of potential sadism lurking within us, waiting to be tapped by circumstance.'...

Yah, well, it's complete and utter bullshit.  You can read the newspaper article about it.  Now you don't have to worry about your 'inner sadism'.

AMA Moves to Beijing, Issues Demands

Although this was not announced in the press, the American Medical Association (AMA) has moved its headquarters to Beijing, Communist China.  In accordance with the wishes of the ChiCom dictatorship, the AMA recently issued demands for changes in US gun laws.

...Proposals include outlawing not only the sale of what the group referred to as "assault-type" weapons but also their possession, outlawing the possession of any firearms by adults under 21 years old, a national gun registry, requiring a license to own any firearms, and gun buyback programs among a number of other proposals. The group also called for a ban on the possession of bump-fire stocks, stated its opposition to teachers being allowed to carry firearms in schools, and stated its opposition to national concealed-carry reciprocity. The group also called for the passage of a law which would bar those convicted of domestic violence offenses from owning guns even though federal law already includes such a provision....

It is not known how many of the US medical doctor comrades signed on to this document.  There may have been 2 or 3, but the number is irrelevant.  It's the agit-prop that counts, in the words of the beloved Mao Tse-Tung, Butcher of the Far East and Hero of the Republic.

Some Bishops Are Wacko.

We laughed when we read this.

...Bishop Edward Weisenburger of Tucson, Ariz., made a bolder suggestion, raising the possibility of implementing canonical penalties for Catholics “who are involved in this,” referring to children being separated from their families at the border. ...

OK, Bish.  Give them the very same "canonical penalties" you've imposed--publicly--on the "Catholic" pro-abortion politicians in your Diocese and in the US.

I hear the crickets, Bish.

And since Fake News is your information feed, let me help you with the facts:  that "separation" thing is a result of a standing order from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Why don't you excommunicate that whole Court, Bish?

Belling reports that the Feds claim to have broken up a major ISIS terror-cell /sleeper-cell op in.....

Cudahy, WI.

Can't be true.  They make bacon there.  Or at least they used to.

Mueller Descends Past Chisholm-Level Prosecution

Not even John Chisholm and Francis Schmitz sank this low in their prosecutorial misconduct.

Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has taken the concept of the Star Chamber to new levels of dangerous judicial prosecution.  In a motion in Washington DC today Mueller’s team scramble to hide their invisible evidence after the people they indicted demand the right to see it....

Well....after all.....who needs a trial??  Simply declare them GUILTY and put them in prison!!

Meantime:  whatever happened to "collusion," asswipe?

Smooth Move, Robin Vos!

We note that Rep. Jacques lost to a Democrat in the special Senate election.

Cock-Robin Vos should be proud of himself for doing his damndest to defeat Jacques.

It is time for the (R) Ass caucus to consider leadership which considers Wisconsin citizens before lobbying interests.  Cock-Robin doesn't seem to have that sensibility.

Naming Names: Obama in Strzok Texts

This certainly does not come as a surprise:  Barack Obama was directly involved in Spygate and the coverup thereof.  Read the ScribD letter, HT PowerLine

Happy to note that Ron Johnson is making this clear.

What?  Didn't hear about that in the MSM?

Insert Shocked Face Here.

Fixing the Social Security Crisis: Kids!!!

There are a few things that can be done immediately to fix the Social Security crisis.  They are remarkably small things, such as pushing 'retirement' age out by a year or so, increasing contributions by 1% (individual) plus 1% (employer), and ending the "cap" on Social Security-taxable earnings.

But there's something which is FAR more important than all of those--and which will last FAR longer to the benefit of the United States of America.

Have children within marriage.  Lots of 'em.

To that end, I link an essay which is remarkable for its veracity and clarity.  A couple of excerpts:

...The measure of successful parenthood, and therefore happy, healthy childhoods, is nearly always reduced to this: how much of your life energy are you devoting to your child?

Not only is this frame of determining a child’s welfare too narrow, it is distorting our view of what makes a happy, healthy family. A family is not a series of unilateral connections that funnel resources and guidance between a parent and each of his or her children, but rather a tightly woven web of relationships among all members of the family....

Measuring by materialism's standards is--after all--Marxist, whether or not 'good Calvinists' agree with that statement.

...The truth is that siblings are a vastly underrated blessing. They teach older siblings to look after and protect those younger and more vulnerable. They provide role models for younger siblings to emulate. That extends beyond learning to walk and talk sooner to learning responsibility and how to interact with others in constructive ways.

Siblingship doesn’t just foster cooperation, compromise, and forgiveness, it requires them. You can’t divorce your sister or kick her out of the house. Learning to get along is a necessity, and the skills and character necessary to do that will help children thrive now and much later in life....

Yah, well, sometimes that doesn't work out perfectly.   So what?

...Big families aren’t inefficient economic units. They’re interesting and loud and dramatic and fun, and they produce more lifelong relationships that will continue to enrich your sons’ and daughters’ lives long after you die. Instead of ridiculing big families or dismissing them as unworkable, critics might consider having one themselves....

And to those old ladies in the grocery who raise their eyebrows at your family, or make insulting remarks--well, just smile sweetly and ask how their cats are doing, and are there any kitty-cat-grandchildren yet?

Lincoln (NE.) Catholics

It should be noted that H.E. Fabian Bruskewitz was the Bishop of Lincoln, NE.  for a number of years.  You could contrast his time in Lincoln with that of his contemporary (H E Weakland) in Milwaukee.

There is a great deal of contrast to be seen, although in fairness to Weakland, the homosexual/ephebophile-priest problem began in the Major Seminary before Weakland ever heard of Milwaukee.

...Much has been written about the successes of the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska. Never lacking in vocations, it consistently has the #1 or #2 highest ratio of priests-to-laity of any diocese in America. All of its seminarians learn the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter has its own seminary in the diocese, along with the diocese’s own St. Gregory the Great Seminary. Reverent Masses in the Ordinary Form are the norm. Only altar boys are permitted. There are no Permanent Deacons, however laymen are installed as Acolytes and Lectors. And their Catholic schools are healthy and well-attended.

One of the reasons their schools have attracted so many students is that tuition is kept very low, on the order of $1,000 or lower, depending on the school. A “Parish Scholarship” system funded by stewardship at the diocesan and parish level makes up for the shortfall in the actual cost of educating a student. This buy-in from the top down has resulted in the Diocese of Lincoln opening new Catholic elementary schools at the same time that many other dioceses are experiencing net closures of schools. Perhaps the others should look to Lincoln for an example.

Admittedly, it is difficult to shove Archdiocesan dollars around while the Archdiocese is bankrupt.

Ignoring Trump's Tariff Suggestion. Surprised?

In a mid-length article political screed appearing in the Milwaukee Litterbox Liner, we find that all of Wisconsin businesses will soon be BK, homelessness will become rampant, all the lights will go out, and the oceans will rise and drown both coasts.  (This last may be a very good thing, however.  Stay tuned.)

A family-company manager named Doug Reigle (Regal Ware) admits that he has been supporting the economy of Canada Communist China by purchasing ChiCom aluminum through a fence called "Canada."

....real families are being crushed by these tariffs right now,” said Doug Reigle of Regal Ware, a company with 200 employees in West Bend that makes cookware and small kitchen appliances.
“We ship our products all over the world — 65 percent of our revenue comes from outside the United States …  and the tariffs are hitting us especially hard,” said Reigle, who said his firm has already spent about $150,000 this year to cover the tariffs....All of Regal Ware’s aluminum comes from Canada.  “We can’t even buy it in the United States,” Reigle said....

He makes Trump's point, of course.  The US aluminum industry is on its can (heh) because the Chinese Communists have driven it out of business.  Yes, that's a national security matter and I'm certain that Doug Reigle is very concerned about national security.  Right?

The authors even managed to find a guy moaning about the "severe" impact on BEER (aluminum cans, ya'know.)  Yah.  About 6/100ths of a penny per can.  Horrible.  Pearls are clutched, fainting-couch is under strain from heavyweight reporters smashing into it from their usual places on barstools...

Moving along.

Trump suggested that there should be NO tariffs among the G-7.  None.  Zip.  Nada.  And--of course--there should be no nation-state subsidizations of industries, either.  Imagine that!! A genuine "free market!!"

Not one word about that in the article political screed.

What we have here, friends, is people who are perfectly happy with THEIR preferred policies (probably gained through the usual purchase-of-politician games) who are screeching because somebody ELSE'S preferred policies upset their apple cart.

Yah, well, ask anyone who took it on the chops when GM, Chrysler, and Ford shipped their manufacturing out of the US to places like Mexico, Communist China, and Africa.

I'm sure you'll get a very sympathetic response.
