"Shortage of Personnel" on Airlines?

You've seen B-roll of ticket-holders sleeping in airports because their flights were cancelled.

The airlines have a narrative:  'It's due to the pandemic.'

Well, yes....in a manner of speaking.

United Airlines employees who have been granted exemptions to the company's COVID-19 vaccine mandate are allegedly being placed on indefinite unpaid leave, unable to seek employment elsewhere within the industry, access their 401(k) retirement savings, or file for unemployment. ...

The airline will have a 'shortage of personnel' if they force their employees to sit at home.  And yes, the pandemic is involved.

Airlines are like hospitals in that they MUST have X number of personnel on a flight.  If they force someone off the payroll, that someone cannot be on a flight.

Enjoy your airport naps!!
