It's been reported that Channel 4's Courtney Gerrish was the very first person to contact the widow of the Sherman/Capitol victim. Not the cops, who are trained. No respect for form, nor sensitivity (to say the least.)
"Hi! I'm from Channel 4. I assume that the cops called you. What's it like?"
You've earned the Asshole-of-the-Year award.
Don't you belong looking for rats in restaurants?

Dad - Jeff Wagner addressed this today.
According to him, Courtny called the family five hours after the murder thinking MPD would have contacted the family by then. They had not made contact. Even though the SUV was shown on TV and the family recognized it, they did not know for sure that it was Huggins.
Not that this makes calling the family for their "reaction" appropriate.
That qualifies as cute?
There's a bit of spin out there, eh, Headless?
101: FIRST you call the cop shop to make sure that the family knows what's up. THEN you make the call.
You don't have to go through that "ASSUME" thing, do you?
Well said Dad29....Gousha would have done that.....he had class....something TMJ has lost since he left.
D29 - I will admit that checking before calling would be the prudent course of action.
did anyone ever consider leaving the family alone after such a horrible incident? Really....what comment is anyone looking for. What at that point is there to say. How about respecting the family's privacy. Milwaukee media needs to re-evaluate what they consider "newsworthy". Morons.
