One Good Thing From Tokin'Tony

Owen Robinson may never recover from the vapors he got seeing this story.

The Miller Park tax is officially going to end.

The 0.1% sales tax, which started in 1996, helped fund construction of the Milwaukee Brewers’ stadium that replaced the beloved-but-aging County Stadium. The tax affected Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, Waukesha and Racine counties.
The tax ended up collecting nearly $600 million over its nearly 24-year life so far....

Maggie Gau's office boy signed the law (his name is Tony).

Keeping count?  That would be ONE.

well, given 1. the proposed MASSIVE MPS referendum 2. the Proposed Sales Tax iin Milwaukee Coiunty and 3. the inevitable Trolley cost overruns my guess is the (unelected) Stadium Taxing Authority (what a name!) realized they could only screw MKE so much.

Very interesting how this timing is working out. Almost as if Bareett Tecahers Union and the (unlected) Stadium Taxing authory were... colluding.
