Will Vos and Fitz Keep Up With Rahm??

George Mitchell was a fresh-faced reporter for the Wall Street Journal when I first met him in the early '70's; now he's a major supporter of the RoadBuilders--so he kinda likes increased gasoline taxes.  (He's probably not so fresh-faced any more.)

Alberta Darling decries the "condition of Wisconsin roads," apparently not having traveled on any of them for the last 5 years or so.  (Wake up and smell the concrete, Alberta!!!)

And of course, Robin Vos and Fitz, who want to slam money into the RoadBuilders' pockets but haven't figured out how to do it without getting strung up or tarred/feathered.

Well, for George, Alberta, Robin, Fitz, (and the RoadBuilders), we have Rahm Emanuel, providing cover for their upcoming larceny.

...Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a group of suburban leaders on Tuesday called for a 20 to 30 cent per gallon increase in the state’s gas tax to fund a major statewide transportation bill....
If you've been in the city of Chicago lately and purchased gasoline there, you know that it would certainly feel a little better with Vaseline.  Twenty or thirty cents more?

It's not difficult to fill up before hitting Illinois; soon it will be an economic imperative.
