The Bubble
in which JS writers live is really very small. About 99% (or more) of the metro area population either doesn't care about this OR heartily approves.
...[US Attorney] Krueger and other law enforcement partners sought to reassure skeptical
politicians and members of the public after President Donald Trump on
Wednesday announced the expansion of the Justice Department's Operation Legend to five cities, including Milwaukee....
(First off, the operation is called
"Le Gend". Why?
Don't hold your breath that any Nooz outlet around here makes that point.)
Secondly, other than the Perpetually Aggrieved and the politicians (including Morales) who oppose anything Trump does, who the Hell is "skeptical"?
Then there's this bit of logical incoherence:
...Many who have expressed concern and outrage over the plan see the effort
as a political move by the Trump administration, coming as Milwaukee
plans to host a mostly virtual Democratic National Convention and as
demonstrators here continue to protest police brutality and racism. ...
The reporter was already told that this op will concentrate on "back-room" stuff with FBI, BATF/E, DEA, and Marshal's Service. Can you spell "guns and drugs", reporter??
Further, if Trump really wanted to be "political," he'd let Antifa insurrectionists fire-bomb the Hell out of Milwaukee. We already know that Antifa is the (D) Party's enforcement arm (as was the KKK), and nothing gets voters into the booth faster than lawless activity. So Trump would benefit significantly if Milwaukee goes up in smoke, dumbass.
And of course, the "reporter" passes along the spin and lies from Antifa's Portland division.
...Those who spoke out, including Gov. Tony Evers, have referenced
Portland, Oregon, where federal officers in unmarked vehicles have grabbed protesters off the street and teargassed crowds,...
Let me get this straight, "reporter." After insurrectionists riot and attempt to burn down a Federal building, Federal agents apprehend the perpetrators and tear-gas crowds to protect Federal property. They used rental vans to evacuate the goblins. I'm searching really hard for the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil here (other than Orange Man Bad) but can't quite put a finger on it. Is Tokin'Tony Evers suggesting that burning down Federal buildings is approved? That apprehending perpetrators is NOT approved? That there is a law requiring Fed officers to drive "marked" vans?
OK, then, show me that law.
One more thing--which was available on wire services yesterday night:
...prompting the state's attorney general to file for a restraining order against federal officers....
Yah. And tossed out of court in about 60 seconds yesterday. Feds win, Oregon loses.
At least do your readers the honor of reporting the easily-available news. Pretend to be objective. Pretend to respect the readers, eh??
