Z-Man has it.
...You see the power of narrative in this story about January 6th. It is about content creators suing for access to video of January 6th. “Without full public access to the complete historical record, there is concern that an ideologically-based narrative of an already polarizing event will take hold in the public consciousness, with destabilizing risks to the legitimacy of Congress, the Capitol Police, and the various federal investigations and prosecutions of Jan. 6 crimes.”
In other words, the claim here is that without the proper narrative, people may come to an unwanted conclusion about the events of that day. Most people would read that and think the content creators are afraid of having their lies exposed. That may be part of it, but the main reason for the letter is they think narrative is reality. They think Tucker Carlson will create a new narrative to supplant the old narrative, which is the reality in which all of them exist.
What we are seeing with our ruling class is they have come to think of their tall tales as reality, while reality itself is a conspiracy theory. In the case of January 6th, they think the insurrection story is real. In that story, cops were killed by an angry mob trying to overthrow the government. It is a conspiracy theory to point out that the only person killed was a white woman executed by a black man. The former is their reality, while reality is a reckless conspiracy theory....
That particular madness happens to infect nearly everyone in D.C. and mutatis mutandis in every State capitol and even in the city halls in Big Cities (e.g., NYC, LA, Chicago, St Louis, DC--we can go on).
It is precisely 'madness' here; a detachment from reality directly descended from the "Great Man" theory Z discusses: "I/We are great, therefore what we want to be real is real.'
Variants include the madness of Making the World Conform to Our Model (the war on Russia) and Making the Grunts Obey (the Vaxx.)
This will not end well for them.
Here it comes!! MAGA's Ride With the Valkyries:
...The heart of my vision is a sweeping pro-American overhaul of our tax and trade policy to move from the Biden system that punishes domestic producers and rewards outsourcers, to a system that REWARDS domestic production and taxes FOREIGN companies and those who export American Jobs. They will be rewarded and rewarded greatly. And our country will benefit.
To achieve this goal, we will phase in a system of universal, baseline tariffs on most foreign products. On top of this, higher tariffs will increase incrementally depending on how much individual foreign countries devalue their currency. They devalue their currency to take advantage of the United States, and they subsidize their industries, or otherwise engage in trade cheating and abuse. And they do it now like never before, and we had it largely stopped and it was going to be stopped completely within less than a year.
As tariffs on foreign producers go up, taxes on American producers will go down and go down very substantially. And that means a lot of jobs coming in.
Not only will this system end our gaping trade deficits—and they are massive right now—and bring back millions of American jobs—it will also bring trillions and trillions of dollars pouring into the U.S. Treasury from foreign countries and allow us to invest that money in American workers, American families, and American communities....
That's why you may have noticed headlines this morning telling you that "Tariffs are Hitler" and "Tariffs Push Granny Off the Cliff" and "Tariffs Are Hiding Under Your Bed" (a favorite of the Chamber of Commerce.)
No other Republican candidate has a position remotely close to this one.
That's deliberate: they don't support this position, which means............ahhhh..........well...........go back to doing drugs, peasants.
"Defund the police" movements are fading as the reality of lawlessness bears down on citizens. Cops were winning the battle for respectability.
Then along came the J6 incident and a s**tload of police brutality--including one flat-out murder of an unarmed civilian woman and a serious beating given another one, leading to her death.......well.......
This CapCop's pride in using the end of a flagpole like a lance is just the beginning of what Tucker Carlson's going to show us next week.
If I were an honest cop, I'd find the nearest CapCop and beat the crap out of him.
The morning RadioMouth at WISN tells us that a get-out-the-vote scheme used by "Judge Janet" Protasiewicz is flat-out 'vote bribery,' which is a felony in Wisconsin.
We knew that "Judge Janet" has zero ethics because she's very clear on how she'll vote on the abortion matter which will be before the court in the next couple of years. Making her position clear is a violation of the judicial code of ethics.
It's not really a big step to go from ethics violations to criminal activity, of course; and baby-murderers are a very low breed from the get-go.
Think "Judge Janet" will put a stop to this?
David Hogg says a lot of stupid things. This is his latest:
...“You have no right to a gun. You are not a militia. When you’re talking about your second amendment rights you’re talking about a states right to have what is today the national guard. The modern interpretation of 2A is a ridiculous fraud pushed for decades by the gun lobby,” Hogg tweeted...
Blah blah blah.
However, it's important to remember that David Hogg's father is a FEEB, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Given what we know about the FBI's attitude towards citizens (they prefer 'subjects' to 'citizens') perhaps Little David is merely repeating what his Daddy told him.
But there's a legitimate debate there.
