Catholic Social-Disease Services

Cong. Glenn Grothman was on the radio this afternoon, and he mentioned that most of the invading  "refugees" near Laredo were being taken in and distributed around the country by Catholic Social Services.

So.  When your grandchildren catch measles, tuberculosis, or typhus due to the "service" rendered by Catholic Social-Disease Service, can you sue them for negligent disease-spreading?

By the way, some of the "refugees" are coming from Congo.

So when you--or your child--or grandchildren--come up with Ebola and die in less than 2 weeks, will you commence suit against Catholic Social-Disease Services for negligent homicide?  How about manslaughter?

Just asking......

CNN's Cash Crunch

This is usually the beginning of the end.

CNN is reportedly set to impose a “net 90” payment term on freelance employees beginning in June, meaning the company’s freelancers will be paid just once every three months....

Doesn't require an MBA to know that CNN is having cashflow problems.

Gee, that's too bad.

DeNiro's Clever, Lawyerly, Mis-Direction

Since Robert DeNiro is as crazy as a tick, any "list" he gins up deserves examination.

“Recently, over 1,000 former federal prosecutors, who served under both Republican and Democratic presidents have united to sign a statement to help Americans understand what’s actually in the Mueller report,” said De Niro, who portrays Robert Mueller on Saturday Night Live.
Oooooh.  We are supposed to be impressed!!

But there's a good deal of smelly gas filling DeNiro's balloon when you click through.  Most of the "U S Attorneys" are merely Federal lawyers, who belonged to Federal employee unions.  They were hired like anyone else and hung around doing the job.  Look carefully and you'll also find that most of them had hung around on the Federal payroll since the Clinton administration.

Summary:  they were worker-bees doing a job.  Since they were "career" lawyers, 'serving under Republican presidents' doesn't mean ...........s&^%.  It only means they picked up a paycheck while a Republican was in office.

Now, then.  Who is this "Robert DeNiro" person?

And finally:  need you a reminder of the DoJ's errors, omissions, and blatant bias?  I didn't think so.

Is FireEye Your Supplier?? FIRE THEM

This FireEye bunch has serious mental problems.

...FireEye announced on Thursday that Hillary Clinton will be a keynote speaker at a cyber defense summit this fall....
Why certainly!!  Hillary speaking on computer security matters!!  She also has expertise on "suicides" and chicken futures investing, ya'know.....in case you run out of questions.

By the way, one of FireEye's directors is some guy from Bain Capital.

How very cozy, eh?

Hey!! RoJo!! Call a Witness!!

Ron Johnson (R-WI) is the Chairman of the US Senate Homeland Security Committee.

We have lots of security problems in the US, some of which call for hearings and witnesses.

For example, there's Trump.

So, Ron:  how about calling Bob Mueller, snake extraordinaire, and asking him a bunch of questions about Trump, the Homeland Security Problem?

Or are you part of this group, Ron?

...I should mention that the Senate Republicans can call Mueller to testify, but I have little faith they will do that because they are sad, weak little men....Liz Shield,--quoted at AOSHQ
How about it, Ron?  You're leaving after this term.  Here's your chance to leave a REAL monument behind:  putting Bob Mueller into prison for perjury, faithless service, and generally treasonous activity, not to mention aggravated mopery.

Jesuits: "Let's Only Kill SOME Innocents!!!"

While listening to Mark Belling laud the new Jesuit Cristo Rey high school (catering to both boys and girls and targeted to the Hispanic population),  I also note that America magarag, a Jesuit publication, is looking for a via media on baby-killing.

...Many commentators recognize that these new laws are designed to mount a legal challenge to Roe v. Wade—but they fail to notice that these laws’ blunt restrictions are a mirror image of Roe’s broad rejection of any practical or effective limits on abortion. When abortion rights advocates defend Roe in order to reject any proposed restriction of abortion, they are taking an extreme position. That leaves no ground open for any compromise on less extreme laws. Pro-life legislators are going to meet the same tooth-and-nail opposition whether they aim to ban all abortions or, as recently seen in the U.S. Senate, attempt to require that infants born alive during an abortion receive medical care.”...--quoted at One Mad Mom
Well, then, I'll go all Goldwater:  Extremism in the defense of innocent life is a virtue.

And the (Jesuit-preferred) alternative?  Moderation in defense of innocent life is a VICE

I'm interested to know what the Jesuits teach the chilluns at Cristo Rey.  Aren't you?

Don't Be Fooled! "Combined Collection" in the Mail

If you're a Catholic in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, you may have gotten your "combined collections" notice from the Puzzle Palace on S. Lake Drive.

It will make great kindling for next winter's fireplace sessions.

Shoving money into the maw of the "Catholic" Campaign for Human Development, or the "Catholic" Communications campaign runs directly contrary to actual Catholic faith and practice.

Nothing wrong with sending money to the Diocese of Lincoln, or Kansas City, or Canton (OH) for tornado- or flood-relief, ya'know.  That will provide REAL "human development" and is ipso facto genuine Catholic Communication.

Chuck Canterbury: Another DC Weasel-Worm

President Trump, who has been fooled several times on various appointments (think AG Sessions, FEEB Wray, DoE DeVos, etc.), has been flim-flammed again on his appointment for BATFE.

Chuck Canterbury lies through his teeth about being a 'supporter' of the 2A.  Actually, Canterbury smells like a well-used 'supporter,' and the more you know, the worse he gets.

PDT:  start looking at ANYBODY but D.C. people going forward.  You'll look a lot smarter.

Enemies of the State: Power, Donilon, Rice, Clinton, Obama

Yes, indeed, as time goes on, we learn more and more which adds up to this:  Obama, Power, Donilon, Rice, and Clinton were acting to further the causes of Iran and ISIS in the Middle East.  That makes them enemies of the US.

Clinton and Obama toppled both the Libyan and Egyptian governments, loosing an invasion of Italy from Libya and a Muslim Brotherhood (read:  terrorist regime) on Egypt.

Meantime, Rice, Donilon, and Power were undermining Israel, the US press, and the Trump candidacy with thousands of "unmaskings"--which were the results of illegally-obtained electronic records of every citizen of the USA.

Say what you like about Israel and Italy:  both are pretty damned good allies of the US.  So was Egypt prior to Obama's action.  And Iran?  They're trouble, not so much because they are a threat to Israel (they are not, really) but because they are major sponsors of the Muslim invasion of Europe and of Muslim terrorism there and in the US.

We're not likely to see trials and incarcerations (or executions) of these traitors.  But it sure would be satisfying if it happened.

Anything To Destroy Walker/Foxconn JS Edition

Gee, if Rommel had any talent as a writer, he could be writing deceptions for the NYTimes or the WaPo.

As it is, his deceptions are clumsy, so he's stuck here.

Yes, Ricky-poo, Otis has a bunch of people working here in Wisconsin, full-time, year-round.  It's called a "branch."  The State of Wisconsin does not have a national elevator-installer headquartered here.

And yes, Ricky-poo, PSI Intertek has a bunch of people working here in Wisconsin, full-time, year-round.  That's also called a "branch."

Just like the "news"-paper you work for.  You are in a "branch."  My subscription money goes elsewhere.  Just be happy you get a piece of the pie, Ricky.

Fact? or Fiction? in Syrian "Attack"?

We're acquainted with the false-flag-fiction favored by the MSM on the conflict in Syria.

So today's story on Breitbart deserves VERY cynical attention.  The Permanent-War Party loves this stuff--and that's good enough reason to ignore it.

Madness: Ginsburg and Lady Macbeth

Justice Ginsburg displays her madness for all to read.  When one will not acknowledge What Is True, one is madOut of one's mind.

...liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg argued in an opinion released Tuesday that a pregnant woman is not a “mother.”...
That is directly akin to Lady Macbeth's "Out, damned spot!"  Macbeth was talking to a non-existent bloodstain which was caused by her own action; Ginsburg's madness is the reverse, asserting that a mother is NOT a mother.  One saw what was not there; the other will not see what IS there.

Ginsburg is hardly the only Federal hack-in-black to suffer delusions and madness, of course.  Trump has a long, long, way to go.

"...Nature and Nature's God....."

That appeal, found in the Declaration, is critical to the current turn of political fortunes away from the Ruling Class and towards the Country Class--as phrased by Angelo Codevilla back in 2010.  And as you might suspect, that "nature" word has significance.  But what you might NOT suspect is that the concept behind it is *cough* Catholic, not Lockean, nor Paine-ian, nor Aristotelian.

But that's OK, Protty pals:  we'll share.

This linked essay about all that was written by a full professor at Macalester College, a small-but-elite Midwestern (Twin Cities) school.  (I know this because a girlfriend attended the school, graduated, and picked up her MA from Brown later on.)  The essay may make 'Old Yeller Levin' apoplectic, as he is a serious anti-Catholic--but that doesn't change the truth of it.  Even more shocking to the conscience of the "Modern Project" people, it all began during the 'dark ages' (which were NOT dark).

Anyhow, here's the concluding graf:

...The idea of natural rights, then, was decidedly not a modern invention, but rather a medieval one. It was perpetuated and elaborated as Catholic jurists grappled with various crises and contingencies from the twelfth century onward. And, as with natural rights, so too with many of the other ideas and institutions that define American democracy. Whether the specific issue is consent of the governed, limited government, rule of law, constitutionalism, or even separation of church and state, the historic roots can be traced, not to the early modern era, but to the Middle Ages. Moreover, these roots were neither capitalist, nor liberal, nor secular. Rather, the origins of these ideas and institutions are to be found primarily in Roman law and in the canon law and theology of the Roman Catholic Church.
Right to life?  Right to property?  Right to self-defense?  Yup.  No matter the race, by the way....contra the white-ish theorizers with their IQ-test measuring sticks.

Of course, in fully-developed rights theory, there are corresponding obligations, such as the obligation to work, to support one's children, to be honest, to use sexual faculties as designed.....many of which are deliberately ignored by the "rights" bunch because, frankly, they prefer the anarchy of immorality, laziness, or pleasure.

Finally, one does not have to be Catholic to understand and embrace natural law/rights.  Clear-eyed, honest observation of 'what IS' is the only requirement.

But who likes that kinda stuff, eh?

Eric Holder, Criminal Spying Conspirator

Not that you should be surprised.

...In 2010 Eric Holder asked the IRS to send him the records of 501(c) non profit groups and individuals representing conservative voters. [LINK] Lois Lerner sent the DOJ 1.1 million pages of 501(c)(4) tax filing data. Including a very specific set of “33 Schedule B attachment files”. The Schedule B’s were specific to Large Conservative 501(c)(4) groups operating and organized to oppose the agenda of President Obama. The Schedule B’s include the donor lists of specific people and sub-groups attached to the 501(c)(4).
The IRS sent the FBI “21 disks constituting a 1.1 million page database of information from 501(c)(4) tax exempt organizations, to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.” The transaction occurred in October 2010 (link)
♦ In 2012 Eric Holder authorizes the use of government databases to search records of Americans and assemble “files” on potential targets. [Link] “The agency has new authority to keep data about innocent U.S. citizens for up to five years, and to analyze it for suspicious patterns of behavior.”
♦ In the period of 2012 through April 2016, According to FISA Judge Rosemary Collyer, there were tens of thousands of illegal (“non-compliant”) search queries of the NSA database targeting Americans.  The search results were unlawfully “extracted” to unknown entities.  Eighty-five out of every hundred searches were illegal (85% non-compliant rate)....
Now he runs around playing Good Guy and ginning up race-hate.

Nice.

Corps Said 'It Can't Be Done.' Wrong!!

"We Build the Wall" is a privately-funded project which is building a wall on the southern border.  The particular place on the YouTube linked here is near El Paso, TX.  It will cut off an estimated $100K/day of drug trafficking.

The Army Corps of Engineers told "We Build" that nobody could build a wall in that location.

So here's a question:  why IS there an Army Corps of Engineers?

Beware Cotton and Pompeo

Both those men--Cotton in the Senate, and Pompeo at DoD--are well-disguised Neo-Cons, and like their idiot brethren Sykes, Kristol, Boot (et. al.) the never-ending war is a good thing.

...the clever neoconservatives, such as Tom Cotton and Mike Pompeo, adopted the Brissot strategy. Continue the military crusade for universal ideals, continue to treat all non-democratic regimes with belligerence, continue to disparage the traditions of all other nations and cultures by asserting American moral superiority—but adopt and co-opt the language of Trumpian nationalism. Cotton and Pompeo are, after all, good Straussians, admirers of the late political theorist Leo Strauss. They understand that the masses live in dark ignorance and that smart philosophers can manipulate them into supporting universal ideals through the use of cant phrases like “Make America Great Again.”...
..........and to them, "making America great" will happen by "making every other country democratic republics."

They're dumber than Kristol.

Obama Was Spying on Us From 2012 On.....

The story of flagrant corruption and abuse during the Obama (and Clinton) era gets worse, not better.

And, as we all expected, they were using the NSA's database--the one that contains every single phone call, text, bank transaction, and email ever made by anyone in the US (and some other countries.)  Yes, that one:  the one Clapper lied about.

Anyhow, beginning around 2012, Obama and his cabal of festering pustules began their project, using the ever-compliant "St." James Comey and Clapper's agencies.  Database searches were pulled by civilian contractors.  These civilians were NOT authorized to know the results, but hey!  Obama didn't give a shit.

...Searching the highly classified NSA database is essentially a function of filling out search boxes to identify the user-initiated search parameter and get a return on the search result.

FISA-702(16) is a search of the system returning a U.S. person (“702”); and the “16” is a check box to initiate a search based on “To and From“. Example, if you put in a date and a phone number and check “16” as the search parameter the user will get the returns on everything “To and From” that identified phone number for the specific date. Calls, texts, contacts etc. Including results for the inbound and outbound contacts.

FISA-702(17) is a search of the system returning a U.S. person (702); and the “17” is a check box to initiate a search based on everything “About” the search qualifier. Example, if you put a date and a phone number and check “17” as the search parameter the user will get the returns of everything about that phone. Calls, texts, contacts, geolocation (or gps results), account information, user, service provider etc. As a result, 702(17) can actually be used to locate where the phone (and user) was located on a specific date or sequentially over a specific period of time which is simply a matter of changing the date parameters...
Can we call Comey a stinking disease-ridden WHORE yet?

How bad was it?

EIGHTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE INQUIRIES WERE ILLEGAL.

Eighty-five percent.

All of that comes from a report by a FISA Court judge, not from Republicans.

And the war continues.  The current FBI Whore-in-Chief, Wray, is fighting against un-classifying the Lying FBI's papers every.  single.  day.

Know anyone who knows Trump?  Your identity and all your bank records are now in the hands of Obama/Clinton operatives.  There's a very good reason for the Second Amendment, friends.  It protects the Fourth Amendment, too.

The Family That Bombs Together.......

...........will stay together.  In prison.

French police arrested a 24-year-old Algerian, his brother and THEIR MOTHER in connection to a bomb blast in Lyon on Friday...
Pope Francis immediately lectured the French police for 'building walls.'

Far More Than Football: Bart Starr

The last grafs of a brief obituary:

...Since 1989, the NFL has given the Bart Starr Award to the player who “best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field, and in the community.” Starr’s legacy extends off the field as well: he and his wife Cherry were also deeply involved with the activities of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation from the time of its inception in 1971.

In a 2009 interview, Starr looked back warmly on his time in Wisconsin. “But more important to me was to always cherish the great years we had here with the wonderful people of Green Bay, and all the wonderful people around here that enabled us to win five championships in seven years,” he said. In the end, Starr’s legacy both on and off the field is a powerful and lasting one....
His Rawhide Boys' Ranch is another lasting example of Starr's legacy in Wisconsin.

Around this time last year, I heard an interview of the 'other' founder of Rawhide--the man who had the idea, but none of the money.  There was lots of information in that hour or so, but Bart (and Cherry) gave the guy what he needed, and Rawhide has been a success ever since.

One thing stuck out from that interview, by the way:  his phone number was listed in Green Bay.  Anybody could call him.

Looking for a lesson in humble service?  Look to Bart Starr.

Charlie Sykes' Descent Into Madness

Charlie Sykes often referred to himself as "a recovering liberal."

Well, "recovery" is over with.  Now he's relapsed.

For a while, Charlie was a garden-variety NeverTrumper with the usual licit complaints:  Trump the womanizer, Trump the Democrat-contributor, Trump the Barnum.  But then Trump won, and Charlie went into a pout which turned into a permanent curdling.  He was no longer eligible for a White House slot, and when Ryan quite and took his baseball with him, Charlie faced a lonely, horrible, life in Milwaukee's North Shore suburbs.

He began his descent with a permanent gig at PMS-NBC.

It gets worse.

He's now catching fleas (or worse!) from Max Boot Military Historian and Foreign Policy Analyst, James Clapper Former Director of National Intelligence, Jeh Johnson Former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Norman Ornstein American Enterprise Institute Resident Scholar,
Leon Panetta Former Secretary of Defense, Former Director of the CIA, and Former White House Chief of Staff, and Rob Reiner Director, Actor, and Activist.

Yes, that's "The Clap" Clapper, perjurer extraordinaire, Max Boot, War-Monger (but only armchair for him, please), Panetta of the Clinton Gang of Thieves, Grifters, and Frauds, and a loutish, out-of-shape, Hairball from Hollywood.

The Cantina at Mos Eisley is a better place to hang out, Charlie.  Fair warning.

The Cost of Freedom

John Williams's Hymn accompanies the slide-show of American cemeteries in all the countries we have saved........so far.

Obozo Farce, PP. Francis Narrative

Here we have a fortuitous coincidence.  An Obozo Farce will be eliminated--and it highlights a Pp. Francis Narrative.

...In a news release, HHS observed that, with the passage of Obamacare in 2010, Congress directed the department to apply existing civil rights laws and regulations to health care, including Title IX, which pertains to discrimination “on the basis of sex.”

In 2016, however, the Obama administration redefined sex discrimination to include termination of pregnancy and gender identity, the latter of which it defined as one’s internal sense of being ‘male, female, neither, or a combination of male and female.’”...
Yah, see, today I'm a ham sandwich.  Tomorrow?  Chicken salad!!  And beginning June 1, I'm a female platypus.

Pope Francis worries that there is a 'radical individualism' afoot.  Yes, there is, and it prevails among those who defy or disobey the laws of Nature.  Gender-reassignment and abortion are direct assaults on Nature by the most 'radical' individualists.

On another front in the same war on Nature, HH Francis pushes the narrative of 'migrants good, patriots bad,'   Unfortunately for Francis, patriotism IS a constituent of the natural law.  Thus, Francis has it backwards; his criticism should be aimed at the tin-pot dictators, murderers, rapists, grifters, and warlords who "govern" the countries from which migrants emigrate.  As Cdl. Sarah observes, THEY are the ones who defy the laws of nature and create the conditions which impel emigration.

But then, 'Francis has it backwards' is ...........what it is.

"OMG!!! The National Security!!! OMG!!!"

York reminds us that there is no "National Security" when it is the property of known, active, liars.

...Now, there is another fight about declassification. Nunes himself has heard this all before. "Every time we have tried to get information on the Russia hoax, the Left as well as the media and their leakers claimed it would devastate national security," Nunes said in a text exchange. "Now we hear the same argument from the same reporters, leakers, and leftists, even though all their previous doomsday warnings proved false. These people simply use national security as a false justification to hide information that would reveal their abuses."...
The "national security" is never congruent with "my interests," no matter whose interests those may be.

The Better "Trump v. Democrat War" Theory

Z-man proposes a very fine alternative theory to the current phase of the Trump v. Democrat War.

...the Democrats are slowly inching toward impeachment, while Trump and his new consigliere are moving ahead with investigating the domestic spying scandal. Supposedly, Trump told Pelosi and Schumer he was done dealing with them until they dropped the investigations. This is probably just a lie fed to the willing media, as part of the war. Most likely, the offer to drop all of it was made by Schumer, but Trump rejected it, as he now has the better hand in this fight....
Makes a lot more sense that way, no?

Schumer and Alzheimo-Nan still use the press like a cheap whore (which is what it IS, after all) and expect that because The Press prints it, all the people will believe it.  After all, the people are just ignorant, smelly, clumps of cells, right?

Actually, that describes Schumer's and Pelosi's supporters very well.

The rest of us?  Not so much.

Flop-Sweats, Chapter 4

The cabal of Feebs, "Justice" officials, spooks, and assorted Obozo White House appointees are now in Chapter Four of Flop-Sweat--The Epic Coup Gone Wrong.

Heh.

...A former senior intelligence official who served in the Obama administration said their principle [sic] concern is that the attorney general, hand-picked by Trump, could declassify and release selective bits to make the previous administration and former senior officials look bad. The former official spoke on the condition that the official would not be named in order to describe the concerns of intelligence professionals....--quoted at Cold Fury

Maybe the Commie Brennan?  How about Susan Rice?  Or "The Clap"??  Comey?  Hot-Pants and Stroker??

Anyhow, the "previous administration" looks like a pile of San Francisco ......ahhh.........treats......without any 'selective bits' being released.  Smells the same, too.

Memorial Day at Chick-Fil-A

Powerline notes this display at their local Chick-Fil-A:

Patriotism honors the dead who defended the patria--the fatherland.  Patriotism is a virtue.

There are some who slander patriots as "nationalists", hoping to call to mind 'Nazi.

There is no truth in them.  Shun them.

It's Always "Control"

My Prot pals may or may not know of Fr. George Rutler, a parish priest in Manhattan.  Hell's Kitchen, to be exact.  Fr Rutler is--arguably--one of the most learned historians currently active in the US.  He shares that position with Victor D. Hansen, albeit they specialize in different areas.

Anyhow.

Writing on the Vatican's historic concessions to the Chinese Communists, Rutler gives us two gems.  First, a vignette on Chamberlain and Churchill:

...The appeasers who signed the Munich Agreement in 1938 do not enjoy a happy legacy, but then the thought of repeating the carnage of the Great War was unspeakable. In his first use of the term, back in 1911, Churchill described “une politique d’apaisement” as a wise strategy....

Yes, Churchill!

With that as prelude, Fr. Rutler then takes on the Red China agreement.  He certainly does not want to pre-judge the long-term outcome.  But he knows the score:

...The issue is not theology but control....

Look at the post immediately below this one.  Note the congruence?  It's control, not politics, not theology, not philosophy.  That's where J Edgar Hoover and Hillary (she of the FBI files) were coming from.  Substitute Comey, Brennan, and Obama--or FDR, Nixon, and Wilson.......

And it works.

Obama, Wilson, and Spying on The Press

Think it's just co-incidence that Obama, Nixon, and Wilson were singularly aggressive in their spying on the press?

Wacko-Bird or Cardinal?

Talk about swallowing the Kool-Ade!!

...In a dramatic message to the “scientific community” Friday, Cardinal Peter Turkson, the head of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, said that the world is undergoing a veritable “climate crisis, caused by man’s interference in nature.”

“The climate crisis is reaching unprecedented proportions. Therefore, the urgency could not be greater,” the cardinal said.

Warning that “we have only around a decade to limit this global warming,” Turkson said that the nations of the world must limit temperature increases to 1.5°C, which he called “a critical physical threshold, inasmuch as it would still enable the avoidance of many destructive impacts of climate changes caused by man.”...

Well, the Cardinal and AOC are on the same page.  In 10-12 years, it's all over.

+Turkson repeats every single lie, distortion, and exaggeration ever promulgated by the Climate Communists in his remarks (see the link.)  While there is a moral imperative requiring 'stewardship' of Earth, that imperative is largely encapsulated in the mantra "Waste not, want not."  Yes, that should be a Catholic watchword.

The Cardinal has--like Francis--made unforced errors in chatting about Catholic moral issues before, and those were about matters on which he should be very knowledgeable.  We find it unlikely that he has been given infused knowledge allowing him to yap about climate science.  Sloganeering, such as what he did here, does not lend credibility to either the Cardinal nor the Church.  For example, asserting that 'man interferes with Nature' without any further definition of those terms is irresponsible at best.  One hopes that the Cardinal can do better than that.

"Conserve.  Do not waste.  Pray.  If you prefer, pray first, then conserve."  That's a Churchman's best message.    Preach that, Eminence!!

Need an update on the Green Communist Manifesto bunch who have succeeded in making fools out of senior Churchmen (Catholic AND Protty)??  Go here.

St Josaphat's Coming Demise

Over the last 30 years or so, the Franciscans staffing St Josaphat Basilica have carefully refurbished the church--including 'refurbishing' its music program with an excellent musician as director, a darn good choir, and a program which consisted of good music.

No more.

The parish is now advertising for a music director (with PIANO skills), has fired its paid chorus members, and the school principal and business manager have also been schmeissed.

Not likely to be worth the trip any more.

Food for Thought

Raconteur publishes, I steal.

Flop-Sweats in Alabama!!!

This ought to bring them to their knees in fear and shame.

...LA County officials are also sending a letter to Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey and Legislative leaders calling for the measure’s immediate repeal. Similar letters will be sent to officials in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, and Utah, all states considering their own restrictive abortion laws....
L A County officials, eh?

Can anyone name one of them?

Bueller??  Bueller??

Just a LITTLE Regulation, You See.....

Cadged directly from The Gorilla at AOSHQ.

Look, we're not coming after your abortion. All we want is some common sense abortion control. Like a one-year waiting period. And an exhaustive background check with mental health evaluation. Also, the purchase of a $200 tax stamp should be required. That's only fair. And doctors who do abortions should be licensed by the federal government, also with exhaustive background and mental health checks, and in addition they should have to pay a whopping big annual license fee. And the names of all abortionists and their patients should go into a national registry. But that's nothing anybody has to worry about. Rest assured, we would not presume to deny anyone the constitutional right to abortion. If you want your abortions, you can keep your abortions."

Oh, one more thing:  if anybody complains about the doctor--anonymously or not--that doctor will have his license revoked and his office and home will be searched immediately.  ANY "doctoring" tools found will be confiscated by the authorities until the doctor can prove that he is innocent.

That is all.

Catholics and Movies: Full Reverse

At one time, Catholics were told to shun movies which favorably depicted immoral activity.  Rating Hollywood's output was done by an outfit called the Legion of Decency, and those ratings had a significant impact on movie revenues.

That was then.

Now, certain "Catholics" organize viewing of on-screen homosexual activity.  You won't be surprised to learn that this is in the Chicago of Cdl. Bernardin and Cdl. Cupich, and you won't be surprised to learn that the Cathedral bulletin carried the announcement.

(This brings to mind the banishment of Fr. Phillips from St John Cantius.  +Cupich hung him out to dry with some vague language about "improper conduct", but neither criminal nor civil action(s) were filed, nor was Phillips removed from the priesthood.  In fact, +Cupich specifically denied that there was "illegal" or "immoral" activity here.  Very strange, indeed.)

It also calls to mind the death of the Legion of Decency and its successor.  That successor was a part of the Catholic Bishops' Conference, but by 2005 that office lost credibility.  You may be interested to know that the Presidents of the Bishops' Conference (USCCB) during the death-throes of the ratings system included +Bernardin, +Quinn (San Fran) and +Roach (MSP).  The coffin was nailed shut following the term of +Fiorenza, whose successor was +Gregory, now in D.C.

You may draw your own conclusions.........

California Returning to Horse/Buggy

This should be interesting to watch.  Also a bonanza for property-owners in 49 other States!

...Speaking at an air-quality workshop in San Diego, Mary Nichols, chair of the California Air Resources Board, was expected to toss in the idea of killing off gas-powered cars based on her prepared remarks. They called for her to list ways in which the state can get tougher on pollution....

... “That might mean, for example, tougher requirements for low-carbon fuels, looking at tighter health-protective regulations on California refineries, doubling down on our enforcement efforts on mobile and stationary sources — and might lead to an outright ban on internal-combustion engines,”...
The land of the Little Deuce Coupe retroverts to the Land of the Covered Wagon.  If it happens, owning property anyplace ELSE in the USA will be a blessing; about 39.5 million people will be getting the Hell outta there.

GM Follows Boeing 737Max Plan

It's not a surprise that GM does really, really, stupid things.  What IS a surprise is that shareholders don't revolt, complete with pitchforks and rope.

General Motors faces pushback over its request that U.S. regulators waive some automobile safety standards to make it possible to deploy a ride-sharing fleet of driverless cars without steering wheels or other human controls.

GM first made the request for a two-year temporary waiver on features like mirrors, dashboard warning lights and turn signals designed for a human driver in a petition filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in January 2018....

Sure.  Let's remember that the 737Max airplane was also a "self-driver," with human over-ride blocked.

Patriots Are "Stupid," Says EU President

Juncker's reputation for imbibing rivals Hillary's, which is good because in vino, veritas.

And he spake his own veritas:

“These populist, nationalists, stupid nationalists, they are in love with their own countries,” Juncker told CNN, as if that was a bad thing.
That happens to be exactly the attitude of the entire US State Department and well over half of the DC/NYC/LA/ShitFransisco crowd, too.

Big Spending Republicans, Again

Well, well, well.  The Republicans are back to the Tommy Thompson "Spend It All!!!" days.

Republicans who control the state Legislature want to provide Wisconsin schools a $500 million increase in funding — about a third of the spending bump Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has proposed. ...Funding for those increases would come from a mix of increased state aid and higher property taxes. ...

Maybe they think that the Democrats and teachers' unions will praise them.

Fools.

Man to Watch: Josh Hawley

Pinkerton took note of Sen. Josh Hawley's (R) 'maiden speech'.

Almost as though the guy compared notes with Tucker Carlson--although Pinkerton runs a comparison with Teddy Roosevelt.

No, Hawley didn't ride a horse up a hill in Cuba........but who knows?  Might happen!!

Gun Grabber Names

Some may not know these facts.  But you should know them.

...The two most vehemently anti-RKBA SCOTUS justices, Warren Burger and John Paul Stevens, were appointed by Republicans, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. Who created the BATF in 1972 then told journalists there was no anti-gun law he wouldn’t support and how he regarded the private ownership of firearms as an “abomination”? Republican Richard Nixon.

Who signed the Mulford Act in 1967 banning the open carry of loaded firearms in California, endorsed the Brady Bill in 1991 then wrote members of Congress in 1994 urging them to vote for Bill Clinton’s “assault weapon” ban? Republican NRA Life Member Ronald Reagan.

Who voted for GCA-68 when he was a member of Congress, signed an executive order in 1989 banning the importation of many superb semiauto firearms then appointed anti-RKBA liberal David Souter to SCOTUS? Republican NRA Life Member George H.W. Bush.

Who supported the same anti-gun laws as Al Gore and John Kerry and, like Barack Obama, wanted to make Bill Clinton’s “assault weapon” ban a permanent statute in 2004? NRA-endorsed Republican George W. Bush.

Who signed Massachusetts’ “assault weapon” ban into law then touted his zeal for strict gun control? Republican Mitt Romney, NRA’s choice for president in 2012.

Who wrote a book, The America We Deserve, in which he wanted to make it harder for everyone to purchase a firearm, supported “assault weapon” bans, and criticized Republicans who “walk the NRA line?” Who contributed a fortune to liberal anti-gun Democrats, joined with Hillary Clinton in wanting to forbid Americans from being “allowed” to purchase a firearm without any due process of law then directed BATFE officials (without a shred of legal authority) to misconstrue the definition of automatic firearm under NFA-34 to ban “bump stocks”? Republican Donald Trump, NRA’s choice for president in 2016....--quoted at Captain's place

Go to the link to find out that the NRA is another (but closeted) gun-grab outfit.

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

Trump = Man, Schumer = Mouse = Pelosi

About damn time someone kicked ass.  It certainly won't be McYertle (and never was Ryno.)

...According to the Number 2 Democrat in the US Senate, Dick Durbin, the president walked into the room with Pelosi and Schumer, blasted them, cancelled the meeting on the spot and walked out!...
Look for a large release of un-redacted Spygate docs in the next week or so.

Hey, Reeves: Some Courts NEED Defying!

Another Federal Jackass-in-Black squeals about the Deplorables.

...U.S. district judge Carlton Reeves heard oral arguments in the case Tuesday, CNN reports, during which he expressed indignation that the state would dare pursue a stronger pro-life law within months of him blocking the milder 15-week ban.

“Doesn’t it boil down to six is less than 15?” he asked, complaining that the heartbeat law “smacks of defiance to this court.” He characterized the legislature’s thinking as “we can’t do 15 weeks so by God we will do six weeks” and derisively suggested it might follow up with abortion bans starting at two or four weeks....

Keep defying the voters, jackwad.

The Damn Fools Are Going to Impeach!

Sultan Knish:

...Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Dem House leadership have tried everything possible to stop the talk of impeachment. But nothing that she and her deputies can do has made a dent in the madness.

In a sign of pure desperation, Pelosi has begun insisting that impeachment is a Trump conspiracy.

“Trump is goading us to impeach him," she actually claimed.

The Dem House leader is hoping to dissuade her faction from its self-destructive orgy of Trump hatred by tapping into that hatred to convince them that impeaching Trump is exactly what he wants.

And it won’t work....

He goes on to show that the Large Money areas (NY and CA) are solidly in favor of impeachment--and also that only a small minority of DEMOCRATS support that move.

The Raconteur thinks that there will be a spark dropped into the pool of gasoline.  Hm mmmmmmm.

Orban's US Opposition

Interesting little side-note here.

...U.S. Sens. Jim Risch (R-Idaho) and Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, along with Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), senior members of the committee, today sent a letter to President Trump to express their concern over Hungary's downward democratic trajectory and the implications for U.S. interests in Central Europe....

Well, that's pretty grim!  "Downward democratic trajectory"......."US interests implicated......."  You can smell the "H-name" just waiting to spring from the lips of "Lolita Express" Menendez and the stubby guy from Florida, can't  you?

Here's another look at that horrible, awful, democracy-degrader, virtually "H"-name Orban:

...Standing firm in its position despite fierce opposition from the socialist left, the Orbán government enacted legislation resulting in “a comprehensive family-support system, a family-friendly tax system, a housing program, 800,000 new jobs, and many opportunities to create a balance between life and work”, Ms. Novak stated....  Voice of Europe.com quoted at Vox
Huh.  Family support systems, family-friendly tax systems, housing, work-life balance.........Just what Wall Street does NOT need, as voiced by "Lolita Express", Shaheen, Risch, and Rubio.

Somehow, I think Orban is going the right direction.

Is Ron Johnson Following Fauxcahontas?

Althouse notes the following:

...Warren, as you might have noticed, has come out in favor of what isn't a new idea but simply a seemingly newly urgent idea: protect the right to abortion with a federal statute. The idea is that it won't matter if the Supreme Court overrules Roe v. Wade if there's a federal statutory right. So, Congress, just pass that statute, if you can, and as long as there's no successful constitutional challenge to the new statute, there will be a right to have an abortion... subject to repeal by Congress....

Senator RoJo also supports Fed Leg allowing abortion.

Both of them are wrong, of course, but you can smell RoJo's desperation to retain the votes of the Bluehaired BawbwaBushBabes in the 'Burbs.

And it's desperation when you're mouthing Liz Warren wishes.

Follow the Money re: Amash

Justin Amash has been a gadfly-twit "Republican" for years.

Yesterday he announced that Trump 'committed impeachable offenses.'  Well, that would be a yawner--knowing Amash--but it's not really the whole story.

Turns out that Amash has a major DOLLAR interest in a Chinese manufacturer.

Hmmmmmm.  Which President is going to impose tariffs on goods made in China?  S'pose such a tariff will impact Amash's income?

Maybe Amash thinks Trump is really a bad President.

But maybe it's just "follow the money."

*Cough* Told You So!!

Maybe it's news to the gullible, but it's not news to me or my readers.

Pope Francis did not recently shut down the possibility of a female diaconate, contrary to popular belief, according to a top Vatican media official.

Fr. Bernd Hagenkord, S.J., the “chief of service” coordinating all six language sections of Vatican News, published an article on what Pope Francis really said during his May 10 meeting with the International Union of Superiors General (IUSG). Fr. Hagenkord corrected the impression that the pope told an inquiring religious sister about the possibility to found her own church, also making it clear that Pope Francis has not ruled out the ordination of women as deacons....
It's been established that Pp. Francis is a Peronist; he is willing and able to talk from both sides of his mouth.  It's also established that he will NEVER clarify his ambiguity.

So yah, he'd approve female "deacons."  But he needs another couple of crumbs before he "develops" Revelation.

Self-Driving Tech Goes to the Track!

You've heard of the 'self-driving' car, right?  (That's the car version of the 'self-driving' Boeing 737 Max, friends.   You've been warned....)

Anyhow.

"Self-driving" is now at the racetrack!

War of Will bounced back from a bumpy ride in the Kentucky Derby to win the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, holding off a field that included a riderless horse...

You read it here first.

Oh, Good. FEEBS "Help" Facebook!

Given what we know about the FBI and Facebook, this is not reassuring at all.

...The Daily Mail reports that in a recent interview with CBS This Morning, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg revealed that the social media giant is working with the FBI and Homeland Security ahead of the 2020 U.S. election cycle. According to Sandberg, Facebook has “war rooms in place'”and “a working relationship with the FBI and homeland security,” aimed at combating any attempts to interfere with the elections....
Maybe the Russkis will drop another $100 grand or so in advertisements?

For whom?

What Happened to "Church Music"?

Tripped across this wonderful line.....

...My budding interest in philosophy was captivated when I saw a shelf labeled “metaphysics.” Eagerly hoping to find a deep work by some great thinker, I was disappointed to discover that the books were all of the New Age variety. I was expecting being and essence; I instead got crystals and energy flow....
I doubt that Esolen could have written a better epitaph for "church music" since 1963 or so.

(No, I don't want to get into the 'sacred music'/hymnody discussion today.)

RoJo: Which of YOUR Children Would You Abort?

And here we have the bright line....

U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson said Saturday he opposes Alabama's new law aimed at eliminating almost all abortions and wasn't ready to get behind legislation that would ban the practice after six weeks.

Instead, the Republican from Oshkosh said he would like to impose a national ban on abortion after 20 weeks using federal legislation similar to laws in Wisconsin and some other states....
RoJo can't (won't??) quite admit that Roe was a horrible decision on the merits, so he wants to Federalize a law, and Federalize it for about 20 weeks after it's a baby.  In reality, Roe is likely to go away soon, and the several States will enact their own laws.

So, Ron, which of YOUR children would you abort because they only got to 19 weeks?  Hmmmm?

The "bright line" here is between the country-club Pubbies and actual Conservatives.  Not hard to tell which side of that line RoJo falls on, eh?

What REALLY Happened to Grumpy Cat?

You thought Grumpy Cat died from some feline disorder.

Wrong.

Taylor Marshall Misses a Big Point

Much as I enjoy this guy's intertube-chats, I have to question whether he keeps up with the news.

...If you condemn Francis as “heretical pope” one must break communion with him. This is why I called the doc “practically sedevacantist”. It’s not formally sede but the natural conclusion is...
First off, according to one of its authors, the 'heresy letter' did not "condemn" Francis; it asked Bishops to force a clarification of Francis' ambiguous writings, which writings COULD be heretical.  Here is the pertinent citation:

...I would like to distinguish between the accusation of heresy, and the formal declaration of someone being a heretic by the competent authority: the accusation of being a heretic is one thing, the sentence that formally declares him such is another, and that it is not up to us to issue, but precisely to the bishops to whom we have addressed the open letter....

Obviously, the INTENTION of the writers is not "sede," thus it is not a "natural conclusion" to go there.  (Yes, SSPX is beating a certain drum.  So what?)

Keep your powder dry, Taylor.  The fat lady hasn't even warmed up.

Patriots Follow Natural Law, Pp. Francis!

There's plenty of nasty rhetoric being thrown at "nationalists" these days.  But "nationalist" is another word for "patriot."  And patriotism is a positive element of the natural law.

It is....interesting.....that both Pp. Francis and the worldwide Deep State oppose this natural law (as does the Grand Orient and most of the Democrat Party).  At the same time, citizens in the West are rejecting "global governance", following the lead of none other than Donald Trump and Steve Bannon.

Speaking in Rome, Cdl. Burke addressed the question.

...there are those who propose and work for a single global government, that is, for the elimination of individual national governments, so that all of humanity would be under the control of a single political authority. For those who are convinced that the only way to achieve the common good is the concentration of all government in a single authority, loyalty to one’s homeland or patriotism has become an evil," he said.

"The divine authority, in accord with the order written upon the human heart, does not make just and legitimate a single global government. In fact, the divine law illumines our minds and hearts to see that such a government would be, by definition, totalitarian, assuming the divine authority over the governance of the world," he added.

The Cardinal said that the "sinful pride which inspires the pursuit of a single global government has been likened to the pride of our ancient ancestors, after the Deluge, who thought that they could unite heaven with earth by their forces alone, building the Tower of Babel.”

“On the contrary, God meets us and orders our lives for the good in the family and in the homeland.
It is remarkable that Donald Trump has become a leader of a worldwide revival of patriotism; since his election, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Brazil have followed, and England is in a national brawl over "Brexit."  Macron of France is fighting to retain his office, and Merkel of Germany decided to quit.

Even MORE remarkable is that Donald Trump is the single most pro-life President this country has ever had.  That raises the question:   Does Trump understand Natural Law better than Pope Francis?

Depressed? Take a Pill, Shoot Everybody!!

Not the first time this has been on the intertubes.

...Regardless if depression is overdiagnosed and America has a habit of over-prescribing mind-altering medications, there’s little doubt that SSRIs have a risk of increasing violence in patients, even in patients who have no previous history of violence or aggression before taking the medication.

This risk of violent behavior, both to the individual taking the medication and those around them, is so significant, it has led to the FDA mandating a black box warning on all SSRI medications. These black box warnings are designed to provide information and draw attention to the fact that the medication has serious and life-threatening risks.

As of 2004, all antidepressants in the U.S. are labeled:

“Anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia, hypomania, and mania have been reported in adult and pediatric patients being treated with antidepressants for major depressive disorder as well as for indications, both psychiatric and nonpsychiatric.”...
That leads to the question:  is it the gun, or is it the shooter's shrink??

Roll, Tide!

From AOSHQ

Wiggy Goes Wigged-Out

James Wigderson, the successor to Charlie Sykes at RightWisconsin.com, has a very interesting bass-ackwards take on recent Wisconsin elections.

It is true that Leah Vukmir, Scott Walker, and Judge Screnock lost due to .........lotsa......problems, not the least of which was "consultants" who probably cannot spell "cheese."

At the same time, however, Wiggy's NEVERTRUMPNEVERTRUMPNEVERTRUMP (get the drift?) bias shows.

...Judge Michael Screnock’s race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court ran into anti-Trump sentiment and didn’t have an effective media campaign. Former state Sen. Leah Vukmir had to fight an awful primary and ran an awful campaign at the same time. Gov. Scott Walker was defeated by complacency and one too many campaigns, not to mention the damage done (by Trump, too) during the 2016 campaign for president....

Odd.  Didn't Donald Trump WIN Wisconsin, James?  Are you in an alternate universe?

Your solicitude for "suburban Republican women" who dislike Trump is admirable.  However, the most recent SCOWI race did NOT depend on "suburban Republican women."  Instead, the race was won in Northern and Central Wisconsin, where Christians and Reagan Republicans are dominant.

There remains a fundamental error in Wiggy's analysis:  he confuses "conservative" with "Republican."  This leads to another fundamental flaw:  ignoring or dissing Christians, who are far more resentful of New York/San Fran crap than are the Planned Parenthood-Koch Brothers and their Pubbie athletic-club/Yale-club pals.  Short version:  religion DOES count and you ignore it at your peril.

Have a nice convention, Wiggy!!  Say hello to Candace Owens for me!!  I know that you deliberately distorted her position on Hitler, but that's looking like par for your course.  Disappointing, Jim.

Let's Bomb Bolton Instead!

Apparently John Bolton anointed himself the successor to John "Bombs!!" McCain.

Disagreements over assessing and responding to the recent intelligence — which includes a directive from Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that some American officials interpret as a threat to U.S. personnel in the Middle East — are also fraying alliances with foreign allies, according to multiple officials in the United States and Europe.  WaPo quoted at dcdirtylaundry
"Some ....interpret as a threat...."  Read for meaning, folks.  One leaker makes shit up.....

War, war, more war, and by God, we'll MAKE those Ay-rabs learn DEMOCRACY!!

I understand that Islam is a threat to the West (and to Red China, and Russia.)  But the stupid "...fight them there before we have to fight them here" line works on children, not adults.  You seriously expect Iran to send an invasion army?

Oh, yes, they've begun an invasion of Europe and the US--but that's only because Establishment Moneyed Interests--and Democrats--have sabotaged immigration law AND immigration enforcement.

Yah, well.

Back to Bolton:  here's a taste of American opinion (not Establishment opinion, not NeoCon opinion....) voiced at The Onion:

John Bolton: ‘An Attack On Two Saudi Oil Tankers Is An Attack On All Americans

Hey, John:  STFU.

The Parody-Girl Speaks!!

Down the historical road, this woman's remarks will be in the Hall of Comedy Fame.

Here she attempts to make another 'devastating' argument.  Bzzzzzzzt!  Category Error!!

...US religious fundamentalists are working hard to outlaw sex that falls outside their theology....--quoted at Breitbart

Here's the correct formulation--the one she will never voice nor understand:

US religious fundamentalists are working hard to outlaw sex that falls outside NATURAL LAW

How much did Boston U. steal from this woman before awarding her a "degree"?

Thinking Man's Immigration Plan From Trump!!

Lotsa points in Trump's proposal, but the highlights are great!

...The president spoke about the proposal during a speech from the Rose Garden at the White House. Trump stressed that the plan was not a plan developed by politicians, but by border enforcement professionals.

“Our proposal is pro-America, pro-immigrant, and pro-worker,” he said. “It’s just common sense.”...

He got me at "pro-America."  The Chamber of Commerce and Democrats disagree.

Emily Has ONE Skill

Ratajkowski apparently has one skill.

Posting a nude photo of herself to Twitter

Take off clothes, run mouth.  Sheesh.

Barbara Bush Republican, Kevin McCarthy

Most people know that Barbara Bush, George HW's wife and GW's mother, was strongly pro-abortion.  She was the very picture of the 'country club Republican' establishment on the matter.  So it comes as no surprise that there are lots more Republicans where she came from.

...[Kevin] McCarthy [House Minority Leader] also stated that he has believed in three exceptions to abortion, which include “rape, incest, and life of the mother.”

He added, “That’s exactly what Republicans have voted on in this House. That’s what our platform says.”

McCarthy also claimed that he believes many of his Republican colleagues stand in agreement with him....
In other words, some babies are more equal than others.  Maybe McCarthy should think about that again.

Ace Assumes on Brennan and Comey.

Ace of Ace of Spades makes an assumption here:

So Obama picked an FBI head and a CIA chief who were both former communists.

The red-highlight (snerk) shows his assumption.

Remember that old thing about "Ass of U and Me"?

Medjugorje Dreamin'

We find this in our mailbox:

...If Mother Teresa were alive now, she would have been the first in line to visit Medjugorje and Pope John Paul II would have undoubtedly joined her. As he said to one of the visionaries of Medjugorje, Mirjana Dragicevic: “If I weren’t pope, I would be in Medjugorje to confess.”

Is this pastoral change Francis’s way of signaling that, after the approval of organized pilgrimage for pastoral benefits “aimed at encouraging and promoting the fruits of good,” as the announcement specified, and the good of the faithful, the approval of the private Medjugorje revelations will follow? Probably.

Pope Francis is using the argument of “pastoral benefit,” pastoral having more weight than doctrinal in Francis’s pontificate, to give credence to Medjugorje’s private revelation. Through the latest announcement, the Medjugorje phenomenon is, therefore, gaining some degree of authentication....

As the author admits, it is impossible for the Church to grant formal "authentication" of Medjugorje because the "apparitions" continue on a daily basis.

There's no question that prayer and fasting for the sake of the Church and our salvation is good.  But we didn't need Medjugorje to tell us that.

Nothing is impossible, of course; but some things are extremely unlikely.

Panda Border Patrol!

The Pandas are going to patrol the border.  At least grannies and children in airports will be safe from security-theater assaults.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is planning to send hundreds of employees to the southern border to assist in managing the large influx of Central American migrants entering the U.S., according to an email CNN obtained....

The coyotes are quaking in their boots, I'm sure.

Old Slow-'Handsy'-Joe Confusion

One wonders if Biden actually knows what he says.

Former Vice President Joe Biden admitted that the “Second Amendment exists” but stressed during his speech in New Hampshire on Tuesday that it does not say everyone is “entitled” to own a gun...

He still thinks that Gummint "allows" citizens to have guns.

Yes, he's that stupid.

Surprise!! Koch Brothers Hate Tariffs

Just in case you couldn't tell from Jay Weber's (WISN-AM) screeds, the Koch Brothers hate tariffs--and they let Jay read from their prepared scripts every day!

...In the wake of the latest round of tariffs, the Koch brothers’ organizations like the Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and the Libre Initiative demand that the Trump administration carry out an agenda focused on free trade, as the Bush and Obama administrations did....
Well, Bush swallowed the Globaloney every day for breakfast, and Obozo hated the USA.  So?

..."Rather than continuing to push a strategy where both sides clearly lose, the U.S. should seek the elimination of all tariffs, quotas, and trade barriers that adversely affect Americans."...

Sure, boys.  Except that we are in the real world, dealing with liars, cheaters, and frauds like the Chinese Communists.  (Let me help you understand:  "Liars, cheaters, and frauds", like CongressmenDo you trust them, too?)

Good talk, boys.  Go sell more Fort Howard toilet paper!!

Biologist Buttigieg?

Hmmmm.  All this time, I thought Pete Buttplug was just a small-town mayor.  Who knew that he holds Biology credits?

The Alabama legislature is ignoring science
Sure.  We all know that the product of human conception is really a Buick, or maybe an iguana.

Illegal Arrested. MSM Faints.

Long story short, a couple of illegals were arrested in Chicago.  But it takes a while for the fainting-couch reporter to get around to the story.

Instead, it starts with a mommy and her little one, driving to school.  She's DACA, husband's Armed Forces, she's applied for citizenship.

But her parents?  That's a different story.

...The asylum petition was denied and ICE issued a removal order in 2009 but never enforced it, said Hincapie´s attorney, Christopher Elmore.... When the officers arrived at her home, they arrested her father, Carlos Rendón, as he was leaving for work. Hincapie said they pushed him toward the car and, after checking him, ordered him to open the home’s door.

Inside they found her cousin and her mother, Betty Rendón, who was preparing breakfast in her pajamas...
Betty Rendon, illegally in the country, is pictured with her Lutheran-pastor-collar.

Here's the kicker:

..Christine Neumann-Ortiz, executive director of the Milwaukee immigrant rights group Voces de la Frontera, said during a news conference outside ICE's Chicago office that the arrest of Hincapie and her family is an example of the Trump administration's intention to separate immigrant families....

Neumann-Ortiz has two tricks in her very old and tired bag:  1)  March around in circles, shouting; and 2)  claim that Trump separates families.

Yes, he does, Christine.  He separates the criminals from the innocent, just like any court in this country does every single day.

Get used to it.  And while you're at it, find another trick to yammer about.  You're tiresome.

Mitt, the Unctious Jerk

Mitt's Daddy couldn't keep AMC running.  Mitt couldn't keep up the appearance of 'conservative.'

On Tuesday, the Senate voted to confirm Michael J. Truncale of Texas as the United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas by a vote of 49-46.
The vote was mostly along party lines in the upper chamber, with Sens. Cassidy, R-La., Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Hirono, D-Hawaii, Kennedy, R-La., Rounds, R-S.D., not voting; there was, however, one party defection, as Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, voted with Democrats against the nominee....CR quoted at American Catholic
How long we will be afflicted with this oozing carbuncle Romney?

LtGov Barnes' Limo Service, Your Tax Dollars

If you believe what the State Police say about "security", then Lt Gov Mandela Barnes is under serious threats against his life while in the State Capitol.

Sure.

More likely:  Barnes likes being driven around in a big, black, Suburban, with big muscular escorts using lapel-microphones, just like tin-pot dictators in Central America.

Either way, you pay a LOT for Lt Gov Barnes.  At the rate he's going, we'll pay $220,000 to guard him at church (another security risk!!), at home, and in the Capitol during 2019.  That does NOT include the expense of the Suburban itself.

His predecessor's protection cost $8,500 for all of 2018.

Yertle Wrong (Again)

Old Tesla? Better Buy a Backup Chevy

Gee, if my *shocked* face hadn't already worn out, you'd see it here.

Stories of Teslas "bricking" - a term for simply freezing up and becoming usable - have been far more ubiquitous then anyone would expect for a disruptive car company that's manufacturing "the car of the future". While the transition to a software-based car is a step in the right direction in terms of things like over-the-air updates, unavailable on many internal combustion engine cars, the software can also pose problems not seen on traditional ICE cars.
It doesn't take much looking to find these "bricking" complaints. For instance, we found several examples of owners complaining about "bricked" cars after a simple 30 second Google search (see here, here and here, for starters).

Now, the culprit for many of these "bricked" cars may have been identified: one simple chip in older Teslas increasingly drifting out of warranty, called the eMMC chip....
OK, so take it to a Tesla shop (not near you, no matter what) and get it replaced.

Not so fast, turkey.....

The issue with this chip first surfaced in a report by Roadshow  after a video detailing issue was uploaded to YouTube. The video (below) points out that when the eMMC fails, Tesla customers outside of warranty are simply out of luck. Why? Tesla doesn’t stock the part and won’t service it.
BWAHAHAHAHAHABWAHAHAHAH

Paul Ryan's Real Home

Early on in this blog's existence, we were somewhat enthusiastic over Paul Ryan, largely because 1)  he was not a (D)-brand, and 2)  because Ryan kept talking about bringing Fiscal Sanity to D.C.

As the years and his rhetoric wore on, it became clear that Ryan was all hat and no cattle.  Not only did he NOT bring about Fiscal Sanity (not even a little bit); he continued to spend large on BabyKiller, Inc., and--more recently--blatantly opposed Trump's anti-invasion and pro-American-worker programs.

Well, it's rumored that Paul Ryan will be rewarded for his "Big Money First" policies.

...Thomas Donohue, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, is 80 years old. His board is pushing him to retire. The replacement they are looking at is former Congressman Paul Ryan. A perfect fit given the Chamber's agenda."...--quoted at AOSHQ
So maybe he's giving up his walled-in digs in Janesville?  If so, good riddance.

The GOP Establishment Really Sucks!

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin....

The state Republican Party fell so far behind financially in recent months that it missed payments to insurers and racked up nearly $600 a month in interest on a maxed-out credit card, according to a draft of an internal report.

The review, commissioned by U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson and other top Wisconsin Republicans, also determined the party outsourced too much of its routine work to consultants, some of whom made more than $500,000.

Some consultants “had few, if any, discernible job responsibilities or expectations of deliverables,” the report says....

Yup.  These are the consultants who lost every single State-wide race in 2018.  The same consultants who damn near lost the SCOWI race last month.

But they're "establishment," you understand.  They are Cognoscenti, the Wise Ones, Possessors of The Knowledge.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Pp. Francis Approves Medjugorje Fraud

This comes as no surprise whatsoever.

In a direct breach of a 2013 CDF decree, Pope Francis has decided to authorize pilgrimages to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, which can now be officially organized by dioceses and parishes without being restricted to a private capacity as before....

Well, compared to adultery-with-Communion.......umnnhhh........

But this is serious.

...The fruits of Medjugorie speak for themselves, which include a falling away from the sacraments, a departure from tradition, contempt for the priesthood, attendance at interfaith worship, entanglement in fake mysticism (sorcery), promiscuous behavior, and the illusion of unconditional mercy in spite of sin.

That is to say, Medjugorie is not Catholic but is a wing of the international New Age network that simply uses the name of Mary to bewitch the faithful with a new gospel. Medjugorie is all about advancing the Charismatic Movement, which is directly tied to the so-called renewal since Vatican Council II. It advocates one-world ecumenism and teaches that God works through other religions, which of course is heresy.

It was for reason that Bishop Andrea Gemma, the Vatican’s former top exorcist, described the Medjugorie visions as the "work of the devil."...
E. Michael Jones spilled several hundred barrels of ink on this "apparition" when it first came up, and concluded exactly what the local Bishops did:  it was a fake, but a big money-maker for the Franciscans.  There was no misunderstanding at CDF, and Bp. Gemma's words only make it far more serious than merely money-changing.

As to Francis?  See Mark 9:29.

Then pray.  Harder.
