The Silence of Wisconsin Republicans


There are quite a few Republican members of congress from Wisconsin:  Johnson, Sensenbrenner (when he's awake), Grothmann, Duffy, and some useless turkey from the Fox River Valley.

NOT ONE of them has emitted a presser, nor appeared on radio or TV, to demand immediate prosecution of Clapper, Comey, and Brennan.

NOT ONE.

Apparently, "That's not who they are," or some such girl-with-a-curl excuse.  Meantime, Sensenbrenner screeches platitudes about "Muh Constitution!!!" when Trump attempts to defend the country from foreign invasion.

They shouldn't be in the same room with this President--nor with any other American.

Lefties Line Up for SCOWI Slot

Some woman who worked in the Dane County DA's office intends to oppose MU prof Ed Fallone in the "Really Lefty" primary for Kelly's SCOWI slot in 2020.

They won't be the last ones; Kelly is in very serious danger of losing the seat because the SCOWI election will be held on Primary Day, when the clown-car-candidates for President will be winnowed a bit.

Given that a LOT of Democrats will be voting that day, the Left-O-Wacky Supreme Court candidates figure that whoever wins their primary cannot possibly lose.

Get the popcorn as this slugfest should be a helluvalotta fun to watch!


Monstrous Criminals Obama, Biden, Lynch, Et Al.....

It emerges that Obama and Biden were spying on everyone, but particularly American citizens connected with Trump in any way, shape, or fashion.  This was facilitated by the "702" section (which Sensenbrenner supported) of the anti-terrorist legislation.

The depth and breadth of the crimes here are far too large to encapsulate in a blog post. 

Suffice it to say that Obama, Biden, Lynch, and every single one of their Government associates should be put into prison for life.

Or shot at dawn.  You choose.

Pocan Fixes Reporting Error--Quietly.....

Apparently Mark Pocan realized this is serious.

A co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus filed an amended financial disclosure report Friday revealing in 2017 his service on the board of a dark money nonprofit group dedicated to helping his caucus achieve its legislative goals.

Rep. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin filed the amended report one day after The Daily Caller News Foundation revealed he had omitted from his original disclosure his position on the board of the Congressional Progressive Caucus Center (CPCC). Legal experts said Pocan could face civil and criminal penalties if he knowingly and willfully failed to disclose his position with the group from his financial disclosure....

Good boy, Marky-mark.   And to the dumb-f*** commenter on my first post regarding this:  learn how to read English.  Or drop dead.

Obama Judge in Canada. The Disease Spreads.....

A British Columbia (BC) Supreme Court judge has found the father of a 14-year-old girl claiming to be transgender guilty of “family violence” because he continued to refer to his daughter as “she.”

An order of protection issued by Justice Francesca Marzari states the father, known as “Clark,” is subject to arrest if he attempts to “persuade” his daughter, known as “Maxine,” to “abandon treatment for gender dysphoria,” to call her by her birth name, or to refer to her “as a girl or with female pronouns,” either “directly or to third parties.”
This sort of crap is exactly why the rule of positive law is about to disappear in favor of the rule of natural law.  The pretense of liceity cannot be maintained.

The only question is whether this will be a violent revolution.

Second City Cop reports.

When the man in the BMW got out to check the damage to his vehicle, police have said, the other driver pulled a weapon, announced a carjacking, demanded the man’s keys and shoved the man into the BMW, where he was able to retrieve his own gun from an area on the passenger side of the car and fatally shoot the man in the head.  --quoting The Trib
The shooter had a license to carry and will NOT be prosecuted.

Followup questions from SCC:

  • Did he get his gun back yet?
  • Did someone slip him a round to replace what he expended?
  • When is the parade?
Well, yah, a parade!  Chicago needs good news......

Yes, RoJo Opposes Trump's Trade Ideas......

One does not have to be a genius/slueth to know that Sen. Ron Johnson intensely dislikes Trump's trade ideas.

So when he co-authored a letter with Grassley (Senator Corn-a-Hole), there was a reason.

...Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson is owned by Tom Donohue and the U.S. CoC and is 100% opposed to President Trump on any trade reset that confronts the multinational interests of the CoC position.  Similarly, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is owned by Big AG.

What do they both have in common?…. Opposition to any America-First trade reset.
There are trillions at stake....

Yup.

...Senate Finance Chairman Grassley’s move last week [co-signed by Ron Johnson] was a shot across the bow, but generally only noticed by those who travel the deep weeds of corrupt DC leverage strategy.  Essentially, Grassley saying he won’t allow Trump to expose the deep state corruption unless Trump concedes to Wall Street’s demands on trade deals.

It only took a few days for the evidence of this leverage move to surface as Grassley, acting on behalf of his K-Street donor – U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue, writes an Op-ed stating if Trump doesn’t drop the Steel and Aluminum tariffs, then he can consider the USMCA “dead”.   An absolutely typical Decepticon move....
It's bad enough that we have to take Grassley's corncobs up our nethers.  But now he wants to write trade deals favoring Red China, too?

Rumor has it that Ron Johnson wants to be Wisconsin's governor.  But first--apparently--he wants to eliminate all Wisconsin's industry.

Not cool, Ron.


"Battery-Powered" Facts Are Ugly

Ticker is a font of interesting stuff.  Here he leads off with the facts about "C02" on car-batteries (they cause more emissions than diesel), but moves into something even more interesting.

...This assumes the batteries last 10 years.  The problem is that they probably won't except for some very-specific corner cases.

The reason is how batteries work.  They start to degrade chemically on the day they're made, and do so more-or-less linearly.  There's nothing you can do about that -- this happens even under ideal storage conditions.  In addition there's a "per-cycle" penalty too, because batteries operate through ion exchange across the electrolyte -- that is, the physical movement of ions between cathode and anode.....
Oh.

So those "utility-grade" batteries used to store sunshine- and wind- produced electricity.....how much will utility customers PAY for these marvels of short-term usefulness?

AOC's Tool of Economic Collapse

"Modern Monetary Theory" sounds.......ahh........modern, and really .........like..........intellectual!!

But like most of AOC's pet causes, it's a fraud.

...MMT proponents seem to believe that issuing money is, and will always remain, a state monopoly. But when one considers money, one looks at it first as a means of payment (which can be, and often is, organized by the state). And second, one looks at the value of this money. This second aspect (at least outside totalitarian communist states) can never be determined by the state. The value of money is, and has always been, determined by myriads of transactions, each taking place freely between two or more individuals. Thus, the supply of money can be controlled by the government, but its value cannot. This implies that money is a common good, and can never be a tool of the government.
In fact, of the three functions of money—means of payment, unit of account, and store of value—the only one that MMT proponents seem to consider is the means of payment, which the government guarantees by using brute force. This probably explains why previous examples of MMT—Venezuela, Zimbabwe, the Weimar Republic, Revolutionary France—have tended to lead to tyranny or economic collapse, or both.
Economic collapse follows because, in such a system, the unit of account function breaks down, leaving the population to resort to barter. But economic collapse also happens because the main damage is sustained by the store of value function, especially when it comes to international transactions. It’s as safe a bet as you can make that foreigners will not be very keen to stockpile the bank notes (or government debt) of a country openly embracing MMT.
As a result, any country implementing MMT will have to maintain a current account surplus at all times. Very likely, international trade with the country will tend to drift towards barter. Inside the MMT country, a black market in foreign bank notes, gold and diamonds will spring up almost immediately. And corruption will go through the roof, because when civil servants are in charge of awarding import permits, the first thing any importer has to buy is the civil servant....

Whether it's AOC of the CowFart, or any of the rest of the Government--including Republicans--we dare not trust them with "MMT."

And--just a reminder--THAT is why the 2A was invented.

DEA, Budget Dollars, and Opioids

Gee, who'dathunk?  Manipulating "overdose death" numbers?

"Controlled Prescription Drugs (CPDs) ... are still responsible for the most drug-involved overdose deaths and are the second most commonly abused substance in the United States."  --DEA, (which is looking for budget money!)
OK, then, I highlighted the worm-language for you.  Why is THAT language wormy?

...First, given the non-stop barrage of opioid crisis stories, most of which have been dead wrong, many people will automatically assume that "controlled prescription drugs" refers to prescription opioids. It does not. Other classes of drugs are also controlled and they are lumped together with opioids:...
The killer drugs are fentanyl and heroin, which together account for THREE TIMES the deaths related to prescription opioids (~45,000/year vs. ~15,000/year.)   You don't get scrips for heroin and fentanyl from your friendly local doctor.

In fact, legitimate opioid scrips have gone down every year since 2012.

...The harder it becomes to get pills, the more people flock to heroin and fentanyl. No matter how the DEA plays funny statistics games, combines drugs into groups that make no sense, or buries inconvenient captions in tiny print under graphs, we are left with 164 pages of sleight-of-hand and spin. ....  
So yah, if you're in pain, tough patooties.  Offer it up, or something--and if the 'something' is carfentanyl or horse, you can help DEA get more budget money!!  Makes you proud, eh?

Vati-Twits Pimping Globo-Gummint

This sort of foodaddle is right in Pp. Francis' zone.

Nope, Pope.  The operative CATHOLIC term is "subsidiarity," which would be familiar to you if you ever actually read the documents produced by your predecessors.  (You can get a Spanish translation, since you clearly don't understand Latin.)

And for the record, Holiness, I for one will continue to reject communism, atheism, materialism, gnosticism, and the other heresies promulgated, endorsed, and loved by the Globo-Weenies who you have writing these stupid screeds.

That will be an "enduring conflict", pal.


"Tariffs Hurt Americans"? Not!!

Gee, those tariffs--which raised the price of a dryer by $50.00--are really killing Americans.

...Trump recounted the conversation with Abe, “I said listen, we gotta do something. $68 billion in trade losses over the last four or five years, a year. So we’re renegotiating and I think he’ll be fair. I think he’ll be fair.” 

“By the way, he started by saying he’s putting $40 billion into the United States for new car factories,” President Trump said, summarizing Abe’s commitment. “Toyota is coming in with $14 billion dollars. Many, many companies are coming in. And they’re coming in, frankly, to Michigan. They’re coming back, they want to be back, to Ohio, to Pennsylvania, to North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and what’s the name of this special place – it’s called Wisconsin.” 

“So they’ll be investing shortly and it’s started already, $40 billion with a b, $40 billion dollars, and it’ll be a lot more than that,” Trump said....

Yah, it's really awful what those tariffs do, eh?

By the way:  when Americans have jobs, they have a future.  When Americans have a future, they have hope--and want to build for that future.

Then they have children.  We build the future for them, ya'know.

MacIver vs. Tonelson. Choose Tonelson!

As we rode into the sunrise on Friday morn, Jay Weber eulogized Trump's tax cuts and regulatory reforms as the Engines of the New Prosperity.

No mention of trade policies, meaning that Jay is a believer in the "free trade" of MacIver--the very same "free trade" that emptied America's factories and sent millions of manufacturing jobs to Red China (smart, eh??), Viet Nam, Thailand, and Mexico.

It wasn't just Obozo the Communist who kept the US in recession for 8 years.  It was the disappearance of high-paid/high-benefits jobs in manufacturing.

Read MacIver's home page and you'll learn that you are probably going broke buying a washer or dryer because of Trump's horrible, awful, kill-the-American-citizen trade policies.  Yup.  Order your coffin early (because it will be made in Viet Nam, of course.)  You're pretty close to dead!!

Fortunately, there is an individual who keeps track of the actualities in the economy named Alan Tonelson.

That development in turn mean that such output is starting to replace spending as the main engine of expansion. If the trend continues, American prosperity will gain a much stronger foundation.
The same week that those encouraging combined goods and services trade numbers came out, the federal government also released data confirming that manufacturing is making similar progress. That’s important because industry still dominates U.S. trade flows, because its historic (though not recent) productivity growth has been so strong, because it’s so crucial to the nation’s high tech future. Manufacturing also boasts a healthy jobs multiplier – that is, the creation of each new manufacturing position adds many more jobs throughout the rest of the economy. And it’s long displayed the potential to enable working class Americans to live middle class lives (even though its recent wage performance has been relatively weak.)...
Yah, you paid an extra $25.00 for that washing machine.  Fortunately, your next-door neighbor got a job at the newly-opened factory, so he and his family can continue to live there and he can quit driving school bus, being an Uber guy, and cutting lawns (all at the same time) to keep the lights on.

This is simple:  we are part of a community, not a bunch of independent economic "units".  We can make plenty 'nuff money to buy wash machines when we are employed, but not when the good jobs are in China, Mexico, or Thailand.

Of course, MacIver's 'economic' writers could move to any of those places if they want to compare.  

Sanfelippo's Plan for Wisconsin Roads

Joe Sanfelippo has an intriguing plan for financing Wisconsin's roads--and it is NOT a gas-tax, nor a fee increase, nor a toll-road.  In other words, Sanfelippo thinks Wisconsinites pay plenty already, but the money's going to the wrong (and very, very fat) pot.

...The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau estimates that Wisconsin collects around $1 billion in sales tax revenue annually from the sale of automobiles and related parts and services, all of which currently goes to the state’s general fund. Transferring a portion of this revenue into the transportation fund over time would give it a stable and sustainable funding source without putting a hole in the state budget and jeopardizing other programs. Critically, this would make money available to begin substantially reducing Wisconsin’s reliance on bonding for road construction projects. As a result, money that would otherwise be used for debt service would, instead, be available for additional transportation program funding. That’s a common-sense approach that Wisconsin should strive to achieve.

Any honest discussion of Wisconsin’s transportation issues has to acknowledge the role that the waste and inefficiency in the sprawling state Department of Transportation plays. Consequently, a central component of this plan is ensuring that the DOT continues to implement the operational reforms that commenced under the previous DOT secretary to begin addressing these structural problems within the agency. In tandem with dedicating more funds for transportation, we must pass legislation that reforms the way that the department conducts its business on a day-to-day basis and, also, properly aligns its long-term planning with its long-term needs....
Joe should be careful about crossing the RoadBuilders, or he'll find himself under the pavement like the last West Allis politician who took them on.

But hey!  Nice to see someone who thinks more of the taxpayers than the DOT's Permanent Class and the RoadBuilders, eh?

No Gun Rights in Venezuela, Gov't Murders Follow

The other day we noted that 15 years after gun rights were eliminated in Turkey, the Turkish Moslem government slaughtered at least 1,500,000 Catholic Armenians.

Now we note that the Socialist/Communist government in Venezuela eliminated gun rights five years ago..........and guess what??

...Venezuelans once enjoyed partial gun rights before the Chávez and, now, Nicolás Maduro socialist tyranny. Chávez progressively violated those rights, especially after the 2002 failed coup against him, before ultimately pushing for his total “Disarmament Law” (Ley Desarme). Chávez did not live to see Maduro impose that law in 2013, redeeming “the cause” after the first dictator’s passing....

 ...Chavista gangs, also known as “colectivos,” have been the armed corps in charge of eliminating dissidents, breaking into the private property of innocents, and attacking activists and journalists for decades since Chávez became President. But even having the same deadly weapons as the Venezuelan Army, it is a fact that they haven’t been able to neutralize Venezuelans against the regime....
Unfortunately for Venezuelans, the interim president, who is supported by the Trump Administration,  also is a gun-grabber kinda guy, which may account for his popularity rating dropping like a rock in the last 90 days or so.

Trump apparently approves of the Pre-Emptive Gun Grab plan pushed by the usual suspects including the Republican weenie-club.  He should carefully re-think his casual abolition of the 4th Amendment.

Gun owners know what to do, of course.....

Gee.  Seems that Mark Pocan (D-Nutland) was a board member of a "dark money" bunch, the Congressional Progressive Caucus Center.   And he "forgot" to mention that on his disclosure forms.

Not cool.

Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairs Reps. Pramila Jayapal and Mark Pocan omitted in their financial disclosure forms that they were board members of a dark money nonprofit group in 2017.

Not to worry.  Pelosi's 'ethics' committee will be just like Ryan's 'ethics' committee.  This will be buried, as Ryan buried the sex-offense payouts made by taxpayers.

Maybe draining the swamp will take more than a really good President, eh?

The "Nice" Muslims, Eh?

We are often reminded that there are "nice" Muslims.  Up to 2,000,000 Christians were murdered by Muslims--who ran the government--only about 100 years ago.  I'm sure there are "nice" Muslims, so long as they don't control the Government, eh?

Oh--by the way--

Here, we find them putting their nose into the Census question, with barely-concealed motives:

The Catholic Church and other service providers rely on the national Census to provide an accurate count in order to effectively serve those in need,” said Bishop Dewane. “We urge for all people to be counted in the Census, regardless of their citizenship. 

Proposed questions regarding immigration status will obstruct accurate Census estimates and ultimately harm immigrant families and the communities they live in. Our society, rooted in the strength of the family, cannot risk missing this opportunity to give children and parents the tools they need to succeed,”...
Well, since the Bishops think so highly of families (as they damn well should), maybe the Bishops can show us all the sermons they preached about not using artificial contraception, or about the virtue of getting married before having babies, and like that, eh?  And--by the way--how about all the sermons preached on the same topics by all their Diocesan priests??  Hmmmmmm???

Maybe the Bishops can show us, in writing, their semi-secret "penitential practice" memorandums directing priests in confessional matters on those topics, eh?

As I recall, preaching Christ crucified and risen is your obligation, not trolling for Federal money.  Or did that change somewhere along the line in the "Americanist Church"?

Free at Last!! NSA Reverses!

This is the program that Jim Sensenbrenner, noted Constitutional scholar, endorsed.

(WASHINGTON DC) The National Security Agency has recommended that the White House abandon a U.S. surveillance program that collects information about Americans’ phone calls and text messages, saying the logistical and legal burdens of keeping it outweigh its intelligence benefits, according to people familiar with the matter....
About damn time.

This is a program which George W Bush authorized and which Obama gleefully perverted to his own political benefit.  It is as intrusive as any program ever devised by any Fascist or Communist government.

Happy to see it go.

...About 24 hours ahead of Tesla's coming "Investor Day" and just moments after we broke the news that Tesla had been granted a restraining order on a short seller who has been critical of the company on Twitter, stunning video has surfaced of a Tesla catching fire and exploding, while parked....

...A utility-sized lithium battery at an Arizona Public Service substation in Surprise exploded Friday night, badly injuring four firefighters with chemical burns. Four others were hospitalized for evaluation....

Faith and Bad-News Demographics

This story is twisted a bit; in fact, the lede was buried in order to accommodate certain interest groups. 

Here's the stuff that 'immigration rights' and 'cheap-labor big ag' people want you to read:

...The Wisconsin Counties Association’s nonpartisan research arm, Forward Analytics, recently released a study that raises concerns about the state’s migration patterns. The report says Wisconsin doesn’t have enough young people to take over jobs from baby boomers set to retire in the coming 10 to 15 years.

“We’ve got to figure out how to turn that around and we’ve got to do it fairly quickly because baby boomers are nearing retirement,” said Dale Knapp, Forward Analytics’ research director.

The state’s migration of children dropped below 10,000 from 2010 to 2015. Before 2010, Wisconsin added 40,000 children from outside the state over a five-year period....

In fact, this is a demographic collapse which has serious implications for schools, colleges, AND 'the workforce.'  This is not something to be dismissed lightly, friends.

The real story--the one that underlies almost every economic story in the US and Western Europe--is here (quoting the article):

"Wisconsin’s birthrate has also declined to its lowest in four decades."

This is due to the Collapse of Faith.  It is no small irony that this story is running on Easter Sunday; whereas Easter is the definition of hope and confidence in the future, the West's secular-materialist denial of hope and confidence produces a shrinking West--and in the case of Wisconsin, a shrinkage to the point where the society will be incapable of sustaining itself with its own progeny.

To be brutally honest about it, the Catholic faith (as written, not as practiced) was right:  large families are good for the nation AND the families.  Note that I said "not as practiced".....just visit any suburban Catholic parish on a Sunday to find out what that really means.  I dare you, Abp. Listecki!!

There's a reason that Russia, Poland, the Czechs, France, Singapore, Italy and others pay "baby bonuses" to their citizens. 

And there's a reason that Wisconsin has a problem.

The Utter Hypocrisy of Mexico

Given what we know about the border, this is ludicrous:]

Mexico said on Saturday it had “deep concern” about armed groups that intimidate and extort migrants on the border, shortly after the ACLU and Democratic senators called for a probe into such citizen efforts to block migrants from crossing....

For the time being, fuggedabout the Anti-Christian Libertarian Union.  Concentrate on Mexico.  Fuggedabout praising the US citizens who are taking action to defend this country from an invasion.

"Armed groups" on the border, eh?  Let's go to an expert on The Border.

...I've watched Mexican troops, and police, violate the border where they can without penalty, time and again. Whilst armed. Invariably, anyone on their side at the border isn't there to enforce the border, or anything else, except at the wishes of, and to the benefit of, the drug/smuggling cartels, which have controlled all movement across it for 10+ years. I have photographed and listened to, from rock-throwing distance, off-duty Mexican law enforcement scouting the border for passing drug and personnel shipments over it, and calling it in to their narco-jefes. I have witnessed them deciding, in the absence of US presence, to violate US sovereignty time and again, while armed, and not up to anything good. (The technical term this goes by in State Department conference rooms is "casus belli".)...

That in response to a B.S. story about a couple of armed US ARNG's allegedly "in Mexico" who were "turned back" by Mexican "troops."  The US citizens were NOT "in Mexico."  They just were--accidentally--in the way of a drug shipment guarded by Mexican troops, like most of them are.

I have friends and relatives who really enjoy vacationing in Mexico.  I'm beginning to think that they are playing.... well...., MEXICAN roulette, given what we really should know but what the US State Department keeps secret from us.

A federal judge in Montana delayed a Trump administration attempt to open up more federal lands to coal mining Friday, The New York Times reported....

But here's the key part:

...Morris’s decision states that former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke did not consider the full environmental effects of overturning the coal mining ban and ordered the Department of the Interior (DOI) to redo and expand environmental studies on the matter....

This sort of legal faddle-twaddle is found, mutatis mutandis, in nearly every Fed decision rendered on Trump's executive orders, whether immigration or enviro. 

There IS a pattern here, and it ain't just the 9th Circus.  Yes, that bunch of wack-a-doo Obama twits is usually the focus of attention; but let's be nice with them for a moment (it IS Easter season, anyway.)

It is not the judges, it is not Trump, nor is it Trump's cabinet members (except DeVos and Neilsen).  
It IS the second- or third-tier True Believer Hard-Left administrators who jiggered and wiggled Trump's wishes so that he could NEVER win in court.  Those are the people who are screwing the public and Trump.

They are the ones who must be swept out, like other traitors to the Constitution such as Lois Lerner, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Lynch........

We also believe that we shall be quite literally ourselves, with our own name, as Jesus was not some new or Third Man, but himself, Jesus. Any other belief would be despair.
It is gratifying to think that James Schall will be himself, no?

Whitewater Grabass Case Gets Worse

At least 7, maybe 12 women were attacked by "Pete" Hill, husband of the disgraceful ex-Chancellor of UW-Whitewater. 

The Chancellor-ette did not discuss the allegations with her husband/grabass when they arose because she 'was wearing her Chancellor hat.'

Oh.  Well, then!!

She's still knocking down $240K/year, by the way.  And she'll need it for the damages suits.

Here, "welfare" means going after Federal Medicaid dollars, a position rejected by the entire governing structure of Wisconsin over the last several years.

But UW-Madistan economists won't stop trying, no matter how much they have to fabricate to mke the Tokin'Tony case.

UW-Whitewater's Corruption Problem

Arguably the very best American political scientist because he was a Roman Catholic in full (defying the direction of his Jesuit order since 1950), Fr. James Schall has died.

Reading Schall is always accompanied by the sotto voce "Aha!" of sudden illumination--about 1 or 2 of those for every chapter, and often far more frequently.

Fortunately, his written works will be available for years to come.  Unfortunately, not enough people (and not enough Catholics) will read them.

Norman Podhoretz, the Anti-Anti-Trump (!!)

What is surprising is that he's frank and clear about his position, despite being one of the original NeoCons.

...for a while I was supporting Marco Rubio and I was enthusiastic about him. Norm Podhoretz is an old man and usually old men are somewhat passive; they are inclined to find reconciliation in 'family squabbles', or at least not throw bombs.  (See, e.g., the letter of B-16 on the current crisis in the Church.)

But that's not what Podhoretz does.  That's because he thinks this is existential.

...I think we're all in a state of confusion as to what's going on. Tom Klingenstein has made a brilliant effort to explain it, in terms that haven’t really been used before. He says that our domestic politics has erupted into a kind of war between patriotism and multiculturalism, and he draws out the implications of that war very well. By the way, this has a corollary:  in the post below, we see the same deranged hatred in action, threatening a very, very significant economic development because it was assembled by Republicans:  Walker and Trump.

Evers Stamps His Widdle Feets

The governor of Wisconsin has gone from a resentful little twit to a full-blown destructive idiot.

Gov. Tony Evers said Wednesday he wants to renegotiate the state's contract with Foxconn Technology Group because the Taiwanese company won't be creating 13,000 jobs in Wisconsin as originally envisioned.  

"Clearly the deal that was struck is no longer in play and so we will be working with individuals at Foxconn and of course with (the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.) to figure out how a new set of parameters should be negotiated," Evers told reporters in his Capitol office. ...
Umnnnhhhhhhhh......why?

The State agreement is a sliding scale deal.  If Foxconn fails to employ X people, the State does NOT grant tax incentives.  

Here's why:  Evers is an  resentful, pasty-faced little twit with a powerful office and he wants to demolish any success in which Republicans had a hand.  

This will not end well.  Business leaders read the newspapers and will not deal with Governors who break covenants for no good reason. 

Better Perspective on Nixon History

Cops Arrest Wrong Guy

It appears that some West Milwaukee cop made a big mistake.

Seems that a break-and-enter crook made off with a computer and some clothing.  The owner of the computer saw that it was listed on Craigslist.  She had called the Milwaukee cops, but they ignored her TWICE.

So she sets up a buy on the computer.  The crook shows up wearing the clothes he stole from the room-mate....

A fight broke out and both men were arrested. Schneider's roommate was cited for battery and disorderly conduct..

It's best for the cops to ignore certain blanket-parties, IYKWIMAITYD.  When it was clear that the crook was losing the fight, the cop should have gone on a doughnut break, eh?

The Republican chairmen of three Senate committees are pressing Attorney General William Barr for details about “highly classified information” that the FBI declined to investigate as part of the Hillary Clinton email probe.

One of the chairmen is Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

According to the Republicans, the FBI drafted a memo in May 2016 saying that the information was “necessary” to complete the investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information on her private email server....

But Lynch/Comey/Obama/Jarrett DID NOT investigate the materials in the memo.  Then they used the fakery-and-cockamamie Mueller "investigation" as an excuse to stiff-arm the Senate.

Well, that's over, we hope.



Martin-ized Jesuit School Chooses Badly

...Students at John Carroll University (JCU) took offense to an op-ed published in The Carroll News by editor Declan Leary, who criticized a new magazine, entitled, Loud & Proud Zine, after it had first criticized him for expressing his views about a JCU-funded drag show last semester. Leary argued that a Catholic university is not an appropriate location for hosting such events.

“For about 30 pages — various contributors — including students, faculty members and three drag performers —– rant about how some scary conservative establishment (whose face is, of course, yours truly) is trying to repress them,” wrote Leary, “the issue isn’t that they’re being repressed; it’s just that nobody really wants to listen to them.”...

"Nobody really wants to listen to them"  That, my friends, is dead-on. 

At any rate....

The university went on to affirm its commitment to the “LGBTQIA+ community” and assured students that JCU would “work diligently to heal the wounds plaguing our campus community” and “create a space going forward.”

What a load of Martin-ized crap. 

At this point, the Jebbies--worldwide--are riding on the fumes of a legacy of 'intellectual rigor', which 'rigor' is actually in 'mortis' and has been so since about 1955.

Barr Vetoes Some "Catch/Release"

This is big news.

Immigration judges cannot release migrants who are caught sneaking into the United States, even if the migrants ask for asylum, says a binding legal decision by Attorney General William Barr....

“The [text of the relevant] Act provides that, if an alien in expedited proceedings establishes a credible fear, he “shall be detained for further consideration of the application for asylum,” says Barr’s April 16 decision, titled. Matter of M-S-. Because of the law, “I order that, unless DHS paroles the respondent under section 212(d)(5)(A) of the Act, he must be detained until his removal proceedings conclude.”...
This was immediately followed by caterwauling and bullsh&& from professional  liars lawyers.

INS will be setting up tent-cities for the next 90 days or so.  That's exactly what Bernie thought should happen, by the way.

...Barr’s new ruling does not apply to the many “UAC” migrant minors who are being smuggled northwards by parents living illegally in the United States. It also does not apply to migrants who walk up to the nation’s official ports of entry to ask for asylum.

But the ruling will apply to the huge number of migrants who cross the borderline away from the ports of entry....

So you can expect more "families" with "children" to show up.  Next step:  DNA testing to verify actual "parenthood."

You can expect the liar's club lawyer's association to come up with new texts for the  Soros-funded illegals to recite, just as they do now.

Not Only Notre Dame of Paris

Notre Dame cathedral in Paris suddenly burst into flame today.  In all likelihood, it is completely destroyed.  Some people did something, I guess.

But that's not the only Catholic church in France which has been .........ahhh.........*mysteriously*.......damaged lately.

...Roman Catholic churches have increasingly come under attack in France, a country so long identified with Christianity that it used to be called “the eldest daughter of the church.”


A recent fire at St. Sulpice, the second-largest church in Paris, has shed light on a trend that has become commonplace in many smaller towns.

“Who has heard of the sacking of the monastery of Saint Jean des Balmes in Aveyron? Of those teenagers who urinated into the holy water font of the church at Villeneuve de Berg in Ardèche?” the Paris daily Le Figaro asked last week in an article highlighting some of the lesser-known profanations around the country this month....
St Sulpice has a historic pipe organ--and organists.  For 100 years between 1870 and 1970, the organ was played by Charles Widor and Marcel Dupre, both noted organists AND composers.

Just some people doing something, as the Democrat-Muslim Party would note.

We suspect otherwise.....

A fire at St. Sulpice, considered the second biggest church within Paris city limits, has brought to attention other instances of church vandalism which have rocked the French faithful. A prominent newspaper carried an article on this subject, mentioning several other churches which were vandalized, like Aveyron’s Saint Jean des Balmes, and the instance of teenagers urinating into holy water at the Villeneuve de Berg church in Ardeche. French media do not prioritize reports about churches getting vandalized.

Good ol' Jim Sensenbrenner has "principles."  And after ...what?....165 years in Congress, Sensenbrenner has utterly failed to keep his "principles" enshrined in law.  Gee.  Can you say "loser"?

Under Jimbo's "principles," there will be no southern border.  Jim's "principles" would prevent the Commander-in-Chief from defeating an invasion of inimical forces.

So we could say that Jimbo's "principles" are "perverse," no?

Cdl. Sarah on the 'Notorious Mystery' of Justice Kennedy

Although it is now considered a legal and philosophical laugher, Anthony Kennedy's flapjaw in the Casey opinion pretty much epitomized Western positive law regarding the nature of sexuality.   But now comes Cdl. Sarah, who re-asserts the laws of Nature and Nature's God as primary.

Ace goes on to observe the following salient set of facts  (We know they are facts because The Noooz often prints or recites them based on "studies" handed to them by illegal-alien booster clubs):

 Well!!  The City of Milwaukee can use a whole lot of economic boosting and crime-rate reduction.  And there's one other thing:  the Democrat Convention will be held there in the summer of 2020, so if Trump can arrange for all those extra helping hands.......well, he'd be doing all those Democrats a big favor, too!!

Here's part of today's essay with which I mostly agree:

...the fact of the matter is the damage has been done, both to this President in terms of his ability to move his agenda forward and more broadly and much more critically to what was already a red nether hair-thin trust in our leaders and institutions. That has been irreparably damaged. I think this is one of the reasons why even a long time resident of DC like William Barr did what he did in stating the truth about Trump, out of perhaps a sense of wanting to restore the shattered credibility of the DoJ. It's a noble pursuit but all things considered on that is in vain. Things cannot and most certainly will not go on as before. We really are in uncharted territory politically and culturally. Maybe that's a good thing....
I'm quite a bit more cynical; recall that Barr has been a vocal and forceful defender of The Establishment--including defending the FBI killer/sniper at Ruby Ridge. 

My guess is that he said something to make the 'right' happy and that's the end of it.  Oh, there may be a sacrificial goat like Greg Craig (1 year suspended--watch!) or Ben Rhodes (6 months' confinement--watch!!).

But Hillary the Espionage Act, Obama the traitor/Communist, Susan Rice, Lynch the Fixer, Valerie Jarrett the Iranian--they'll get the same thing given Lois Lerner:  fat pension, fatter lifetime benefits, and a comfy book-revenue deal.

Channel 4's Vitrano Posts (D) Propaganda. Sad.

It's kinda sad--but not surprising--to note that The Nooz is merely a branch of the Democrat Party.

Another example pops up today.  While Channel 4's Vince Vitrano is 'splaining 'what to expect from the gas-tax hike' he is only half-honest (at best) about the past.  Here he discusses terminating the automatic gas-tax increases which happened in 2005:

The change saved drivers $1.7 billion over the years, but it also contributed to delays in major construction projects.

Vitrano "forgets" Jim Doyle's outright theft of FOUR HUNDRED NINETY MILLION DOLLARS from the transportation trust fund--which would have gone a long ways towards road projects, no?

By the way, Vitrano never tells us "what to expect from the gas-tax hike".  He was too busy covering Doyle's rancid ass, I guess.

McConnell Still Weasel-Wording. Surprise!!

We see that the eminent climatologist Mitch McConnell is backing AlGore.

...“Yeah, I believe that climate change is certainly happening,” McConnell answered. “I think it ought to be addressed by technology, and not by having the government shut down our economy and cause us to lose an incredible number of jobs.”...

Yes, that remark deserves a LOT of interpretation.  Let me offer one strong possibility:

"I'm sure that my donors will benefit from MY solutions to "climate change."  Further, if you are NOT one of my donors, you will be hammered by MY solutions to "climate change."  And as long as there's money to be had, I will insist that there IS such a thing as "climate change" and I will NEVER define the term any further.  Nice business (or life) you have there.  It would be a shame if suddenly it disappears, eh?"

That's exactly how all those jerks work, friends.

Barr Finds the Elephant

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) referred to the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, as a day in which “some people did something” during her keynote address at a private fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) of Greater Los Angeles last March....

Yah, well, "some people did something" at Auschwitz, too.  Surprise!!  The Palestinian Arabs were allies of those "people". 

And "some people" continue to attack and kill Catholics and burn their churches all over the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

But she wasn't done!

In her remarks, Omar urged attendees to “raise hell” and “make people uncomfortable” in an effort to reverse the fortunes of Muslim Americans, who the freshman Congresswoman suggested were demoted to second-class citizens following 9/11.

Sometimes you wonder what's in this guy's breakfast cereal.

“I’m sure you all want peace. And why are there so many wars? For example, in Yemen, in Syria, in Afghanistan. Why? If they didn’t have the weapons, they wouldn’t wage war. So why do they wage war? Because we… rich Europe, America, sells weapons to kill children, to kill people. We’re the ones who make the difference!”...
And traffic deaths happen because rich Europeans, Koreans, Japanese, and Americans manufacture and sell cars.

This is a fellow who needs a long vacation.

Socialism's Anti-Charity Creed

Found in a column addressing the Socialist deficiency.

...One might ask what kind of heartless person could be against helping the poor. How could such people exert enough power in America to extinguish the light of charity?

The answer comes from an anecdote of a popular political figure who spoke at a United Way charity benefit dinner many years ago.

“I don’t believe in charities,” he said gruffly, adding that he did not “believe in the fundamental concepts on which charities are based and contend that government, rather than charity organizations, should take over responsibility for charity programs.”

The outspoken figure was the then-Mayor Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist. The comment was quoted in a 1981 New York Times article that recently surfaced....
The fact that it was Sanders is irrelevant; the point which you SHOULD have gotten is that socialism cannot co-exist with charity and given the chance, a socialist government will eliminate it.

Don't yammer and yummer about 'nice people' in the ranks of socialists.  That's irrelevant, too.

 ...socialists hate charity because their egalitarian ideology demands economic equality above all things....

 ...socialists believe charity humiliates the poor who are forced to ask for what is rightfully theirs. Private charity perpetuates the structures of poverty. The poor must demand the fruits of another’s successes as a right not as a gift....

 ...socialists hate the idea of charity because it undermines their concept of history as class struggle. The socialists do not want the harmony of the social classes but want to pit one class against another...
(Which "pitting" also works well with race, "orientation" and now even imagined orientation!!)


 ...From their limited materialist perspective, socialists cannot understand true charity. They cannot grasp the enormous scope and efficacy of Christian charity. They only believe in power and self-interest; they cannot admit an order in which people might freely help one another for a higher cause....
A country of Bernies?  A country where charity is on the road to being illegal?
