Jesuit Priest Short on Moral Logic (!)

Nah, it's not a surprise.

A Jesuit priest took to Twitter just 12 hours after armed parishioners in Texas stopped a gunman who opened fire during a church service and appeared to condemn those who would allow guns in church for security purposes....

When a follower pushed back and asked the Jesuit priest if it wasn’t a good thing that that armed parishioners were able to stop the gunman, Zipple would not agree....

"...we’ll not permit guns in our church. Some Christians gotta be bold & say no more killing & we trust God enough to take care of the rest,” Zipple tweeted. “And some will say that’s imprudent and foolish and I’ll say, but where are the fools for Christ?..."
I can't say that I'm a fan of having a concealed weapon in a church.  There's a sort of cognitive dissonance about it which makes it uncomfortable.  With that said............

One thing is perfectly clear here:  this Jebbie does not have a wife and children.  If he did, he'd think differently.  The moral norm at play with self-defense is one thing and it's not the same as the moral norm at play with defense of others.  We can choose to be shot (martyred?); we can licitly sacrifice our own life.  But we may NOT licitly allow someone to kill or maim others, assuming we have the capability to prevent it.

As a corollary, no authority on Earth can take away the God-given right to self-defense, nor take away the God-given responsibility for the defense of others.

(If one is not capable of preventing mayhem or murder, there may be a moral case made for self-sacrifice in hope that doing so will reduce the number of casualties.  But that's a 'greater good' question, too:  will self-sacrifice bring about greater good than raising the family you have?  If you're old and past child-rearing...well.........)

If you KNOW that you can take down or disable/disarm a shooter--with or without a gun of your own--you should do so.  If you're not certain--but have calculated that the greater good requires you to counter-attack because the odds are in your favor--you may be required to do so.

If you have assessed the situation and know that you CANNOT take down/disable/disarm the shooter, you are still required to help as many others as possible to escape, starting with your own family.

Oh yeah--call 911.

Moral logic is not as simple as the Jebbie would like, is it?

Trump Nukes Dem Convention

Trump is obviously seeking revenge on the Democrats for their recent perfidies.

President Trump will sign an executive order on Friday meant to combat human trafficking and online child exploitation, including by adding a new position at the White House to focus on the issue....

This will have a serious effect on the Democrat National Convention's social activities.

And when Bernie does not get the nomination, there will be riots and Molotov cocktails.

Altogether a fitting end to Tom Barrett's time as Mayor.

Breaking Poll Data

Coronavirus Polling Higher Than All Presidential Candidates

That is all.

HT:  BB

Tony and Bernie: "People's" Gulags?

Tokin'Tony likes to emit gas about "People's" this and "People's" that.

Hmmmm.

Now Bernie--an open Communist--has a campaign ad featuring "the people's perfume."

No.  I am NOT making that up.

Does this mean that Maggie Gau is another BernieBro?  Could it be that Tokin'Tony, Maggie, and Bernie share an ambition to re-open the Gulag and massacre capitalists and bad-thinkers?

Bolton Hired the Vindman Kiddies; Sedition Follows

AmGreatness reminds us that "War-War" Bolton hired the Vindman boyzz.  That's likely because the Vindman kiddies are (by birth) friendly towards Ukraine and against Russia--and because Ukraine would be another fine place for a war!!

As is usually the case with snakes, they bite; Bolton and his Ukrainian-American kiddies.......well.......draw your own conclusions.

...Bolton is totally responsible for this pair of unusual hires. There is no explaining this strange duo of appointments as something that the bureaucracy simply slipped over on Bolton. That is not Bolton’s way.

Anyone who has been involved in national security affairs in Republican administrations since 1981 knows that it is impossible that the Vindman brothers were given sensitive jobs in Bolton’s NSC without Bolton having become assured of their usefulness and loyalty to Bolton and his agenda. Both the Ukraine policy and the “ethics attorney” slots are of vast personal priority to Bolton....
As the author broadly hints, timing is everything when examining the behavior of snakes.

...President Trump fired the insubordinate Bolton on September 10. During the week that followed, the “whistleblower” complaint emerged in the news, at first connected to a communication between President Trump and an unidentified foreign leader. On September 18, the Washington Post reported that Trump had made some kind of “promise” to the foreign leader. On September 19, the IC inspector general gave a secret briefing to Schiff and other congressional leaders. The same day, the Washington Post reported that the whistleblower complaint involved Ukraine....

And then there's this:

...Yevgeny Vindman reportedly is the NSC staffer given charge of reviewing John Bolton’s self-sanctifying memoir manuscript, which somehow leaked to the New York Times last week....
Sedition comes from all sorts of places in D.C.

Early in his Presidency, Trump observed that nothing in his New York developer experience prepared him for the level of treachery and deceit he found in Washington.

Thanks to Trump, we get to see some of it, and it clearly calls for correction, one way or another.

The Slip-and-Fall Flim-Flam, Roundup Edition

This comes as no surprise.

The EPA said on Thursday it finished a regulatory review that found glyphosate, the most widely used weed killer in the United States, is not a carcinogen and does not cause cancer.

The conclusion reaffirms the agency's stance on glyphosate, the key ingredient in Bayer AG's Roundup, despite judgments by U.S. juries that have found that use of the weedkiller was responsible for plaintiffs' cancer in some trials.

'EPA has concluded that there are no risks of concern to human health when glyphosate is used according to the label and that it is not a carcinogen,' the agency said in a statement....

Naturally, the Slip-and-Fall industry had a (very weak) response from their bought and paid-for "scientist":  ORANGE MAN BAD!!!

'This administration's troubling allegiance to Bayer/Monsanto and the pesticide industry doesn't change the trove of peer-reviewed research by leading scientists finding troubling links between glyphosate and cancer,' said Lori Ann Burd, director of environmental health for the Center for Biological Diversity.
Yup.  It's Trump's fault.

Martin Luther Never Died...

..........he's still alive and well in Germany*.

The working documents in preparation for the assemblies of the German bishops’ “Synodal Path” defend the use of contraception, the practice of masturbation, and an active homosexual lifestyle. Additionally, neither the question of the ordination of women nor that of making celibacy optional for priests is taken off the table....

B-16 predicted that the Church will get smaller.  He's from Germany.  That's not a coincidence.

*However, neither Wisconsin nor Missouri Synod Lutherans advocate self-abuse nor "active" homosexual lifestyle--at least publicly.

Black Lives Matter = Affirming Trannies?

One suspects that NO ONE in Milwaukee's black community was asked about this.

Next week is the “Black Lives Matter at School National Week of Action,” and Milwaukee Public Schools and its teachers’ union are all in.

MPS will be hosting Black Lives Matter (BLM) events all week long, and the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association (MTEA) “strongly encourages all members to get involved.”  ...

A middle school or high school teacher following MTEA’s recommended lesson plan ....Wednesday is dedicated to “Queer Affirming, Transgender Affirming, and Collective Value.”...
This is nothing if not Colonialism writ large.  You remember:  the White Man's Burden--here "educating" the poor black children about Progress, defined as 'affirming homosexuality and transgenderism'.

Black people should stand up and scream bloody murder.

Obama's Man in Ukraine a Massive Crook?

I don't understand this.  Marie Yovanovich and Joe Biden just loved this guy.

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau has opened a probe against former president, Petro Poroshenko, who is suspected of abuse of power, embezzlement “on a grand scale” and allegedly stealing US aid funds. The case against the ex-president was opened following a complaint by a group of Ukrainian MPs and the nation’s High Anti-Corruption Court demanding the authorities investigate embezzlement and misappropriation of the foreign financial aid at the time of Poroshenko’s term in office...
So before Trump sent FOUR HUNDRED MILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS to that shithole country, he asked the new President to dig into the vast corruption-scheme that was Poroshenko, Burisma, Biden, Heinz, .........etc., all seemingly aided and abetted by some Obama crony-striped-skirt babe called "ambassador."

The more you know, the more you understand why DC should simply slide into the Atlantic.

Dried-Up Prune Hillary Evades Lawsuit--So Far

On awakening face-down on her kitchen floor in a pool of dried-up Chardonnay vomit, Hillary took action!!

Hillary Clinton and her aides have refused to be served with legal papers in a defamation dispute with Tulsi Gabbard, it has been claimed.

Gabbard's lawyers say they were turned away by the Secret Service and later by Clinton's attorney when they tried to deliver the paperwork.

The Democratic presidential hopeful is suing Clinton for $50million over an interview last year in which the 2016 nominee suggested that Gabbard was the 'favorite of the Russians'....
Is anyone--anyone at all--surprised that Clinton evades legal actions?

CJ Roberts, Pierre Delecto, What's the Diff??

Apparently John Roberts has a crush on Pierre Delecto.

Two Senators submitted questions to this bag of namby-pamby-in-black, and their questions were stomped by Delecto Roberts.

Why?

Because they would have revealed Ciaramella as the fake whistleblower AND established that Adam Schiff lied about meeting him--specifically, WHEN they met.

Can't have that.  Widdle PajamaBoy Ciaramella might wet his pants.

As to Schiff?  Nothing can damage his reputation at this point, anyway.

Mini-Mike to Get WHAT Done?

From the planet of MiniMike, who is having visions:

...The vision includes transgenders’ rights to free sex surgery and hormone treatment, rights to shelter based on gender identity, and forcing law enforcement and health care providers to undergo “cultural competency” and “implicit bias” training....
No guns, no salt, no large soda pops, and free mutilation for mental cases.

Mini-Mike will get it done.

That's a threat, not a platform.

With Bolton, Follow the Money

Gateway reports...

...[The White House requested that] Bolton’s book should not be published because it contains “significant amounts of classified information”, including top secret information. The letter was sent several days before the New York Times anonymously sourced, second hand report on Bolton’s manuscript...
No book, no royalties.

No royalties, hard times follow.

So it was not solely Bolton's enormous ego.  It was prosaic, too.  Follow the Money!!

Should It Be "F B Lie"?

Not that there was much--if any--credibility left with these dopes....

...a new batch of emails have surfaced that put the FBI in a whole lot of trouble with at least two Federal Judges. Attorney Ty Clevenger made repeated FOIA requests to the FBI for all emails and communications dealing with Seth Rich and his murder. The FBI denied they had any such communications. Whoops! There are now five emails and one text message that show that denial is not true....

Par for the course.

Catholic Francis Rooney Forgets Church's Teaching

An (R) Congress-critter named Francis Rooney who served as GWBush's ambassador to the Vatican writes an essay about 'how the FedGov can fix income disparity.'

He is joined in this by a Hindu (D) representing a far-left California district.

Rooney flaps the jaw about "Catholic teaching."

...St. Peter’s recent successors call on us to focus on decreasing economic inequality. John Paul II’s encyclical, "Centesimus Annus" declared that “the free market is the most efficient instrument for utilizing resources and effectively responding to needs”, but “there are many human needs which find no place on the market.” In his 2013 New Year message, Pope Benedict XVI said he was alarmed “to see hotbeds of tension and conflict caused by growing instances of inequality between rich and poor” and called for a new approach to the economy....
As usual, statistics and citations regarding "inequality" are missing.  The very selective CEO/Lowest-paid worker ratio is presented as some sort of "evidence."  In fact, it's merely inflammatory polemic.

And of course, "Congress" can fix all this.

....Congress has an important role in reducing income inequality. There are some actions that are bipartisan. We should create more career and technical training (CTE) opportunities, invest in rural broadband, expand small business loans to rural entrepreneurs and fund infrastructure improvements.

Specifically, the government should target areas suffering bankruptcies and economic distress where it would help facilitate job creation, entrepreneurial opportunities and increased community involvement. Because corporations are often creatures of their markets and competitive pressures, they will respond to external influences including legislative or regulatory changes promoting CTE, the minimum wage and improved working conditions....
Apparently Cong. Rooney missed the bedrock Catholic social-justice teaching called "SUBSIDIARITY."  I know, it's a big word with lots of letters, but maybe he could look it up and--maybe--learn something by reading the definition.

Rooney claims Catholicism without knowing Rule #1 of Catholic social doctrine on Governments?

Yup.  That's what we have these days.  He's a Bushman, after all.

FEEBS Push Their "Heroism" BS in Virginia

Given the horrible reputation the FBI has acquired over the last couple of years, it would seem that they should maintain a low profile and just do their job well.

But no.  They have to hype their "successes" and get caught.

...The New York Times, the Associated Press, and BuzzFeed narrative centered around the arrest of three men: William Bilbrough, Brian Lemley, and Canadian national Patrik Mathews–all members of the The Base, a white supremacist organization that interacts mostly online and aims to create a white ethno-state. The media implied the group was arrested while planning an attack at the Virginia rally, but that is not what law enforcement documents show.

Firstly, the group decided not to actually go to a rally. They also decided not to start any violence. They planned to wait for a race war to start, as voice recordings show, and then join in....
Apparently the FEEBS have no continuing interest in 30,000 emails from Hillary, which may still be in the possession of the New York Police Department.

Where's Pro-Life Paul Ryan??

Paul Ryan, who makes a Big Deal of being a pro-life Catholic, is a Member of the Board of Fox.

So what's he doing?  Taking a nap??

The pro-life group that created the powerful abortion survivor TV ad played at the March for Life last week is calling out Fox Sports Network for stonewalling them and refusing to approve their ad to run in a slot on Super Bowl Sunday this coming weekend. ...
The technique that Fox is using to stiffarm the ad is distinctly Government-esque.

...“I think it’s very clever what they’re doing. If they directly said ‘no’ then we could say ‘this is asinine, look at the suitable ad that Fox rejected’, but they haven’t directly said ‘no,’ they’ve ignored us, wasted our time, refused to give an answer and refused to either give us clearance or simply say ‘no,’” Gillett said. ...
Maybe Paul went hunting for a few months.  Or maybe he's having more conversations with Cdl. Dolan.

He's certainly not playing the pro-life advocate at Fox.

"US Catholic" Essay Drips With Condescension

About 30 years ago I picked up a copy of "US Catholic" while visiting a parish.  The parish was known as a somewhat 'liberal' place, and reading the magazine proved that beyond a doubt.

So when "US Catholic" ran an article about Catholic Trump voters, I knew what to expect.  But I did not expect such a juvenile, openly prejudiced, condescending, pile of tripe.

Yes, indeed, there are examples!!

The author is visiting Thomas More College in New Hampshire:

...I didn’t know yet if I was in Catholic heaven or Catholic hell. Or—as the daughter of a Lutheran mother and a lapsed Catholic father—if this was purgatory, where I’d hear the justification for an American Catholicism that had drifted far to the right...
Far to the right?  How about "remaining in place" while certain other Catholics have drifted far, far, far, to the left?

...Trump’s Catholic support (he beat Hillary Clinton 60 to 37 among white Catholics) was among the most important and unexplained statistics of the 2016 election....
Notice the setup for "raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacis!!!" in there?  What was the overall Catholic support for Trump?  The one that includes ALL the races?  Hmmmmm??  Still on that question:

...Catholic support for Trump was unprecedented and complicated, despite the easy answer that it was about abortion....
Revulsion at the most corrupt (D) in history might have played a part, sweetie.  "Abortion" did not prevent the Catholic vote from going to Obozo in '12.

The author actually makes the case for the College:

...What Thomas More lacks in size it makes up for in influence and zeal. The college has just one major—liberal arts—but its goal is diametrically opposed to what most Americans would consider liberalism. At Thomas More young men and women aren’t allowed in one another’s dormitories. There’s no drinking, no organized sports, and no illicit drugs....
Those aren't "bugs," young lady.

She rattles on with the usual prejudicial narrative.....'affluent', 'white,' ....

I can sense the college’s admiration for a bygone age of education rooted in ancient Greece, where only the wealthy had the privilege of education for the sake of education.
...and inserts the obligatory "SIN LURKS SOMEWHERE"....

...the campus and its students’ and faculty’s scrubbed, self-consciously composed appearance make me wonder what lurks in the shadows....

Using soap regularly is an indicator of hidden evil?  OK, then!!

[Her student guide to the campus] Cassella uses antiquated words like virtues, formation, and spiritual practices.
The reporter-ette occupies the Brave NEW World, you see.  Not only NEW, but slightly schizoid:

...I am struck by how utopic this world seems, removed from the barriers of sexism, classism, racism, and homophobia that so often scar and divide American contemporary life. Maybe I wouldn’t have minded dwelling in this world a bit longer, and I probably would have been welcomed, since I am white, Christian, and heterosexual....
No doubt that she knows, with Biblical certainty, that there are zero homosexuals or lesbians on that campus.  She probably asked each student, right?  Because as we all "know," nobody can be a homosexual or lesbian AND a Catholic, right?  Especially a Catholic who uses antiquated terms such as "virtues, formation, and spiritual practices."

The reporter-ette uses all the usual deceptions and trickery, too.

...Cassella, like many American conservative Catholics, believes that the clergy sexual abuse crisis is partially attributable to a large number of gay priests entering the priesthood in the 1960s and ’70s, even though homosexual identity is not linked to sexual abuse....
........except for the EIGHTY PERCENT of the VICTIMS who were boys and homosexually attacked.

There's more, but fisking this crap is tiresome.  Bottom line?  Don't bother with "US Catholic."  It's not "Catholic" and may not even be "US"--aside from its address.

College Contraction Begins at UW-Whitewater

There's never been a question about shrinking school enrollments, and UW-Whitewater is the first reported casualty of the birth-dearth.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is looking at potential layoffs in the wake of a "drastic" decline in enrollment this fall that resulted in almost 500 fewer students than the fall of the year before.

Chancellor Dwight Watson, who is entering his second semester at the university's helm, wrote in a campuswide letter that the university's budget will need to shrink by $12 million over the next two fiscal years to make up for the lost tuition revenue.

UW-Whitewater's enrollment has now declined 8% over the past three years....
That's pretty steep.

Live-birth stats in both Wisconsin and the nation have dropped VERY significantly since 1960, from 25.4 that year to 11.1 in 2018.  Eighteen years ago, the rate in Wisconsin was 12.9, (far short of the national 14.4)--and the rate has gone down since 2000.

Undaunted by reality, the UW System has been building lotsa new buildings, and local school districts are doing the same.

The taxpayer revolt will not be pretty when it comes, and it's coming fast.

Child Abuse or Abuse of Parents?

Well, now.

There's little question that there are TWO "narratives" surrounding an alleged child-abuse case.

One is provided by the local newspaper, which is obviously relying heavily on the DA's office and off-the-record comments from the local hospital.

The other is provided by NBC News.  Their report raises plenty of questions about the staffers who determine that "child abuse" has been committed.

One thing is clear:  even medical professionals make mistakes, like "co-sleeping."  That's just dumb.  On the other hand, unlike most "co-sleeping" parents in the Milwaukee area, this parent rushed his child to the ER.

This whole "child abuse reporting" thing has dramatically changed the relationship between parents and hospital ER's, not to mention pediatricians.  This is not a good thing, friends.

Social Security Crisis Fueled by Illegals

It's not just "Teh Boomers" who are taking Social Security dollars.  Rep. Ted Budd authors a column asserting that illegals are also sucking dollars from the system.  And he has a solution!

...One prominent issue we should prioritize is the thousands of cases of illegal immigrants gaining access to taxpayer-funded programs such as Social Security and obtaining benefits that should only go to citizens or those with legal status.

A report from the Immigration Reform Law Institution found that, from 2012 to 2016, there were “39 million instances where names and Social Security numbers on W-2 tax forms did not match the corresponding Social Security records.” A report such as this shows there’s no question that our current laws need to change to preserve the integrity of our Social Security system.

Another report from the Social Security Administration estimated that three out of every four illegal immigrants possess a Social Security number that does not belong to them. That is how they are able to game the system....
A few years ago, the greatest concentration of "No-Match" SSN's was in Illinois--which happens to be the home of quite a few agricultural-products and meat-products companies.  Surely, that's just co-incidence.  It's likely that many of those "no-match" people are actually Democrat voters.  But I digress.

...The bill would apply to those without work authorizations, and an illegal immigrant would not be eligible to collect any credits until they have gained legal authorization. This would create a clear incentive for illegal immigrants to stop using someone else’s number fraudulently and to instead obtain a work permit as quickly as possible so they would be able to begin paying into the system legally....
The Democrats and the US Chamber of Commerce will fight this bill tooth and nail.

But you knew that.

Bloomberg Plays the Nazi Card

In a display of irony fit for any (D) candidate, MiniMike played the "Nazi" card.

...So when children are ripped from mothers at the border because their skin is darker, or when immigrants are denied entrance based on their religion or nationality, we hear history’s dark echoes – while others hear a dog whistle and become emboldened and empowered.

That from the guy who banned large-sized soda pop servings and table salt in restaurants--and who made "stop and frisk" a daily duty of his polizei.  And he's been trying to disarm Americans since forever because that's what Hitler did.

And of course, he also lied about what Trump actually said on Charlotte:

...Leaders sets a tone. It is either inclusive or exclusive, divisive or uniting, incendiary or calming. It either appeals to “very fine people on both sides” of bigotry — or it unequivocally rejects it.

Well, to me, there is no such thing as a “very fine” white supremacist....
Then comes the BIG lie:

 I choose America.
No you don't Mike.  You choose YOUR Nazi regimen.  That's not "America."

Surprise!! FBI IG Lying in Report

Sens. Johnson (R-WI) and Grassley (R-IA) have asked Barr to declassify some footnotes in the IG report issued by Horowitz.

Seems that they directly contradict some assertions he made in his report.

IOW, he's lyingCovering asses.

Please don't cry or faint from shock.

The Harvard Man

As I understood it, David Hogg was given a full ride at Harvard.

He posted the following the other day:

This is a tweet for for the founders of the gun violence prevention movement started centuries ago by almost entirely black, brown and indigenous lgbtq women and non binary people that never got on the news or in most history books.

We may not know all your names but thank you.
Since he's paying zero for his Harvard education, I'd say that he's getting his money's worth.

And this is worth remembering when you next run across some Harvard grad, who may have been stupid enough to PAY for such education.

"War-War" Bolton Goes All Brutus

Since it's not likely that "War-War" Bolton will get the prize--war with Iran--that he's sought for most of his 'professional' life, he decided that it's time to take down Caesar.

But nothing at all prevents Bolton from buying an AR-15, a few thousand rounds of ammo, some Kevlar and camo, and air-dropping himself into Tehran, where he can take on the mullahs in the Final Battle.  He could take his daughter along; after all, war-fighting is good for the children, right, John?

So why doesn't he do that?

If he asks nicely, Trump will probably pop for the airplane tickets.

Nah.  "War-War" is all hat and no cattle.  Except for the knife he stuck in Caesar's back.

And, according to Sen. Ron Johnson, Bolton or the NYSlimes may well be lying.

Ya think???

Mizzou Students Meet Big Brother

This may actually be good for the country.

The University of Missouri (Mizzou) is forcing students to download a tracking app to their cellphones so that university officials can keep track of which students attend class, and which ones do not. Mizzou officials claim that they are tracking students for their own good.

Students that are new to Mizzou’s campus this semester are required to participate in a tracking program that allows university officials to monitor their class attendance, according to a report by the Kansas City Star....

We can hope that the little darlings will resent and resist this modified Panopticon, now and for the rest of their lives.   That's the only benefit I can think of.

Gorsuch Slaps the Stupid Blackrobes

Trump wins again at SCOTUS.

On Monday, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration's public charge rule to go into effect, striking down a nationwide injunction from a New York judge. The rule allows the government to deny green cards to immigrants who receive public assistance and are therefore considered a "public charge."...

Justice Gorsuch also wrote that the Stupid Blackrobes who issue national injunctions are perverting the role of District Courts and creating national chaos.

"What in this gamesmanship and chaos can we be proud of?" Gorsuch asked, pointedly.
It's about time that someone slapped up those self-inflated popinjay egos.

Think it'll do any good?

Nah.

Dowd-y Characterization Is Wrong, As Usual

Althouse caught this.

But many Americans knew they were voting for a thug. They wanted a thug who would bust up Washington, and they got one."  --Maureen Dowd, NYT

First off, "many Americans" voted AGAINST the worst charlatan and criminal ever to seek the Presidency.

And we did not mind at all that the guy we put in there turned out to be a tough sonofabitch.

"Thug"?

Nope.  Thugs are evil bastards, like Schiff, Pelosi, Brennan, Comey (et. al.)

But Dowd-y doesn't get it.  Acela Corridor and all that.....

Wuhan: Flu HQ and Lots More

Somewhere along the line, someone estimated that 10% of General Motors' product line was produced in Wuhan--which is also producing the very latest "coronavirus" flu.

But GM is hardly the Lone Ranger in Wuhan.

...Wuhan, a city of 11 million people, is one of China's largest industrial hubs and home to its steel industry. The $9.4 billion Chinese automotive company Dongfeng Motor Corp, which is joint venture partners with Nissan and Honda, resides in this city.

Several suppliers and international business operations are based in Wuhan. For example, massive car factories for General Motors, Nissan, Honda, and other corporations are there. Wuhan is home to the business operations for international corporations like Renault SA, PSA Group's Peugeot, IBM, HSBC, Siemens, Walmart, Ericsson and more. The beverage company Anheuser-Busch InBev SA also brews beer in Wuhan....
The city is also home to Red China's biological-weapons research lab.

Thought you'd want to know that.

Outcome-Based Lefty Hegemony

Y'all remember "outcomes-based" education, right?  It was the Very Best Thing back in the '80's/'90's, and pushed hard by the Usual Suspects in ed-yoo-mi-cay-shun.

But "outcome-based" was also a Lefty strategy to take over governance in every State, in D.C., and in lots of private industry, not just 'education' roles.

...This is how the game works. It’s not a contest of ideas, it’s a competition for jobs. As leftists take over human resources offices, reduce the number of conservatives on the faculty to less than 3 percent, make appointments to political office contingent upon compliance with political correctness, and exile troublemakers and nonconformists such as James Woods and Charles Murray, the game as conservatives used to understand it is over. Conservatives lost the war of positions long ago. Woods is a great actor, but so what? Murray is one of the great social scientists of our time, but no academic department would have him.

For the Left, outcomes trump procedure just as politics eclipses intelligence, conscientiousness, and competence....
And they have met their Nemesis:

....Donald Trump understands this. That’s one reason the Left despises him. He typically doesn’t bother to debate ideas and ideals, but this is not anti-intellectualism, as the liberal says. It is, instead, his awareness that politics is now, first and foremost, a battle of persons, not ideologies or tax rates or trade. The Kavanaugh episode proves the point, for this battle was all about the individual (which is one reason why Supreme Court appointments are so heated)....
This is not exactly a mystery-strategy; for years, we've known that personnel = policy.  It's just as true in private industry as it is in Gummint.

And it's equally meaningful in both.

It's long past time for Conservative governors and presidents to pack their governments with actual Conservatives, and I mean PACK them.  Meeting pushback, their response should be SD&STFU.

That's "outcome based" the right way.

But How Will They Make Money???

It is a truism that Apocalyptic Predictions Make Money.  Write a book about Doom, and you'll sell a zillion--assuming it's reasonably well-written.

So when Trump says this:

...“But to embrace the possibilities of tomorrow, we must reject the perennial prophets of doom and their predictions of the apocalypse,” Trump continued. “They are the heirs of yesterday’s foolish fortune-tellers — and I have them and you have them, and we all have them, and they want to see us do badly, but we don’t let that happen.  They predicted an overpopulation crisis in the 1960s, mass starvation in the ’70s, and an end of oil in the 1990s.  These alarmists always demand the same thing: absolute power to dominate, transform, and control every aspect of our lives.”...

How will the Doom Gang make money?  Will AlGore and the rest of the Climate Grifters (and they are legion) have to live like the rest of humanity?

Not likely they'll give that up, friends.  Eventually Trump will leave office, and there will be another Doomsday Clock.

And it will be pushed, hard, by Governments.

Keep buying ammo.

Feds to CA: "Fix Your Abortion Policy or Else!"

We mentioned that Trump is THE most pro-life President evah!!  And we meant it.

The White House may withhold federal funds to California if the state refuses to end a controversial insurance policy regarding abortion. In a statement, Health and Human Services Director Roger Severino argued California’s rule, which requires insurance providers to cover abortions, violates federal law.

Severino said states receiving funding from the department “can’t discriminate against health plans that decline to cover abortions.” He added the rule also forces anti-abortion Americans to pay into plans that cover the procedure....

....the policy violates the Weldon Amendment, which prohibits federal funding to states that discriminate against anti-abortion health care providers....
Nancy is undoubtedly praying for a resolution, but I don't know if Lucifer can help her here.

By the way, this warning is a red flag to New York and Illinois which have similar policies.

That's a helluvalotta Federal cost-savings.

The Usual Journal-Sentinel Bias

The headline reads "Bryan Steil Defends Vote Against Trump Impeachment....."

The reporter asked, and Steil responded.  Frankly, his words were not "defensive," but that's what you expect when you pay $3.00/month for "news", eh?

Did Gwen Moore "defend" her vote FOR it?  How about Pocan?  Ron Kind?

Does the reporter give a flying damn?

Milwaukee JS' Story Missing the Important Part

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel was so busy with the "neo-Nazi" part of the story--the only part they wanted you to read--that they forgot something else.

We'll print the first graf of another news outlet and highlight the Missing Words of the J-S abomination....

In Wisconsin, the dairy capital of the nation, Muslims and Nazis revisited their old alliance when Yousef Barasneh, the son of a Jordanian immigrant active in the Muslim community, joined the Neo-Nazi group, The Base (which shares the meaning of its name with Al Qaeda), and vandalized a synagogue....
And yes, Hitler's Nazis were very cozy with the Muslims in the Middle East.

NOT "Fake News"

There's no doubt about the truth of this picture.

President Trump on Thursday posted a photoshopped image showing his predecessor, Barack Obama, scaling the wall of Trump Tower to spy on him

Lizzie Fauxcahontas Gets Owned

Heh.  Lizzie, the not-Indian, not-fired, kids-in-private-schools, (D) lawyer and harridan, got verbally KO'd by a nice man in Iowa.

Video has emerged showing Senator Elizabeth Warren on Monday being confronted by a man who says her plan to forgive student loan debt would be unfair to people like him who worked hard to pay off what they owed....

...‘My daughter is in school, I saved all my money just to pay student loans, can I have my money back?’ the man says to Warren.

The senator from Massachusetts replies: ‘Of course not.’...

...The man then says: ‘So you’re going to pay for people who didn’t save any money, and those of us that did the right thing get screwed?’
Lizzie was unable to cook up a lie in response, so that's the end of the story.

What a dumbass babe she really is.

Whole Bunch of Comey-Lying Goin' On Here

To the surprise of no one (except Democrat partisans such as the Press), DoJ has found that Comey and his cabal were lying and cheating--and swearing to it--in its FISA applications.  It helps that the FISA court was supine and stupid.

The Department of Justice says that the FBI under disgraced former Director James Comey should have discontinued its secret surveillance on a member of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election because it had “insufficient predication to establish probable cause.”

“Thanks in large part to the work of the Office of the Inspector General, U.S. Department of Justice, the Court has received notice of material misstatements and omissions in the applications filed by the government in the above-captioned dockets,” the letter stated. “DOJ assesses that with respect to the applications in Docket Numbers 17-375 and 17-679, ‘if not earlier, there was insufficient predication to establish probable cause to believe that [Carter] Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power.'”...

So the FISA Court judge(s) didn't ask too many embarrassing questions when ComeyCabal lied and cheated.

Eliminate FISA courts, and have the entire ComeyCabal fitted for striped jumpsuits.

Trump: THE Most Pro-Life President, Evah!

He just keeps on doing what a President of the USA should do.

President Trump will attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday. He will be the first president to do so.

So it won't be some pre-recorded rah-rah followed by a bunch of nothing (hello, Reagan and Bush-Bush!!)

And just for affirmation....

...The Trump administration is supporting the pro-life movement in substantive ways as well. The most recent example is the Justice Department’s filing of a brief supporting an Ohio law that restricts abortion....
Murder, Inc (a/k/a Planned Parenthood) is not quite on the ropes.......yet.  But Trump is determined and he's made it very difficult for those ......ahhh.........people.

Three cheers, and PRAY for the President!!

"Constitution? What Constitution?"--Tokin'Tony

Maybe Tokin'Tony lives in another State (which would explain his very short work-days).  Maybe he thinks that other State's constitution applies here in Wisconsin.

...The governor also plans to create Thursday a nonpartisan redistricting commission —- similar to one that was jettisoned by GOP lawmakers in Evers' proposed budget last year — that will draw new legislative maps after the next U.S. Census. ...

So is there a problem with that?

..."I think the governor just proposed something that's completely unconstitutional," Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau said after Evers' speech. "It's still the responsibility of the Legislature to draw the maps every 10 years based on the census ... the Legislature has to draw the maps whether he likes it or not."...
Where's Tokin'Tony going to find "a commission" that has all that time to waste?

Yah, I know.  Unemployed BernieBros campaign organizers.......

UN Finds New Immigration "Law", Says US Must Comply

This will not surprise anyone.

"It is unlawful for governments to return people to countries where their lives might be threatened by the climate crisis", a landmark ruling by the United Nations human rights committee has found.

The judgment – which is the first of its kind – represents a legal “tipping point” and a moment that “opens the doorway” to future protection claims for people whose lives and wellbeing have been threatened due to global heating, experts say.

Tens of millions of people are expected to be displaced by global heating in the next decade....
Andrew Jackson comes to mind.

Hasn't Trump withdrawn the US from that body of busy ditches?

Speak for Yourself, Casey Chalk

Somebody has a serious projection problem.

If the announcement of Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle’s decision to “step back” from royal duties has reminded us of anything, it’s that Americans are bizarrely fascinated by the British royal family....
Perhaps you are "bizarrely fascinated" by the very royal family that American patriots kicked to the curb in the late 1700's, Mr. Chalk.

Oh, there are American women and girls who follow that story-line, I suppose.  Maybe even a few men.......so to speak.

Take a poll in Red States.  You know:  REAL America, not the coasts.

Sheesh.

UPDATE:  Casey Chalk responds in the combox, averring that he, personally, has no interest in this pile of offal coming from the realm of King George and his successors, whoever they might be.

Election Commission Dems Disappear for County Race

It appears that the "staff" of the Wisconsin Elections Commission can read State election laws very well--in SOME cases.

So on complaint from one candidate for Milwaukee County Exec, two other candidates were removed due to their violation of BLACK LETTER LAW.

(BLACK LETTER LAW is irrelevant and immaterial, however, when there are 240,000+ potential Democrat voters on the line.  "Staff" can't read that law at all.)

But wait!!  Read a bit further, and you find that the Democrat members of the Commission refused to go on the record against the two Democrats tossed from the race.

...The full six-member commission didn't vote on the matter — staff made a recommendation to Administrator Meagan Wolfe. She consulted with Commission Chair Dean Knudson, who approved the decisions.

He decided it was not necessary to call a meeting of the full commission to discuss or vote on the complaints, Wisconsin Elections Commission spokesman Reid Magney said via email. Magney added that the commission usually delegates these kinds of decisions to the administrator.

Knudson is a former Republican state lawmaker....

Nashotah Firm Wants More Food-Stamp Takers

The President wants to tighten up the "Public Charge" rule for immigrants.

Business interests object.  In short, they want more food-stamp and Medicaid users.

...The likely rejection of poor and unhealthy migrants required by the Public Charge rule will hurt business revenues, says the January 16 plea to federal judges by numerous companies, investor groups such as Mark Zuckerberg’s FWD.us, and advocacy coalitions, such as the blue-chip Compete America coalition..."Because [green-card applicants] will receive fewer public benefits under the Rule, they will cut back their consumption of goods and services, depressing demand throughout the economy"
You can't make that up.  That's what they actually said.

So I got curious.  Which completely anti-taxpayer "companies" would sign on to this crap?

First thing I happened to see:

5300 N 33rd St LLC is headquartered in Nashotah, Wisconsin. It has no parent companies, and no publicly-traded company owns 10% or more of its stock.
The registered agent for that LLC is Mike Malatesta.

Other Wisconsin entities?  Sure!

PhotoFinishPlus is headquartered in Burlington, Wisconsin

The rest of the signatories are the Usual Suspects, largely from the West or East Coasts.  The kind of people you want dictating public policy, ya'know.

Dissing the FEEBS, Who Deserve It

The FEEBS put out a tweet about Prohibition, forgetting that they had nothing to do with Al Capone's incarceration.  The FEEBS also got slammed for the stupid.

https://twitter.com/FBI/status/1217786211235921925?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1217786211235921925&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Face.mu.nu%2F

Go ahead.  It's a fun read.

In 50 years or so, the FEEBS may actually regain respect.

Or maybe in 100 years.

Depravity, Fraud, the Clintons, and ........Pp. Francis!

If it were only the Clintons...but the spider-web goes much, much, further.

First off, there is the indictment.

...Essentially what we have is a foreign government meddling in our elections, a presidential candidate knowingly lapping up $4 million, and a pedophile serving as the middle man. Isn’t that something?

Lebanese convicted pedophile George Nader, who goes way back with the Clintons and served as informal envoy to Syria for the Clinton administration, has acted as an advisor to the Middle East for decades. He was playing both sides, with the hope that Hillary Clinton would win.

Nader and CEO of Allied Wallets Ahmed (Andy) Khawaja worked together to provide private parties, in home dinner meetings, and fundraisers, in addition to meeting with the “big lady,” “big sister H,” and “big sister’s husband” in private, otherwise known as Bill and Hillary Clinton. Of course, to enter the world of Clinton pay-to-play, one must pay at the door, so $3.5 million was concealed and funneled through democratic political committees affiliated with Hillary’s 2016 campaign. All the while, George Nader was reporting back to UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) on the progress. In order to try to slide these funds through under the radar, they enlisted staff from Allied Wallets, in addition to using Khawaja’s wife’s name. Khawaja donated hundreds of thousands to the DNC and other democratic committees, as well as to Adam Schiff, Joe Biden, Chris Coons, Dianne Feinstein and numerous others. They were so concerned that if “candidate 2” (Donald Trump) got elected “it would be over for the Arabs.”...
Schiff............Biden...........Coons.............Feinstein.

...George Nader [ ] has a history that resembles that of the devil. What was found on Nader’s phone when he was arrested in June 2019 for charges of child pornography, included images of young boys engaging in sexual acts and bestiality. In 1991, Nader was convicted and sentenced to six months at a halfway house in Maryland, on a felony charge for transporting sexually explicit videos of underage boys in foreign commerce. But the one no media outlets seem to want to include in their reporting, is the one-year prison term in 2003 where he was convicted in Prague for corruption of minors, sexual abuse and impairing minors. He sexually abused 10 young boys. THIS is the man that they have all developed a decades-long relationship with....
Khwaja is also a convict.

...Khwaja and two of his officers settled with the FTC for knowingly processing fraudulent transactions for firms that were known by law enforcement agencies as fraudulent. It wasn’t just about “knowing,” they actually created fake foreign shell companies, dummy websites, and other false information so as to hide it from banks and credit card networks. This was a full blown, very carefully constructed scheme....
So.......why does Pope Francis like him so much?

August 20, 2018

...Andy Khawaja, was awarded a “Medal of Goodness” from the Vatican for himself and his company Allied Wallets giving back to global communities.

December 3, 2018

Andy Khawaja was blessed and honored as an Ambassador for Peace by Pope Francis and the Vatican. He can be seen in photos with the Pope here.
According to Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, Andy was also supported by Rondine Cittadella della Pace, and “Pope Francis showed gratitude for Khawaja’s efforts in supporting children in need and his work with world leaders to spread peace.”...
Rather odd, no?

And just in case you think Pp. Francis' agenda concludes with the Amazon Sham-a-zon......don't.

September 12th

Pope Francis issued a statement inviting world leaders and young people to gather at the Vatican on May 14, 2020, for an event called “Reinventing the Global Educational Alliance.” He stated that “a global educational pact is needed to educate us in universal solidarity and a new humanism.”
He quoted Hillary’s favorite African proverb, “it takes a whole village to educate a child,” suggesting that parents are unable to do so. He went on to state, “an alliance, in other words, between the earth’s inhabitants and our ‘common home’, which we are bound to care for and respect.”...
A choice of friends and honorees which is .........not wise.........and a "new humanism" to boot!!

Ugh.

In Virginia, It's Not Just "Guns"

Bayou of Peter HT for this item.

The new, hard-left (D) majority in Virginia has lots of plans, and the gun-stuff is only a small part.

...The Democrats shot back: they filed bills that repeal voter ID, would allow felons the vote, and more. A LOT more. Senate Bill 399 would give Virginia’s electoral college votes to the winner of the national popular vote. SJ 29 would change election law so that the governor would be elected by majority of votes in congressional districts, not by statewide majority. Basically, what D.C. says goes and the rest of you be damned. SJ 14 would restore voting rights to convicted felons. SJ 8 would allow felons and those declared mentally incompetent to vote. SB 65 - Eliminates photo ID requirement for voting. SJ 6 - Increases the term limit of the governor from 4 to 8 years....

...They had Representative Paul Krizek introduce HB 842, a bill that changes how a candidate is recalled. Instead of needing 10% of the prevailing vote to recall their seat, now you need 25%. Oh, and instead of having 120 days to file all those petitions for a recall, they’ll only have 60 days....
Last night, some ex-municipal prosecutor who has a nationally-syndicated radio show kvetched and whined that "un-Constitutional laws will be overturned by the Courts", so all this protesting sturm und drang is silly and unnecessary.  Spoken like a true lawyer, but horribly wrong.

Which Court?  The Court which converted "tax" into "fine"?  The Court which authorizes killing the pre-born, or sanctifies unnatural sexual activity as "marriage"?

THAT Court?

And if you think that Heller has the answers, you are dead wrong.

...The issue that Scalia left future courts to grapple with is what constitutes a protected weapon. He wrote that the Constitution protects weapons that could be carried and were in common use. What he didn't say in the opinion—and what the court has deferred ruling on—is whether an AR-15 fits the bill for a common weapon. On one hand, it's certainly not rare. There are more than a million in circulation. On the other hand, it's not as ubiquitous as ordinary rifles and handguns. At some point, the John Roberts court will wrestle with the questions Scalia left unanswered, or the justices will leave it to the political process....
The point?  Heller did NOT address the real reason for the 2A, which was to keep tyrants at bay (or dead, take your choice.)

"Personal protection" is nice, but like "hunting," it's not the main issue--not by a long shot.  And trusting Roberts' Court to come to the right conclusion.............that's just unicorn farts and pixie dust.

Right On, Right On.....

Both before and after you've read the post immediately below this, here's what you should know:

Think Brennan's the Problem? You Don't Know the HALF of It

If you want a more comprehensive list of the spies, traitors, seditionists, and general scum occupying high places in the US intelligence community, this report has plenty of names and connections for you.

By the way, Gen. Mike Flynn was not only correct; he knew who was who AND was working to expose the networkThat's why he's been ground into the dirt by the Obama cabal.

Needless to say, that would have exposed Obama, Al Gore, James Woolsey, Brennan, Comey, Clapper, et. al. and especially exposed the blatantly illegal spying Obama's bunch were conducting against Donald Trump.

Buy more ammo.

Is Evers "Big Tobacco's" Friend?

While Evers' proposals are not yet public, here's what he's said.

Gov. Tony Evers hopes to combat the youth vaping epidemic with a sweeping package of bills, public awareness campaigns and regulatory changes that seek to prevent sales to minors, ban e-cigarette use at schools and prevent manipulative advertising to young people....

... Evers is directing the state Department of Health Services to:
  • Work with the Department of Public Instruction and local school districts in an effort to develop and enforce anti-vaping policies and train teachers on identifying e-cigarettes and other vaping products.
  • Launch a public health campaign aimed at parents about the dangers of youth vaping.
  • Develop and implement an outreach plan to work with doctors and other health care providers to identify vaping-related illnesses and educate youth about the risks of using e-cigarettes and other vaping products.
Evers called on the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to:
  • Issue a consumer alert about the hazards of youth vaping.
  • Update consumer protection information to make it easier to report illegal e-cigarette and vaping product sales to young people.
  • Investigate manipulative advertising and scams targeting youth.
Yah, so ol'Tony wants the little darlings to stop vaping.

But it's not just "vaping" that's causing the health problems.

...Most of those lung illness cases have been linked to vaping products containing THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, federal officials say. And vitamin E acetate, an ingredient frequently added to bootleg THC vaping products, has been found to be a "very strong culprit" in the outbreak of lung injuries, according to the CDC....
The little darlings are trying to smoke dope without rolling their own.

Big Tobacco is unalterably opposed to vaping, for the obvious reason:  it's a path to quitting smoking.  We all know that the little darlings can get their mitts on tobacco very easily.  They can get their hands on guns, for that matter.

The Governor is not a very bright bulb.  But maybe someone can help him add 2+2 here.

How "Yuge" Is It?

While the White House is gleeful over these numbers, I'm not excited.

58% Of Attendees at Trump’s Wisconsin Rally Were NOT Republicans, Up from 43% in Ohio

My suspicion is this:  there are a LOT of 'independent' voters in Wisconsin.  They've never joined either Party, or if they did, membership lapsed years ago.  So it's no big trick to find "not Republican" party members here.

That doesn't mean that Trump is not drawing from traditional (D) voters, of course.  He is.  They're called "Reagan Republicans," just like the Teamsters in 1980.

Brad Polumbo: Really, Really, Dumb

Was alerted to this Dumb Opinion by RedState.

Rather than fisking the entire thing, I'll just show you how utterly stupid this 'conservative' writer really is.

The right way to fight anti-gun laws is in the courts. If they really do violate the Second Amendment — and I sure think they do — then the courts will eventually rule as much, even if the issue must go all the way to the conservative-majority Supreme Court. I sincerely doubt most of this anti-gun agenda would survive legal scrutiny if properly challenged by Second Amendment supporters in the judicial system.

If, however, these laws somehow are upheld by judges even after appeal, then local government officials have no right to defy them. Refusal to abide by laws properly passed through our electoral system and then upheld by the judiciary … well, that’s just anarchy. It’s an affront to the rule of law and would turn our system upside down....

......said Patrick Henry, NEVER.  Said the patriots at Lexington and Concord........NEVER.

NEVER.

The Second Amendment is all about pushing tyrants into the ocean.  That's why they are not "modern sporting rifles;they are military-grade anti-tyrant devices.

Exactly what the Second Amendment guarantees.

Bradley, it's time for you to change your diaper and take a nap.

Once Again....Bernie!!!

Just a reminder of what Bernie's campaign is really all about.

(By the way, Warren's lying about Bernie.  But who cares??)

UW-M Held Up As Fool in FedCourt

"Fool" is a title which UW-Milwaukee has earned.

This "pronoun usage guide" pushed by UW-M's Wokesters was part of a 5th Circuit decision.

The decision?  "Nope, dope."

Yes, There WERE Iraqi WMD's

The AOSHQ mentions this story.

American troops found nearly 5,000 abandoned chemical weapons in Iraq from 2004 to 2011, but their discoveries were kept secret by the U.S. government,...

On at least six occasions, American troops and American-trained Iraqi troops were wounded by the abandoned munitions, but news of the encounters was neither shared publicly nor widely circulated among the troops, the victims told the Times. Others said they were told to be vague or deceptive about what they found.

"'Nothing of significance’ is what I was ordered to say,” Jarrod Lampier, a retired Army major, said of the 2006 discovery of 2,400 nerve-agent rockets at a former Republican Guard compound, the largest chemical weapons discovery of the war....
The Ace blogger speculates that the Bush Administration was, perhaps, the dumbest bunch of clucks ever to occupy Washington.

Perhaps.

Remember that GWBush, like his Daddy and Mommy, were Certified Members of the Deep State.  So the speculation should be on this question:  why did the Deep State want this kept secret?

Hmmmm?

Six Illegals Rape and Prostitute Teen in Green Lake County

Somehow this news item gets ZERO comment from the Big-Mouth babe at Voces de la Frontera.

That's because she doesn't really give a flying fart about Hispanics; her interest lies in disrupting society as a whole.

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office has arrested six people in connection with a sex trafficking case, according to a news release.

Law enforcement officials said they received a 911 call Nov. 28 from a juvenile on the run. According to police, she had escaped from a residence where she was being sex trafficked....

...Police believe all of the suspects are undocumented immigrants from Guatemala.
Don't hold your breath waiting for a local "nooz" outlet to ask Christine Neumann-Ortiz about this story.  They really don't care, either.

Krason's Take on Pubbie Platform

Prof. Krason of Franciscan U. takes a look at Pubbie Platform and how it aligns with Catholic social teachings--you remember, the stuff from Leo XIII and John Paul II.

In general terms, it appears that the Pubbies endorsed many of the principles of Catholic social teaching in their 2012 (Romney-Ryan) campaign.  Trump didn't really change that platform.  (Read the entire essay; it's worth the few minutes.)

But he is actually working to implement parts of it.

...on economics and social welfare policy the thinking of conservatism and the Republican Party (as seen in the 2012 platform), to quote my book, “conforms pretty well to Catholic social teaching.”

So, the Republican Party’s closeness to Catholic social teaching on economics, while it has certainly undergone an evolution, did not begin with the Trump candidacy and presidency....
As the Democrat Party marches off the cliff of atheist socialism, and as the Libertarian/Extreme Capitalists/Amoralists become irrelevant to the national interest, Trump--of all people--emerges as the Great Unifier.

Stay tuned!

Maistelman's Mis-placed Confidence

In the middle of a news item that we read for comic relief we find this:

"We are confident the Wisconsin Elections Commission will uphold the law and our challenges," said Lipscomb's attorney, Michael Maistelman.
"Wisconsin Elections Commission" and "uphold the law" is a contradiction in terms.

Sorry, Mike.  You have a problem.

There WILL Be False Flags in Virginia

There will be a 'gun rights' rally in Virginia on Monday.  That's because when the (D) Party got complete control of lawmaking in that State, they immediately introduced legislation to eradicate the Second Amendment.  None of it will prevail in Federal courts, but that's not the point.  The point is to enshrine tyranny because they can.

Anyhow.

It is reported that the violent branch of the (D) Party, "Antifa", (successor to the KKK) will be marching with those who wish to maintain Second Amendment rights.  The reporter in the linked article seems to think this is a good thing.

He's wrong.

"Antifa"'s existence at this event is strictly for purposes of initiating "false flag" violence, because there is nothing the (D) Party wants more than violence which can be blamed on "gun rights deplorables."

One more thing:  don't even think about taking the MSM' s word for what happens there.

UPDATE:  As I said.... False Flag all the way.

Birds of a Feather: Pocan, "Burn It Down" Bernie

It is reported that Comrade Sanders will NOT fire his Iowa campaign worker who expressed admiration for the Gulag and who promised that if Comrade Sanders is not the (D) nominee, 'Milwaukee will burn.'

Not only will he not fire the guy--the Comrade won't even disavow the remarks.

So what does Mark Pocan (Madistan) do?

Rep. Mark Pocan.... announced Thursday that this year he is endorsing Bernie Sanders.
Of COURSE that's in red font.

Perhaps Cong. Pocan will bring gasoline and bottles to the Democrat Convention to actualize "Burn-it-Down" Bernie's promises?

Note well:  the inflammatory organizer observed that many of his fellow workers in the Bernie campaign were even more 'leftist' than he is.

Where does Comrade Pocan fit on that scale?  Hmmmmmmmmmmm???

Deep State, Vatican Edition

Over here, Donald Trump is more-or-less the "anti-Deep State" guy.

In the Vatican, it appears that Pp. Francis 1 IS the "Deep State" guy.  Benedict XVI was the "anti-Deep State guy" over there.

(That description ignores a lot of subtleties and cross-currents, but you get the idea.  This blogger imparts the same information, differently.)

So it got .........ahhh..........interesting.  The Deep State in the Church (which may have included Rembert Weakland on the low-smarts/bit-player side) was getting worried about B-16's orthodoxy and popularity.  So--somehow--B-16 was 'inspired' to resign, paving the way for a more accommodating Pope.

That is Francis I.

But that's not going very smoothly; a high-level and very knowledgeable Vatican State department guy, Mgr. Vigano, published a few lengthy letters which spilled a lot of beans--and he's running for his life at this time as a result.

Francis' teachings are often not consistent with Catholic tradition, nor with Scripture; as a result, many Catholics are simply ignoring him.  Even worse for him, the Church's finances are going from bad to much, much, worse; the Deep State players who have been looting the Church are out of his control.  At the same time, wealthy US Catholics have figured out they were played for patsies and wallets are snapping shut.

(My dear Prot pals:  this does NOT mean that the Church has become defectible; she is still the un-spotted Bride of Christ.)

But there are a whole lot of tumors eating away at Her.

Bishops Demand Heroic Virtue in Spain

Apparently the Bishops of Spain now require a three-year "marriage formation" period of instruction before marriage.

They have no clue about normal (heterosexual) human behavior.

Either the Bishops are requiring heroic virtue from these young, engaged, people, or they are tacitly licensing fornication.

Come to think of it, isn't that the license issued in "The Joy of Sex"Amoris Laetitia?

Cory Mason: History-Challenged

The Mayor of Racine--a mind-numbed robot Democrat, comments on the water level in Lake Michigan.

...“As this happens more and more, and as the climate is changing and the lake levels are rising building a resilient lakefront is going to be something that we’re going to have to think about for the future," Mason said....

We've mentioned before that the water level in Lake Michigan is similar to the level during a part of Dave Schultz's term as Milwaukee County Exec.  But history is irrelevant to mind-numbed Democrats.

(The "reporter" clearly pushed "climate change" onto Mason and some random woman; both of them mentioned it as though there is an irrefutable climate-based link between water-level and "climate."  That's a fallacy, of course; the irrefutable link is between precipitation and lake level.  It's reasonable to assume going forward that this "reporter" will poison the well on other stories.  Beware!!)
