Hey, Vicki!! It Ain't All About the Money.....

Ms McKenna is ranting and hit the "extra estrogen!!!" button before launch.

She just can't understand how Evers is in a virtual tie with Walker.

Listing the unemployment rate, the jobs available, the sorta-reduced taxes and the successful management of the Wisconsin budget, she exclaims--loudly--that she just doesn't get it.

Yah, well, maybe you don't.  Your problem is that you understand only "economics," and that only "economics" counts in an election.

And you are wrong.

Of course I'll vote for Walker.  But I have to get past his dead-to-the-world personality, his cheesy (and near-pukeworthy) advertisements, and his "I like what I did.  Don't you like it too??  I'll do more of that." campaign promise.  Pardon me for asking, Scott, but WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???

IOW, Vicki, the guy is a bore with zero message.

His opponent is, truly, a nob.  He has horrible ideas even before you get to his spend-lots-and-tax-lots campaign promises.  He won't actually govern; his puppetmasters will, while he shows up at the office for a solid 3-4 hours of .......ahhh......showing up.  He's a bump on the log.  A mushroom.  An idiot.

But he makes promises!!  He has goals which he articulates (more or less.)  And he's just as likeable as Walker, at least on TeeVee.

By the way Vicki, your claim that a ban on hollow-points would completely stop deer hunting in Wisconsin is ridiculous.  An "expanding" bullet does NOT have to be a hollow-point.  Look it up instead of sounding like a twerp.

GM's Preparing for Something

The other day, we noted that GM's CEO (and ex-HR manager) Mary Barra wrote a letter to Congress demanding a mandate for electric cars (IIRC, she wants 20% of the fleet to be all-electric or hybrid.)

At the time, we suspected that GM was looking for a bailout.  They are, if for no other reason that mandated electric-car sales also means mandated electric-car production, and not every producer on Earth is capable of that.

Now comes more interesting GM news:  they have issued "buyout" notices to 18,000 employees.

...The company, after inquiries about the offer, confirmed the plans as "proactive" measures to address future headwinds that GM expects as it invests in autonomous and electrified vehicles and as auto sales in North America and China -- its largest markets -- slow....

Imagine that!!

Hey! What Are You NOT Hearing About??

Maybe you haven't noticed, but you haven't heard a word about "the MAGA bomber" in the last few days, have you?

That's because there are a lot of ......ahhh........inconsistencies and internal contradictions in the "facts" presented by the Lying Media.

Just sayin'.....

Jamaica: One Big Rape-Room

Just in case your wife and/or daughters want to spend some time in Jamaica--don't let them.

They're safer in drug-lord territory:  Mexico.  Well, maybe not there, either.

There's always Canada!!

Paul Ryan's Wrong (Again): Birthright Citizenship

It's unfortunate that Paul Ryan is wrong about so many things.  On the other hand, he'll soon "retire" to a lobbying slot paying high six figures and be able to live in his walled-in compound.  Walls for him, but not for Normies like us.  Thanks, Paul, you twit.

Anyhow, Mark Levin simply destroys Ryan's silly squalling about "amendments" and "congress."

The American people are being told by the political class that there is nothing they can do to prevent future waves of illegal immigrants from coming here, unilaterally declaring political and legal jurisdiction, and securing citizenship for their children. We are told that there is no recourse through our elected representatives to prevent illegal immigrants from gaining a legal foothold in this country, all because of a footnote from the most radical anti-originalist justice of this century, William Brennan Jr.

If you are scratching your head wondering how our own Constitution can be used as a suicide pact against us by foreign countries, you are not missing anything....

There is a LOT to this essay and it's not reducible to 3 grafs, of course.  Levin knows more about the Framers and their thought than anybody, especially dinky little members of Congress who rose up from McDonald's.

Following ratification of the 14th Amendment, there were a few court cases.  The one currently in force is WongThis 1898 decision overturned TWO previous decisions:

...Slaughterhouse Cases and Elk v. Wilkins (1884). In those cases, the Supreme Court made it clear that the original intent of the Fourteenth Amendment was primarily to grant equal rights to freed black slaves and that the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” required that the petitioner for citizenship be “completely subject to their political jurisdiction, and owing them direct and immediate allegiance.” These cases excluded children born to foreign diplomats and American Indians and were quite clear that the meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment would not include all children of immigrants – most of whom would have been covered by less political jurisdiction than even those born on Indian reservations, which were partially under U.S. jurisdiction....
(By the way, did you notice that the MSM coverage of this matter ran graphics of the 14th Amendment highlighting its text EXCEPT that phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof"?  Huh.  Wonder how that happened.....)

Anyhow, the Wong decision has a couple of serious negative consequences besides the utterly ludicrous 'born here, citizen here'  favored by the walled-in Paul Ryan.

...By adopting jus soli as a constitutional mandate (not just policy) for automatic citizenship based on soil, and not jus sanguinis – right of blood – all children born to American citizens abroad would not automatically be citizens, as noted by then-Chief Justice Fuller in his dissent in Wong Kim Ark....

...Fuller further noted in his masterful dissent that by mandating automatic citizenship for all children of immigrants – no matter the circumstances – the Fourteenth Amendment would have the power “to cut off the legislative power from dealing with the subject.”  Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution grants Congress plenary power over naturalizations.  Fuller observes that “the right of a nation to expel or deport foreigners who have not been naturalized or taken any steps toward becoming citizens of a country is as absolute and unqualified as the right to prohibit and prevent their entrance into the country.”...
Note again:  the Wong decision removes Congressional oversight in immigration matters.  Ryan doesn't even know that.  But hey.....he's getting out, thank God.

(By the way, the Framers desired "consent-based citizenship" and the Constitution AND the 14th reflect that.  There are some 'conservative' bloggers who don't oppose that.  They too are wrong.)

...there is a huge difference between the legal permanent resident who was the subject of the 1898 court case and the illegal immigrants of today, even if we were to fully accept the concept of birthright citizenship based on nothing more than geographical jurisdiction. The justices in Wong awarded the child citizenship because his Chinese immigrant parents were “domiciled” in America (legally, before the ban on Chinese immigration). As Prof. Eastman notes, “’Domicile’ is a legal term of art; it means ‘a person’s legal home,’ according to Black’s law dictionary, and is often used synonymously with citizenship.” Undoubtedly, those here in contravention to our laws, unlike Wong Kim Ark’s parents, cannot unilaterally declare domicile in our country....

That's a difference that Paul Ryan (and the entire Democrat Party) choose to ignore, meaning that Paul Ryan just put his potato-famine forebears in the same group as ILLEGAL aliens.

Your great-grandpa should spit on you, Paul, you idiot.

Go read the rest of the essay.  Be prepared to argue with Congress-idiots like Ryan.  It's about time he got slapped up a bit, ain'a?

We Decline. No Regrets At All

It appears that the current Pope and his current flippity-floppity fabulous ta-ta!! advisers want to establish standards by which blogs earn the title "Certified Catholic."

Somehow, I'll manage without that.  I will never be more Catholic than XXXYYXX, of course.  But I'll never be the "Successor of Christ," either.

Whitey Bulger's Death: Not Co-Incidence

Apparently, Whitey Bulger was going to rat out a bunch of FBI jackwads.

So he became dead.

Robert Mueller, the Most Honorable Law Enforcement Officer Since Superman, was very tight with Whitey; in fact, Mueller put someone in prison for YEARS as an accomodation to Bulger.

Not Seeing the Whole Picture, Bearing Arms!

We read this worried vignette from Bearing Arms.

...Yet, for the first time in 20 years, pro-gun groups have been outspent by their anti-gun opponents during an election cycle....

Oh, I dunno.  Have you looked inside our ammunition-storage lockers?  Noticed the new, larger, powder magazines?  High-speed reloading machinery?   Umpty-thousands of bullets and brass?

Look at the Whole Picture, friend!!

What IS It With Nissan Owners?

Having spent a fair amount of time on Interstates around the Great Lakes recently, I have a question:  what in Hell is the matter with people driving Nissan Altima and/or Maxima sedans?

Apparently none of them regard high-speed maneuvers as potentially dangerous--and I am not a Freddy Fart-a-Long driver, by the way....

But ya'know, not everybody's prepared to smash the brake pedal to allow you to drive like a moron....

Arguing With Lefties?

Earlier, we mentioned that Lefties are--actually--NOT on 'the same mental planet' as Righties.

C. S. Lewis knew that, and has a bit of narrative in his Screwtape Letters about that.

“You young devils,” says Satan, the wily old misanthrope, wise in the ways of man, “believe you can damn the human vermin with reasoned arguments. Reason, as you should know, and for your own sake you had better remember, is of the Enemy. When we fight with it, we fight with his own weapons. What we want in that line, as our dear friends the Sophists have shown us,” and here a couple of the youngsters snigger, as one of them waves a kind of spiritual drumstick in the air, once belonging to a fellow named Dewey, “are tangles of argument without reason, and the more abstract they are, and the less dependent upon that stew of mud and muck called Nature, the better.* No,” he says, “man is an irrational animal. Are you taking notes, Asmodeus?”

A demon with a fishy fume about him puts down his piece of charcoal, which he had been using to draw a caricature of his instructor, not entirely flattering.

“Man is an irrational animal. He acts by the promptings of what he is pleased to call his heart. The heart of man is wicked from his youth, as the Enemy himself has said. But we may not depend upon it without action on our part. The Enemy has also said, and in this case our espionage department has determined that the statement expresses some measure of the truth, that he made man in his image. Man is a sub-creator, as that vile peddler of fabulist goodness Tolkien said. As the Enemy makes man, man makes men, in his art, his imagination. Our task is to turn that heart into a factory of idols. It is not a difficult one. Give us the imagination,” he says, with a curl of the lip, “and we will gladly concede everything else.

“Let the Enemy have all the reasons, every catechism, every seminary, and a hundred thousand ministers who believe every last jot and tittle of that vile book whose name I will not deign to utter. Let him enjoy a few political victories now and then. So what if the Soviet Union fell? Let China fall too. Give us the imagination, and we will do our danse macabre on the grave of Christendom, now and evermore.”...
*It would be unfair (but really, really, gratifying) to posit that Satan was thinking of lawyers when he remarked on 'argument without reason....[not] dependent on ....Nature.'  On the other hand, why not?

Bear that in mind.  One can persuade a Lefty of damn near any proposition, so long as that Lefty feeeeeelzzzzz good about it.

Mary Barra's Desperate Cry for Gummint Bailout

Why, yes, GM needs another bailout.

Why else would Mary Barra (a competent HR person) ask for a Fed mandate for electric trains cars?

As IBD notes, GM's record for quality this year is not so hot.  And GM's ability to sell the Bolt (all-electric) and Volt (hybrid) is very, very, very lousy.  They don't really sell any except to dilettantes and people who work for other Gummint-Subsidy companies, like G.E.

Golf carts are nice, in their place.  Actual Americans prefer mobility with their $37 grand, not 240 miles chargers Uber........

Not to worry.  Barra was talked into this by the Ford people.  Trust me, they're next.

Cass Sunstein: Fabulist Producing Violence

Several years ago, a local attorney of the Libertarian bent opined that Sunstein was 'a reasonable guy, not a hard-core Lefty.'

Well, that Libertarian lawyer was wrong then and he's even wrong-er now.

...Is President Donald Trump responsible, in some sense, for the mailing of bombs to Hillary Clinton and other Democratic leaders? Is he responsible, in some sense, for the slaughter at the Pittsburgh synagogue?

If we are speaking in terms of causation, the most reasonable answer to both questions, and the safest, is: We don’t really know. More specifically, we don’t know whether these particular crimes would have occurred in the absence of Trump’s hateful and vicious rhetoric (including his enthusiasm for the despicable cry, “Lock her up!”).

But it’s also safe, and plenty reasonable, to insist that across the American population, hateful and vicious rhetoric from the president of the United States is bound to increase risks of violence. Because of that rhetoric, the likelihood of this kind of violence is greater than it would otherwise be. The president is responsible for elevating the risk that people will try to kill Democrats and others seen by some of his followers as “enemies of the people” (including journalists and Jews)....

Oh, I see.

Except I don't.  This President has never said "the Jews" are "enemies of the people."  That remark cannot be found with a simple Google search.   Period.

Instead, what we have is this:  Cass Sunstein is fomenting violence against the President of the US, and against that President's supporters.

Simple.  Cass Sunstein--among many, many others--is lying like Hell about Trump and about his supporters.  This is not new; lying about political opponents has been going on since forever.   When the President calls out the press for lying, Sunstein and his coterie say the President is 'fomenting violence.'  When George Soros, a Nazi apparatchik who is actively opposed to Western civilization (that "God" stuff really annoys him), Sunstein and his coterie say that opposing Soros is 'fomenting violence against the Jews.'

And by the way, Cass:  Hillary Clinton is a flagrant repeat criminal and her crimes include multiple violations of the Espionage Act, profiteering as a Government employee, and reckless disregard for the lives of US citizens at Benghazi.  And those are just the recent crimes.

So yah, Cass:  LOCK HER UP!!

Go ahead, asshole.  Say that's "violent."

More Mike McCarthy??

The topic has been discussed all over Wisconsin for the last month or so.

It's time for McCarthy to go.  He doesn't win the big games and damn near loses the little ones, this with the best QB in the game and a pretty damn good defense.

Getting stuffed on a ONE-YARD run for a TD?

The Hollywood Bomber

It was really all Hollywood.  Bombs that do not go "boom," clocks which don't have a function, and a mystery substance, which, according to the Big Feeb, can make "heat and light."  Possibly.  Under certain circumstances, none of which were present in the Hollywood bombs.

Then, as we noted below, this is the least "Republican" creature we've ever heard of.

Fifty-fifty he's a (D) plant or he will show signs of a recent lobotomy.

Or--just as likely,  BOTH.

Ockham: Saint of Lefty "Justice"

In an essay describing the ugly problems facing the Catholic Church, the author gives us a gem:

...There is one factor however that has not been widely discussed or understood, but that has had an effect that is second to none in giving rise to the scandalous situation that now engrosses our attention. This is the influence within the Church of a conception of authority as a form of tyranny, rather than as being based on and constituted by law. This essay will present the nature of this conception, describe how it came to be influential, and explore some of its more significant results.

The intellectual origins of this conception of authority and obedience are largely to be found in nominalist theology and philosophy. William of Ockham notoriously came down on one side of the Euthyphro dilemma by asserting that good actions are good simply because they are commanded by God, and that God could make idolatry, murder, and sodomy good, and abstention from these actions evil, if he commanded that they be performed. This conception of divine authority lends support to a tyrannical understanding of authority in general as based on the arbitrary will of the possessor of power, rather than on law. ...

Gee.  Where have we heard "TYRANT!!!!" before?

It is certainly the case in the current Border Wars that any enforcement of US law is considered "TYRANNICAL!!!"  "FASCIST!!!!" (etc.)  And it is also the case that those who are thinking about keeping "trans" men out of girls' bathrooms, or objecting to queer "marriage," or abortion on demand, are TYRANNICAL!! and FASCIST!!!

But that's simply not the case.

...A law-based understanding of authority, in contrast, holds that law derived from the nature of the good provides the source of the authority of a ruler,...
The nature of The Good.
What a concept!

The Sniff-Test on Bomb-Man

You should read the whole post because there's lots more there.

But here's just a bit of it, discussing the *HUH*?

...Lights every light on the “not a Republican” list:
living in his van

Lives in such Republican hotbed states as NY, NJ, MN....

I'll go along with "nutbag," but I'm not so easy to persuade that he's a "MAGA."  So do what I said in the first place:  READ THE REST.

The VERY Un-Civil Left

Hot Air provided a handy (partial) list of incivilities of the Left.  We'll also talk about the genesis of all this stuff.

...On the Left, James Hodgkinson, a far left, pro-Bernie Sanders activist, grabbed a rifle and opened fire on congressional Republicans practicing for the annual baseball game in 2017. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was shot and could have died. It was a mass assassination attempt. In 2018, Minnesota GOP candidates have been assaulted. The spokesperson for the Minnesota Democratic Party said that Republicans should go to the guillotine. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have been harassed by mob-like behavior. Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Democrats should kick Republicans. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has egged on her supporters to harass Trump officials. Oh,and let's not forget the ricin letters sent to Secretary of Defense James Mattis or the death threats hurled at Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)....

And he DID forget the very damaging attack on Sen. Rand Paul by a crazed Lefty neighbor.

How did this crap start?

Trump was elected partly because he was not Hillary, and partly because of his remarkable empathy with the 'forgotten man (and woman)' in flyover country.  That "forgotten man" was sick and tired of watching talking heads yammer about 'prosperity' while the country's manufacturing base decamped to Red China.  He was sick and tired of smarmy wierdos wearing black robes telling him that perverts could go potty with his daughter, and of snot-nosed brainless toads telling him what "virtue" really is, from their TeeVee studio perches.  (HotAir has an excellent example in the post!!)

And the forgotten man (and woman) knew that Mordor on the Potomac, and all its pomps, and all its works, were fetid.  So the Judges, the Snot-Nosed, and the faceless drones of D.C.'s managerial class all needed a good smack across the head.

He started with the Trump 2X4, right on the nose.  The jackass is kicking back, as one might expect; but the fun has not yet begun in earnest.  "Earnest" is not something the Smarmies, the Snot-Noses, and the Drones are prepared for, by the way.  Let's hope they just STFU soon, eh?

Now It's "Obstruction", Eh, Rosenschtein??

Zman reports that Rosenschtein, the rat-faced dweeb in D.C., has changed his story.

The first reason Rosenschtein gave for redacting the FISA-warrant material was that they 'would endanger national security.'

But the rat-faced dweeb changed his story.

Now, release of the unredacted docs will 'interfere with Mueller's investigation.'

Or--as we all know--it will reveal how many layers of DoJ and FBI are corrupt to the bone.  One example will be Rosenschtein, of course.

Tariffs Are The End of the World: Ramirez and Isbister

Pretty much it's time to just pack up the plant and go home.  Sell the place for pennies on the dollar, hope you can pay off the banks, retire to a small shack in West Texas, work as a dishwasher.

Or so you'd think, reading the context-less facts typed out in the Propaganda Biz Times essay here.

...“We’re just setting ourselves up for constrained economic growth,” said Mary Isbister, president of Mequon-based GenMet Corp.

Isbister joined Husco International president and chief executive officer Austin Ramirez...

(Bill Isbister's daughter (in-law?) and Gus Ramirez's son.)  OK, then.

...According to data released by Tariffs Hurt the Heartland, Wisconsin companies paid roughly $3.8 million in tariffs on $408.5 million in goods imported from June to August of 2017.   ....with the new tariffs imposed this year Wisconsin companies paid more than $58 million in tariffs.

Oh. about the REST of the facts??

...The U.S. has imposed tariffs on just under $300 billion of imports. Forty-seven billion, or around 15 percent, of those tariffs are on the steel and aluminum tariffs, which Trump mentioned. The bulk of the rest is aimed at just one country, China. The remainder are on individual products, such as solar panels and washing machines. A bit here and there for specific violations of U.S. anti-dumping laws. For almost all other imports and all other trading partners, Trump has not increased tariffs at all.
The total dollar value of goods the Trump administration has imposed tariffs on is small when compared to the $2.9 trillion of imported goods and service the U.S. took in last year. The new tariffs range from 10 percent to 25 percent on around 10 percent of all of our imports. Call it a 1 percent to 2.5 percent import tariff, at least in the short term. That’s not exactly disruptive. It’s certainly not a screeching halt to global trade....

(US Steel announced that it would be awarding pay-increases of 3.5%/year for the next four years in a row at its Gary, IN., plant--that announcement came about 10 days ago or so. )

When you make the decision to source raw materials from a Communist/Mercantilist state, and your choice means that US workers will be un-employed or lose the race to the cost of living, we are not particularly sympathetic.

As to "day-to-day" pricing?  Neither of these "Chief Executives" is old enough to remember it, but it's happened before.  Get out your history books and check under "Inflation, US."  Then learn how to manage a supply chain which benefits US workers.

Dan Schutte Convention in Milwaukee

Oh, sorry.....

It's the "My Little Pony" convention, featuring music which Dan Schutte used later as part of a "mass" he composed for use in the Catholic Church.

Confused?  You should be, if you're actually a Catholic.

"N"ot "B"eing "C"andid?

Yah, so:  was NBC News ever totally honest?  We know that Huntley-Brinkley were shady some of the time.  But now we know that it could have been ALL of the time.

CNN sucks.

NBC?  Sunk, just like "A"lways "B"eing "C"linton and See-Bee-Ess.

Brazil: The MSM's Trump Template Rides Again

And away they go!!

Brazil now gets the Trump Template Treatment from the usual Left-O-Wack press suspects!!

It's all there:  families splitting over politics, homosexuals being "hated"--prospectively, of course--and the "divisive!!"  "embittered!!" "rancorous!!!!!!!!" adjectives flow again.

Wait, wait!!  There's more!!

"Distrust," "paranoia," and "party hooligans" are back in the word processors, too!!!

Yes, I read this stuff.  I do it so you don't have to.  You'll thank me later, right??

Daily Caller's "Average Americans": Wut??

The Daily Caller is a fresh face news outlet which has impressive investigative credits (e.g., the Wasserman Schultz/Paki national security breach.)

But when Daily Caller interviews denizens of D.C.--and then calls them 'average Americans'--it is to make one laugh out loud.

Mordor on the Potomac does not have 'average Americans' available for interviews, as the results of the Caller's 'survey' make painfully clear.

Try again.

This IS the Democrat Party!

I wanted to honestly represent the Democrat Party, and was led to this advertisement for them by Raconteur.  He says the ad "Crushes it!!" and he's absolutely correct.

See it here:

Maybe in 10 years I'll learn how to embed video.  Maybe I'll actually care.  Or not.

You're Right. They Don't Get It.

If you're a conservative, you've been in oral or written/pixellated discussions with Lefty types and you've come away wondering if they're on another planet.

Actually, they are.

In his remarkable book The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion, Haidt recalls a telling experiment. He and his colleagues Brian Nosek and Jesse Graham sought to discover how well conservative and what Haidt terms ‘liberal’ (ie: progressive) students understood one another by having them answer moral questions as they thought their political opponents would answer them. “The results were clear and consistent,” remarks Haidt. “In all analyses, conservatives were more accurate than liberals.” Asked to think the way a liberal thinks, conservatives answered moral questions just as the liberal would answer them, but liberal students were unable to do the reverse. Rather, they seemed to put moral ideas into the mouths of conservatives that they don’t hold. To put it bluntly, Haidt and his colleagues found that progressives don’t understand conservatives the way conservatives understand progressives. This he calls the ‘conservative advantage,’ and it goes a long way in explaining the different ways each side deals with opinions unlike their own. People get angry at what they don’t understand, and an all-progressive education ensures that they don’t understand.
Haidt’s research echoes arguments made by Thomas Sowell in A Conflict of Visions and Steven Pinker in The Blank Slate. Both Sowell and Pinker contend that conservatives see an unfortunate world of moral trade-offs in which every moral judgment comes with costs that must be properly balanced. Progressives, on the other hand, seem to be blind to, or in denial about, these trade-offs, whether economic and social; theirs is a utopian or unconstrained vision, in which every moral grievance must be immediately extinguished until we have perfected society. This is why conservatives don’t tend to express the same emotional hostility as the Left; a deeper grasp of the world’s complexity has the effect of encouraging intellectual humility. The conservative hears the progressive’s latest demands and says, “I can see how you might come to that conclusion, but I think you’ve overlooked the following…” In contrast, the progressive hears the conservative and thinks, “I have no idea why you would believe that. You’re probably a racist.
--quoting Matthew Blackwell at Dreher's column

So yah.  You ARE the reasonable one in the room.  Sadly, it's likely that it will remain that way forever; Leftism appears to be incurable.

Obozo, Yesterday's News

He drew about 1500 people in Las Vegas

One thousand five hundred.  He didn't fill the girls' BB gym, for crying out loud.  That's a tell about this "blue wave" thing if there ever was one.

But then, other than NPC types and their mirror-images in the press, who could stand listening to this lumphead speak?

Gee! A Crooked Lawyer/Politician/Democrat!!!

This guy hits the trifecta.  Lawyer, Democrat, politician--and a crook, too.

...On May 17, VA officials arrived for a surprise inspection, VA Deputy Assistant Secretary James Hutton told The Daily Caller News Foundation. The purpose was to find out if Smith was running a middleman company used to win lucrative federal contracts earmarked for disabled veterans, then passing all the work off to non-veteran companies in exchange for a cut for himself. Such so-called rent-a-vet scams are forbidden.

Smith’s company declined to cooperate with the VA and failed to provide evidence that the business was legitimate, Hutton said. On May 31, the VA’s Center for Verification and Evaluation issued a “Notice of Proposed Cancellation,” which would lead to the Congaree Group being stripped of its preferred, disabled-veteran contractor status if not resolved, according to Hutton. The Congaree Group still “did not provide the requested documents” explaining itself, he said.

On July 11, one month after Smith won the primary election, the VA banned the company from its preferential status, according to Hutton. The Congaree Group no longer appears on the VA’s list of approved veteran-owned businesses....
Not to worry.  He's keeping busy running for Governor of South Carolina.

Planet HollyWierd

Owen noticed this, too--this Planet HollyWierd thing.

If you concede that Shakespeare was The Playwright of Western society, a passing familiarity with his plays will give you a very broad look at the human condition.  Intrigue, humor, love, hate, life, and death, with a bit of sex tossed in here and there, (but only by inference.)

Things have changed, eh?  Now HollyWierd scripts concentrate on the perversions, the death-wish-with-sex fantasies, the " Daddy was a rapist...." (when he really wasn't the Daddy at all) story lines....or the "reality" shows which have no connection to any "reality" we're aware of.

These are the personal and psychotic problems of the writers and producers.  They are not on the same Planet (see what I did there??) as the audiences they purport to entertain; in fact, what they produce is another form of pornography.

And when it's not that, it's Feminist and Homosex Whining, or even worse, Morality Lectures On The EEEEEEEvil of TRUMP.  See, e.g. recent Law & Order or NCIS crapola.  (By the way, the "long stare" from Olivia is becoming oppressive.  She ain't what she used to be, folks.  Ice-T does a better stare and he's better-preserved, too.)

Pretty much makes the cooking channels and the game shows the few remaining actual reality shows.

With ONE exception:  Last Man Standing.

How Government Liars Measure

It's not news that politicians lie.  It's not news that crooks lie, or that the press lies (BIRM).

It's also not news that the Fed Gov lies, especially when creating its "poverty" report.  And I DO mean "creating."

The measured poverty rate has remained virtually unchanged only because the Census Bureau doesn’t count most of the transfer payments created since the declaration of the War on Poverty. The bureau measures poverty using what it calls “money income,” which includes earned income and some transfer payments such as Social Security and unemployment insurance. But it excludes food stamps, Medicaid, the portion of Medicare going to low-income families, Children’s Health Insurance, the refundable portion of the earned-income tax credit, at least 87 other means-tested federal payments to individuals, and most means-tested state payments. If government counted these missing $1.5 trillion in annual transfer payments, the poverty rate would be less than 3%.

That's a lot of excludin' goin' on out there, ain'a?

Dad29 Refuses Super Bowl Commercials

Yah, well, since NFL went girly-girl, I'm outta there.

"Marching" Invaders? Nope. Bus, Train, Truck-riders....

There are pictures which, somehow, CNN fails to show.

This bunch of "marchers" aren't "marching," except for teevee reporters.  They ride.  One of the truck-transports sports the Star of David (WTF??), too.  Money is coming from US Catholics through the usual USCC source.

Maybe it's time to tighten the screws on the local parish.  Send a message, ya'know.

More Whine From MMAC? Just Shut Up, Please.

We note that the MMAC has been whining a lot over the last few years.  They prefer to use cheap (illegal) labor, or cheap (legal) labor, and now are whining that they need more Big Road Projects in the City of Milwaukee.

For some reason, MMAC thinks that Milwaukee is really an important piece of Wisconsin.

Pro-Tip:  not since you lost A O Smith, Allis-Chalmers, Briggs & Stratton, Grede Foundries, and a few others, boyzzzz.  Now you're important (maybe) for a few restaurants, hotels, and sports teams, plus a very large insurance company--which has major facilities OUTSIDE of the city of Milwaukee.  Your "sports leaders" had the foresight to shove the Green Bay Packers out of Milwaukee, too.  Genius!!

Oh--yes--you're also important for drug-crimes, murder statistics, and carjackings.

Since anyone commuting through the Milwaukee area in the past 10 years has put up with hundreds of hours of delays and hundreds of miles of detours to get into or around your rapidly-declining metropolis, you can put your $Billion-dollar request where the sun never shines.

And stop your whining.

Not Smart: Lasry

Apparently this fellow Lasry is a couple beers short of a six pack.  He left his keys IN THE CAR--in an unsecured location--while watching a basketball game.

So it got stolen.

But wait!  The dumbasses who stole the car don't know that those cars are famous for spontaneous combustion.  Fortunate for them that they did not become bar-b-que.

Mueller Up for False Imprisonment Rap?

The spots on this creature don't change easily.  Here is a case out of TN which looks very bad for Mueller, at least as reported here.

But we know that this is his MO, so the reporting in the instant case fits with Mueller's pattern of practice.

More and more difficult to have "confidence" in the Feebs, ain'a?

Yes. Seal the Border!

One would think that catching sight of the First MEF and the First Armored would change the minds of the invasion forces now in Mexico.

Maybe then we can add this Lefty Fantasy to the other "Vision Moments" they've tried recently, like that dead spy/Muzzie in Turkey, or the psycho psychologist fantasy-weaver in California.

Schlichter is right.  Frankly my dear, we don't give a damn.

Wackdoodles Infesting Marquette U

We were alerted to the (continuing) presence of infections such as this wackdoodle at Marquette U., which charges about $50Large/year and bills itself as a 'Catholic' University in the Jesuit Tradition.

That is now a dichotomy un-bridgeable:  "Jesuit Tradition" and "Catholic."

Just sayin'.

Where ARE All the FBI "Good Guys"?

Treehouse asks a very good question:

...By now we  understand many of the big picture details behind DOJ and FBI efforts to weaponize the institutions of government to target their political opposition, namely Donald Trump.

With the removal of so many officials within the institutions, the question becomes less rhetorical.  If the corruption is removed, where are the ‘rank and file’ whistle-blowers surfacing from underneath the now replaced leadership?  Why haven’t we seen anyone from within the system come forth to tell their story?

Where are the voices of the officials within the FBI data forensic units who were given restrictive analytical instructions on Clinton laptops and hard-drives?  Where are the voices of the investigative field agents charged with finding leakers?  Where are the voices of the non-corrupt employees inside the DOJ-NSD or FBI who watched for two years as the small group within upper level offices controlled/scripted the activity?  etc. etc.

The larger question is not asked to state emphatically no such honorable “rank and file” exist; but rather to highlight: if they do exist, then why are they invisible?...
Yes, well, umnnnhhhh......

Russkis Wasting Money

I have no idea why the Russians waste time and money 'turning people against' Baldwin.

Most child-murder promoters--such as Baldwin--are repulsive without Russian help.

Sure, Obama Had Spies in the Trump Campaign!

Of course Obama (and Lynch, and Hillary) worked together to spy on Trump's campaign.  And they had the perfect fools in place to do it:  Brennan, Comey, McCabe, and the kissy-faces (and more!!)

Don't you wish you were an oily, fat, British "professor" so you could knock down $400K to spy on US candidates?  Or an Australian "high commissioner" who pimps out his "assistants" in honeytrap ops?

And with ALL of THAT, they still couldn't push the old bag over the finish line.

Hillary Clinton will never be President!!

Tucker Gets It re Khashoggi: Not Our Business

As we remarked earlier, when you're a spy and have nasty friends, it's possible that you'll die young.  This guy also had nasty enemies:  the Saudis.

...Of course, they did it. We knew they did it. Their only concern was getting caught. Now they have been caught, and they probably regret the whole thing. All of that makes sense. None of it is surprising.

What is confusing is the wave of false posturing on display from our own mindless ruling class.

Khashoggi’s death, they’re telling us, is now somehow the most important story in the world, far more important than the many political murders China commits each year far more than Saudi Arabia, or the countless children the Saudis have bombed and starved to death in Yemen.

More than that, they’re telling us it’s a moral litmus test, the latest in a long series of moral litmus tests that are delivered to us by Fiat (ph) on cable news. Support this, don’t support that. Otherwise, you’re a bad person. That’s the message of almost every show. Share my beliefs or you are damned.
Now, in this case, it’s a little confusing because keep in mind these are the same people, the ones commanding you to hate the Saudis, who just months ago were uncritically repeating Saudi talking points right from the embassy.

Remember when we bombed Syria last spring and bombed it before, the year before, well the Saudis pushed that. Everyone knew that. It might have been nice to hear that on television. We could have used some media skepticism at the time, but no.

Only this show pretty much brought that up. The rest of the press loved it....
Why in Hell anyone thought seriously about this for 10 seconds escapes me--which proves that the MSM is non-serious; they are really the blow-dried airheads that they've become over the last 50 years.

Weekend Humor

Stolen directly from Raconteur Report, and worth it!!!

The Man From Guinea

Cdl. Robert Sarah.

We need to be inclusive and welcoming to all that is human, but what comes from the Enemy cannot and must not be assimilated. You can not join Christ and Belial! What Nazi-Fascism and Communism were in the 20th century, Western homosexual and abortion Ideologies and Islamic Fanaticism are today.
I'll take him, Cd. Burke, Cd. Mueller, and Abp. Chaput, and with them form a company of REAL men of the Church.

Tammy's Plans for "Equality"

There are so many things wrong with Baldwin that it's near-impossible to list them all.  But there's a big-assed red flag flying--Obozo, the Community Activist/Presidential Failure will be showing up.

Did I say "red" flag?  Well, there's the Fr. James Martin SJ rainbow, too!!

President Obama says he backs "The Equality Act," which would add gender identity and sexual orientation to the 1964 Civil Rights Act....The bill was introduced in July in the Senate by Democratic Senators Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, and Cory Booker of New Jersey...

...Among its measures, the bill strips away religious liberty rights clarified by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, stating that the 1993 law "shall not provide a claim concerning, or a defense to a claim under, a covered title, or provide a basis for challenging the application or enforcement of a covered title.”...

...Reilly said the act "redefines what a public accommodation is," and "would essentially bring religious schools under that definition, and there would be absolutely no protections for religious schools."

"Not only does it not include protection [for religious entities], but it actually, expressly, prevents any sort of RFRA claims against any of the provisions" of the act, he said....

And as a bonus, men pretending to be women will share bathrooms with your wives and daughters!!

That's Tammy-land.  Don't be part of it.

Evers, the Bozo

Kinda sad that Tony Evers is THIS lazy.

State schools Superintendent Tony Evers submitted a budget request as his bid for governor heated up in September that included sections plagiarized from Wikipedia, a blog by an intern at a think tank and two other sources....

Really?  Four years ago, the Democrat (Burke) lifted material from a bunch of other Democrats, too.

What's the matter with these people?

"Masculinity" in Church a Problem?

We are amused by this one.

The church needs to further integrate women into ecclesial life to confront the problems of clericalism and an exaggerated sense of masculinity, a Vatican official told the Synod of Bishops.
In his address to the synod members Oct. 18, Cardinal Marc Ouellet, prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, said he agreed with the working document's assertion that there sometimes is "an ecclesial inability to recognize, welcome and foster the creativity of the 'feminine genius.'"...

Umnnhhhhh........when half the priests are homosexuals, you don't have a "masculinity" problem, Eminence.

Just sayin'....

Ford Dealer: "EEEEEK!! Yukky!! Guns!!!"

It's kinda sad when you think about it.

Despite their own concerns and those voiced by a neighbor, Baraboo planners granted preliminary approval Tuesday for construction of a gun store, manufacturing operation and indoor shooting range off South Boulevard....

Sounds like a destination to me!!!

...Commissioners expressed frustration over a change to state law that limits municipalities’ authority to deny land use requests. Without an ordinance on the books outlawing weapons manufacturing and sales along one of its key arteries, the city couldn’t deny DEZ Tactical’s request without proving the business would threaten public safety....

By the way, Baraboo was the location of the Badger Ordnance Works, which manufactured BOMBS and ARTILLERY SHELLS during WWII.  "Public safety," eh??

...Rebecca Hoppe told the commission a gun shop doesn’t belong next to her family’s business, Glacier Valley Ford, or along a street city leaders have extolled as a gateway to Baraboo.
“We want this to all be a beautiful corridor,” Hoppe said....

Because a Ford dealership is "beautiful," Rebecca?

Here's a thought:  how many people will drive 150 miles or so to buy a Ford from YOU, Rebecca?  A lot of people will drive that far to purchase from DEZ.  Just sayin', Rebecca.

Walker's Worst Fail: Hiring

On occasion, a few conservative bloggers meet and chat.  We've all agreed that Scott Walker has the worst-ever record of high-level hires we've ever seen.

Jadin--a loser who nearly demolished WDEC with his incompetence--joins Ed Wall, who oversaw horrific prisoner-abuse as Sec/Corrections, in writing letters decrying Walker.

One theme:  that Walker did or did not do some things because of 'political advantage.'  That's their "shiny object" game, of course.  The question voters should consider is this:  was the action or inaction to the advantage of the State of Wisconsin's residents and taxpayers?

Jadin, the Green Bay loser, and Wall, the supervisor of torture, don't want THAT question in front of the voters and taxpayers.

Let's hope that Walker gets better advice on "how to hire" in his next term.

Honduras Sends a Pre-Election "Human Rights" Circus

It's not a co-incidence that this bunch of "refugees" will show up at the border about a week or so before the mid-term elections.

Not only is this circus being arranged by the Democrats; it's a PAID protest (see the link.)

The Pakistani Spy Coverup

You, the taxpayer, spent about $1.5 million/month to hire Mueller to chase ghosts.  There's nothing there, of course--except the crimes of Hillary, Obama, Rice, Comey, the lovebird Feebs, (et. al.)

Meantime, you, the taxpayer, have been screwed blue by the Department of Justice and the Pakistani spies who lived on YOUR tit while, frankly, stealing every document they could find from Wasserman Schultz and you, the taxpayer.  ONE and only ONE of the spies copped a plea and left the country.  No prison, no fines.

Clearly, some Congress-slime with a lot of muscle wanted this thing buried.

Think YOU could have gotten away with that?

Well, now.

Glenn Grothman, who supports Planned Parenthood, sits on the House Oversight Committee.  If he gets re-elected, maybe he could actually do some good, not just follow Paul Ryan's orders and fetch his pizza.  Since Ryan won't return, Grothman won't have to worry about that pizza any more.

*Shock!!* Democrats Resort to Slime. Again.

It seems that the Henszey campaign for a state senate seat needs a boost.

So the Democrats went straight back to the Slime-Box.  They are very familiar with that, just like they are familiar with vote fraud, and Hot-Chick-Lingerie parties for Lt. Governor candidates.

Not to mention being falling-down drunk while running for President.

You'd think they might come up with a platform--but that might require actual work and intelligence.

Dipwit County Clerk Quits. Finally!

Here's the good news.

County Clerk Kathleen Novack has announced her upcoming resignation.

Novack will resign shortly after the Nov. 6 general election this year, according to a news release....

That's the woman who decided--contrary to Wisconsin statutes--to authorize a queer "marriage."  Apparently she was some sort of Fed bureaucrat for 30 years, which explains a lot.

But it doesn't excuse anything.  She was wrong, and remains so.

Khashoggi's Shady Friends

Your Mom always told you to keep the right sort of company.  She was right, ya'know.

Germany's leading right-of-center daily Die Welt this morning reveals that Jamal Khashoggi was not a journalist, but a high-level operative for the Saudi intelligence service, an intimate of Osama bin Laden, and the nephew of the shadiest of all Arab arms dealers, the infamous Adnan Khashoggi. John Bradley reported last week in the Spectator that Khashoggi, who allegedly met a grisly end in a Saudi consulate in Istanbul, was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist organization that among other things wants to replace the Saudi monarchy with a modern Islamist totalitarian state.

Gee.  It's reported that the Saudis disposed of this problem.

S**t happens if you're a spy--particularly if you're a known pal of OBL and active in the Muzzie Brotherhood, which (I'm sure you know) is an un-indicted co-conspirator in terrorist activity in the USA.  So basically, screw him.

By the way, Turkey is not a "firm friend" of the USA and hasn't been for the last few years--since it went Muslim-State.  Who is the NYTimes trying to kid?

Hijacked from Grim, who knows a thing or two about the Middle East.

"Science"!! (D) Variety

Stolen directly from Peter.

Heap Big Fake, Ms. Warren

Hiring the world's most expert expert doesn't matter if you have this problem:

...“To make up for the dearth of Native American DNA, Bustamante used samples from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia to stand in for Native American.” So all the test proved is that Warren might be 1/64 to 1/1024 Mexican, Peruvian, or Colombian...

Maybe Indian Princess should just shut up and make some coffee.

Jesuits: the Order of (Grave) Disorder

The book review at this link is about a book followup to Malachi Martin's The Jesuits, in which Martin described the beginning of the end of the Society of Jesus.  The line of demarcation was 1965, at the 31st General Convention.

The book, Passionate Uncertainty, picks up during the last years of the reign of St John Paul II.  Some snips from the review...

...One early reviewer of Passionate Uncertainty (himself a member of the Jesuit nomenklatura) glanced briefly at the indicators of decline given by McDonough and Bianchi—but concluded cheerfully, “The overall portrait is one of men content in their vocations, who have drawn closer to the person of Jesus while leaving an earlier Almighty God figure behind.”...

That particular phrasing fits hand-in-glove with what we've heard from Pp. Francis, who happens to be a Jesuit.  In the late 19th century, 'scholars' differentiated between the 'historical Jesus' and the 'Jesus of the Gospels.'  That difference has migrated to the above separation of the 'person of Jesus' from 'Almighty God.'  The implications of statements from Pp. Francis are along the same lines.  He would separate the 'God of mercy' from 'Almighty God', too.  (We'll see what Almighty God thinks about that in the near future when we meet Him face-to-face.)

You will not be surprised to know that half of today's US Jesuits are queers; and the other half is not totally "rigorous" about celibacy.  You should keep your wives, daughters, and sons at a safe distance.

...The recently published Passionate Uncertainty: Inside the American Jesuits is a quirky yet convincing depiction of the collapse of the renegade Society of Jesus: papists who hate the pope, evangelists who have lost the faith. Deprived of their reason for existence as Jesuits, they respond either by putting an end to their existence as Jesuits (deserters outnumber active members in the United States) or by indulging a willed imbecility in which the explosively divisive questions are never permitted to surface....

The review is worth reading--there's plenty more information there.  You don't really have to read the book; all you need to know is made manifest by James Martin, SJ, if you can stomach him.

Why Ratzinger Resigned (?)

When Benedict XVI resigned the papacy, it was quite a shock to almost every Catholic.  This "resignation" thing had only happened five times in Church history.  Some argue that it was nine times, but that's 9 times in 2,000 years.  Not often.

Ratzinger/Benedict claimed that his health was not sufficient for the struggle he faced to 'clean up' the Church.  He took the decision after receiving a 300-page report laying out the situation--and naming names.  Which names?  Well.....we don't know.....yet.

Fast forward.

Church Militant reports here that the appointment of McCarrick to a Cardinalature in D.C. was probably engineered by JPII's closest personal assistant:  Mgr. (now Cardinal) Stan Dziwicz, and that Dziwicz was extremely appreciative of monetary gifts, so much so that it was known that if you wanted to visit with the Pope, the price was $3 Large, payable to Dziwicz.  Dziwicz said that the money was going to a hospital he was building in Poland.

Remember that JPII was in noticeably declining health due to Parkinson's.  As a result, Dziwicz played Eleanor to JPII's Franklin.  Also understand that McCarrick was well-known in Rome for dispensing large amounts of cash to various Vatican figures, going back as far as 1991.  Dziwicz was the one who called the Nuncio to the US and instructed him to appoint McCarrick the Archbishop of D.C.  Hmmmm.  (There's more, but you have to watch the You Tube linked above).

At the same time, the ultra-powerful Secretary of State, Cdl. Sodano, apparently did not mention to the US Nuncio whether any disciplines were levied on McCarrick.  Also noteworthy:  both Sodano and Dziwicz were very active in protecting Maciel of the Legionnaires.

Further, Church Militant reports that the Vatican's "special report" on the McCarrick promotions will place all the blame on St. John Paul II, who (it's certain) will not deny nor refute the story.

Now, then.  B-16 was an academic, a theologian, and a mystic.  He advised JPII on matters of doctrine and liturgy and--eventually--on the bombs going off in the US having to do with homosexual predator-priests.  That's when B-16 began to see, up close, the rot and filth in the Church.

When he was elected Pope, he thought he could get a handle on it, working with trusted associates--and then he got that 300-page report.

I suspect that he learned only then that he was trusting the wrong guys--and that the network had control of lots of the Church--and that he had been betrayed and hornswoggled by many, many, men, as had JPII.

That's when he resigned--and I suspect that's WHY he resigned, too.  He resigned due to a broken heart and that's what will kill him.

This Woman Gets to Vote, Too!

Below we notef that Leah Vukmir favors writing "carefully worded" laws voiding 2A rights for (allegedly) mentally-disturbed individuals.

She didn't mention writing "carefully worded" laws removing the right to vote from wack jobs like this one.

Playing fetch on all fours might seem like an unusual activity for an adult, but one man who identifies as a dog says it has brought him closer to his husband.

Tony McGinn, known as 'Tony Bark' to his friends, says he has been into animal role-play his entire life, and refers to himself as a 'human pup'.

The 30-year-old, who was born female and is transgender, is supported by his husband and 'handler' Andrew who accompanies him to regular play dates with other role-players in their hometown of Los Angeles....

When this nutbag votes, she won't cancel Tammy Baldwin's vote.  Think about that.

Vukmir Negotiation WIth Herself on Gun Laws

In last night's debate, Leah Vukmir began negotiating with herself over gun laws.  She stated that she's in favor of outlawing "bump stocks" (which are very rarely installed) and in favor of "carefully written" mental-health related gun confiscation.

Why does she do that?

Baldwin--the opponent--doesn't care about either of those matters; Baldwin is in favor of wholesale gun confiscation, no matter what she drools from her badly-memorized talking points.

Leah, don't bother being "reasonable" with Baldwin.  You will never win that battle and you ought to know better.  You're negotiating with yourself when you do that.

Don't negotiate the Second Amendment with Baldwin or anyone else.  Thanks!!

Influencing US Elections: the Chinese Commies

Why yes, they are!!

And how are they doing this?

Well, pilgrim, they finance "news" outlets like Vox.

When it first opened for business in 2014, the website Vox was hailed as the first website that would “explain” the news in an unbiased manner. Now it has been discovered that the site is heavily funded by the communist Chinese government.

The site was started by former Washington Post writer Ezra Klein....

Hmmmmm.   So here's the question:

Does the funding explain some of its recent posts all bashing Trump’s trade policies with China:
Global markets just tanked — and Trump may be partially to blame
Trump’s trade war is hurting the global economyChina’s record trade surplus with the US shows Trump’s strategy is “failing”Trump’s China strategy is the most radical in decades — and it’s failing

The ChiComs' experience with Bill and Hillary convinced them that the Government here is for sale--which it was, until Trump showed up.

So here's another question:  where in Hell is RoJo??

Kaul Will Suck the Blood Out of Suffering Citizens

Gotta love those Democrats.  Not only are the happy to fund the mass murder of unborn babies; they're also very happy to take money from people who are in pain.

At least, that's what AG candidate Kaul (Lautenschager) told the teevee audience.

...Kaul said he supports legalizing medical marijuana to help people deal with pain and provide the state with new revenue....
How very kind of him!!  For just a little vig, Kaul will let you have pain relievers!

The Democrat way.

Lefty School Principal FIRED!

Some Lefty high-school principal-ette forced a student to remove his patriotic tee-shirt during a football game, claiming that it was "disruptive."

She got fired for being a jackwad.

This is the proper way to deal with twits who run schools.  Shorewood's school board should take notice.

Talk Radio's New Message: STFU!

Back in the day when Mark Belling was trying to build an audience, he would write letters to anyone whose name appeared in the newspaper's "Letters" pages.

He would also solicit lots of phone calls from his listeners.

R.I.P. that stuff.  From here on in, you're going to get Belling's opinion, and almost no one else's, on his re-formatted show.

Well, yah.  His is the only opinion that matters, ya'know.  Just ask him.

Fox Sports Hates Wisconsin!

Another way to ruin the day:  Joe Buck now stinks up Brewers' baseball.

"Gave Up" the Clearance. Yup.

Last Refuge has the wrap-up paragraphs on Hillary's 'voluntary surrender' of her clearance.

There have been daily revelations showing a considerable collaboration between the White House, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion-GPS founder Glenn Simpson; his wife Mary Jacoby, DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr and his wife Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr, Russian Dossier author Christopher Steele, FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page; and the highest levels of officials within the FBI, including Chief Legal Counsel James Baker and FBI Asst. Director Andrew McCabe.

All of the evidence points in one transparently obvious direction; toward a 2015 and 2016 collaborative effort structured to use a counterintelligence operation to conduct wiretaps and surveillance on the presidential campaign of candidate Donald Trump.
After the election--when the (R)'s retain the House and gain seats in the Senate--Trump will move to prosecute a number of the above sh*tballs.  When they are sentenced, he should press for incarceration at SuperMax, not Sandstone or Portage--so that these cretins can get the full-spectrum experience of prison life.

Bottoms up, Bitchezzzz!

Hillary, "at Her Own Request", Pays Taxes

What?  You don't believe my headline?

Well, then.  You're just another racist homophobe white hetero privileged who deserves to be mobbed.

Black Men May NOT Support Kavanaugh, per Jemele Hill

I didn't know that black men took orders from some random sports-announcer about Constitutional rights and 'innocent until proven' and stuff like that.

Is Cdl. Dolan a Has-Been Already?

Ann Barnhardt is ....ahhh.........opinionated in the strongest degree.  And she has an opinion about the Wuerl-a-Swirl which just occurred in Rome, which opinion includes an obituary for the career of Cdl. Dolan.

Guys, we’ve REALLY gotta wise up here.  Donald Wuerl wasn’t just defeated, with his “resignation” being “accepted” by Antipope Bergoglio. Donna Guerl was just given a huge promotion, and is now one of the top five, maybe now as high as top three most powerful chutney ferrets in the Antichurch, and Wuerl is now 100% in control of the Antichurch in the U.S., and his challenger, Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York is now totally out and shot down.....

Read the rest.  It compares to the Trump v. Establishment skullduggery, but with fewer visible players so far.

And you can bet that the game has hardly begun.

Sounds We Love: Lefty Lawyer Wailing

You can expect little lefty lawyers to cry to Mommy when they're caught being bad boys.  This little lefty lawyer didn't like the results of a case, so he may have breached the "confidential" wall.

(We have noticed that when little lefties don't like things (like, for example, election results) they decide they'll do whatever they damn well please.  It's what they do.  See, e.g., John Doe probes, or Kavanaugh hearings.)

...Schimel's office said it was looking into whether the retiree — Thomas Dawson, long the state's top environmental lawyer — provided confidential information to the press.

Officials said they still considered Dawson a state worker because his unused vacation time was being paid out to him....

In other words, he was still "on the clock," whether he showed his face or not.  But Little Lefty Lawyer thinks that ethics investigations are "retaliation."  Interesting choice of words, no?  "Retaliation"?  For what?  An ethics breach?  Using too much toilet paper?  Being a jerkwad?  For what, little man??

Well, we have a "for what" in official H.R. records!!!

"Resignation during an investigation into allegations that he provided information that was confidential and protected by the attorney-client priviledge (sic) and the work-product doctrine, to a member of the public media."
Attorney-client privilege is a BIG DEAL--to any attorney with ethics.   But as we know, attorneys on the payroll of the State of Wisconsin are often ethics-challenged.

Mental Health Counselor Needs Mental Health

TeeVee Nooz is--apparently--another advertising vehicle for lawyers.

There is a risk, however.  It's possible that TeeVee Nooz viewers will notice that the client has flown over the cuckoo's nest.

A mental health counselor filed a lawsuit after he was fired from his former employer, Pathways to a Better Life, LLC....Lammers identifies as genderqueer or gender non-binary, meaning he does not identify with one gender. ...

So he dressed and acted real funny.  Weird.  Strange.  Loopy-loop.

He was in the right place:  a mental health facility.  He was just on the wrong side of the desk.

Kanye West?

It's all very nice that Kanye West likes Trump.

But "Kanye West" and "coherent sentences" are not congruent.   In fact, they are not even distantly related.   (That guy's in SuperMax for a bunch of really good reasons, Kanye.  If the Koch Brothers want him out, fine--so long as he's confined to one of THEIR homes.)

But that's show biz and that's what got him invited to the party.

Venn Time

Stolen from the Raconteur.  He steals them from Sal.

+Cupich, the Moral Cipher

The Cardinal of Chicago, +Blaise Cupich, continues to embarrass the Church and calls to mind the words of Screwtape.

Cardinal Blase Cupich, who was appointed by Pope Francis (in 2014) to oversee the Archdiocese of Chicago, said that it was not his policy to deny Holy Communion or Catholic funerals to people in same-sex marriages....

(Think back to the ejection of Fr. Frank Phillips from his very successful parish in Chicago in light of the above.  Hmmmmmm???)

The Cardinal flashes his FrancisConfusion card:

...On the issue of same-sex "marriage," Cardinal Cupich told the Chicago Tribune in April 2016, "It's a lot easier to tell people what they are doing in black and white. The important thing in all of this as we move forward is to recognize that people's lives are very complicated. There are mitigating circumstances, psychological, their own personal history, maybe even biological. It's not a matter of detracting from what the ideal is."  ...

Ahhh!!  The old "Ideals cannot be reached" theory.  Screwtape, a Diabolic Master, had something to say about that:

“A moderated religion is as good for us as no religion at all—and more amusing.”

That maniacal laughter you hear?  It's coming from under the Chancery in Chicago.

What You Expect From Ivereigh: Codswallop

Milwaukee has been afflicted with lots of horrible clerics in the recent past, and this weekend will not be an exception to the afflictions.  We had Cdl. Rabbit-Hole here the other night, followed by Austin Ivereigh.  Yes I know that Ivereigh's not a cleric, but the conjunction was interesting, no?

Ivereigh's task is to spray enough perfumed whitewash into the air so that what is foul smells sweet and what is black is white.  Yes, that's what Nietzsche talked about:  the transvaluation of all values.

Here he describes FrancisGoodness, or something.

As Francis put it just last week to some French priests in Rome: we are in “a context in which the barque of the Church faces violent headwinds as result of the serious failings of some of its members”. But he went on to urge the priests to be pastors in the way of Jesus: wounded, killed and risen, “called to witness to the strength of the Resurrection in the wounds of this world.” Do not fear, he told them, to look on the wounds of our Church, not in order to lament them but to be led to where Christ is.
This is not easy to accept, because it involves a renunciation of our own power in favor of the power of God’s mercy, precisely at the moment when the fear of turmoil leads us to demand actions -- crusades and investigation – as an outlet for our indignation and shame. Allowing conversion to happen means being willing to suffer as a body, as Pope Francis urged in his remarkable letter to the People of God the week before the Dublin visit. This has been a difficult message to hear, especially for people of wealth and power who are calling for a “cleansing” led by self-proclaimed “faithful Catholics” who speak as if the pope’s path of reform either didn’t exist, or needs replacing with punitive, purgative methods. Theirs is the way of accusation of others.

Francis’s way, based on ancient spiritual wisdom, is the way of self-accusation. The first blames and divides, and by undermining unity of purpose, slows reform; the second creates the unity of purpose and humility required for authentic reform
Well, then.  Apparently, we are to be 'converted' by blaming ourselves (and suffering, too!!) especially if we are wealthy and powerful, so that the "cleansing" will take place without any primitive purgation-stuff.   (The non-wealthy and non-powerful can sit out this round, I guess.)

One suspects that Ivereigh wants us to recall the 'mote and beam' story of the Gospel.

Fine.  I'm a sinner.

Now that that's over with, let's get around to exactly how the 'way of mercy' will keep predatory priests and prelates from satiating their lust with teenaged boys or other homosexuals.  (Remember, please, that these crimes and gross sins are very often 'habitual,' as opposed to 'one-off.')   While you're at it, Austin, please demonstrate exactly how the 'way of mercy' will remedy the abuse of power utilized to promote Light-Loafered Fellows to influential positions--positions so influential that money just seems to be available for multiple houses, servants, "cooks," and better-than-ordinary quarters in Rome.

We're waiting, Austin.

Later in his furious paint-and-perfume spraying, we read this:

...But [Francis] is also willing to fall silent, to allow the truth to emerge, and in the course of it, to expose the spirits involved. This is not passivity, or evasion, but the wisdom of one who has faith in God’s methods of change, not ours. ...

It's been more than two YEARS of silence from Pp. Francis regarding the serious questions raised about Amoris Laetitia.   In Germany and Sicily, the 'involved spirits' now allow sacramental communion for adulterous Catholics.  Somehow, I don't think that's "God's method of change," but then, your mileage may vary, eh wot??

Ivereigh is also good with establishing the False Dichotomy.  Surprised?? is the Holy Spirit asking us to change that we might evangelize in this new context? Instead of seeing the spiritual forces at work in our time, we have blamed secularization for our failure to evangelize. Rather than offer the person of Jesus Christ, we have focussed on ethics and ideas, and so end up offering truth at the expense of charity, or charity at the expense of truth. Rather than a body of joyful believers offering the transforming experience of Jesus’s relationship with the Father of Love and Mercy, we become defensive dogmatists, or peddlers of banalities. Rather than God’s holy faithful people, we become an arrogant, often abusive, institution, or one that looks like a benevolent charity rather than the source of truth.  ...
Back in Philosophy 101 we learned that 'charity' and 'truth' are identical; there is never a division between them; thus, being truthful (that is, relaying dogma) is precisely being charitable

This raises the question:  to which church does Ivereigh belong?

There's plenty more at the link, folks.  All easy pickin's.  Have at it!!

Wacko McBride for Ass'y 13?

Some obnoxious deep-state (D) named McBride is running for Assembly 13, a district roughly bounded by 84th Street (east), Goerke's Corners (west), Center St. (north), and Greenfield Ave. (south).

A little bird told me that McBride showed up at the door and engaged in a loud argument on the topic of abortion.  McBride (loudly) supports the Democrat line:  death to babies!!  No surprise there.  But it's not very smart politicking to get into an argument with a prospective voter, is it?

Dennis likes parks in Wauwatosa, which is nice.  Sad that in his vision, there will be no children to play in them.

Vacation in Hawaii? Why???

Watching this display of jackassery elected by Hawaiians, one understands that a boycott might be in order.

There are plenty of excellent vacation spots both in CONUS and Western Europe which would love to have you around--and you don't have to go armed to protect yourselves and your loved ones.
