He added, “That’s exactly what Republicans have voted on in this House. That’s what our platform says.”
McCarthy also claimed that he believes many of his Republican colleagues stand in agreement with him....

Most people know that Barbara Bush, George HW's wife and GW's mother, was strongly pro-abortion. She was the very picture of the 'country club Republican' establishment on the matter. So it comes as no surprise that there are lots more Republicans where she came from.
