The (Almost) First Secession

Surber, being an old guy, recalls this stuff.

Losing New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire & Vermont--and perhaps New Jersey........

What's the downside?  Especially if they take California, Washington, Oregon, and Illinois!
