One hopes that Gov. Abbott, normally a sensible guy, simply mis-spoke.
The governor of Texas recently acknowledged the coronavirus is showing no signs of slowing down in his state. On Friday, Greg Abbott stated the virus has not yet been conquered and added it will take time to eliminate its presence....
Viruses rarely, if ever, become "eliminated." We have several different flu viruses; the cold is a virus; and SARS remains active, as does EBOLA.
Even Bill Gates doesn't mention "eliminating" the virus. Instead, Gates proposes 3 or 4 vaccinations per year due to the Chinese Lung-Rot's ability to mutate. (Of course, Gates expects to profit from every single dose.)
Meantime, Gov. Abbott, don't talk about 'elimination.' YOU may wear a mask until the day you die. I will not.
