Ruling Class, Not Real-World. Surprised?

Heard a snippet of this on the nooz yesterday, and immediately knew that these two characters do NOT drive themselves anyplace--they have people and limo services for that.

Two U.S. senators have introduced a bill that would electronically limit tractor-trailer speeds to 65 miles per hour, a move they say would save lives on the nation’s highways.....Sens. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., and Chris Coons, D-Del., introduced the measure Thursday, saying it would take the place of a proposed Department of Transportation regulation that has “languished in the federal process” for over a decade....

The trucking association observed correctly that this would create real problems because cars are running at 70+ MPH on most Interstate highways.  It's the difference in speeds that causes the friction/turbulence which creates the accidents.

And if you've ever had to drive any distance using the Interstate, you'd know EXACTLY what the truckers' association is talking about.

Isakson and Coons probably haven't driven themselves anyplace in the last several years.  After all, they are Ruling Class Cloud People and don't have to bother with trying to get past 2 semi-trucks hogging both lanes of the road, one with his governor at 66, the other with his governor at 65....

Want to reduce highway deaths?  Take away the cars of individuals convicted of DUI/DWI, and use software to BLOCK texting on any driver's phone.

Otherwise, Senators, get out of the way.
