Feingold (D-AlQuaeda) Said What?

So the Captain's Quarters reports (live blog):

However, Russ Feingold slipped over the transom to outright insulting -- perhaps most egregiously because he doesn't present such a ridiculous figure as Kennedy obviously cuts.

Feingold did everything but call Alito a puppet mouthing the words of his White House masters.

Alito got mad for the first time, managing to keep it under control, but protested that he had been a judge for fifteen years and he didn't need anyone to feed him answers to anyone's questions.

Feingold responded by changing the subject ... to Vanguard. What a jerk.

Well, yeah, we know about the Arrogant Condescending Snide Jerk problem...

Here's the JS take:

Feingold also asked Alito if, during preparations for his confirmation hearing, he got any guidance from administration officials about how to answer questions on executive wartime powers and conflicts with laws passed by Congress.

Alito said he got guidance on the format of the hearings and how to handle questions stylistically, but said: "Nobody at these sessions or any session ever told me what to say."

Note the difference in tone and substance?

We all know that Feingold (D-Slimeball/Schills R' Us) is a snide jerk. He is especially so now that he is trying to appear as liberal/democrat as possible because of the prez bid for '08.

God help us all.

is it just me or do the other dems on the pannel treat both Kohl and Feingold like small time bit players?
