Subtract Students, Add Teachers

THIS makes sense:

enrollments in the state’s public schools fell 0.3% in 2004-05 to 869,961.

[the] 649-person increase [in total staffing] came mainly from support staff (up 253 to 33,138) and teachers (up 131 to 59,525)

(All 2004/05 numbers, compared to 2003/04)


What we don't know is the month during which the number of Staff and Teachers will become larger than the number of students. But don't bet it won't happen...
