Wisconsin Sobriety Checkpoints?

Yah, well, as Wiggy points out, they ARE illegal in this State.

But when the Feds are waving $200K under your collective noses to set up illegal checkpoints, what DO you DO?

Why, to Hell with the law!!!

That's the Wisconsin of Jim Doyle, anyway.

In Wisconsin it is always the same thing, fine 'me or jail 'em. Maybe this explains why no one can drive in this state.

Keep it simple:
Minor traffic offenses: 3 day license suspension.
Major traffic offenses: 90-day license revokation.
Put a top range of about 4 times that for repeat offenders.

Driving while suspended: Misdemeanor
Driving without a license: Low class felony.

Engaging in a major traffic offense when a crime occurs is evidence of criminal intent.

WHERE are these check points going to set up? I suppose that is the million dollar question. Oh, excuse me, $200k question. Regardless, I will be very careful this weekend...
