The post below notes sarcastically that the US Bishops have not been outspoken about the problem of criminal illegals.
But to their credit, they also said this:
“We recognize that nations have a responsibility to regulate their borders and establish a just and orderly immigration system for the sake of the common good,”...
That's a clear signal that the Franny1 position is no longer operative.
