First mistake: thinking that MAGA voters are "Republicans." In the famous words of Ira Gershwin, 'It Ain't Necessarily So.'

His solution?
...These upcoming midterms are absolutely ours to lose. If Republicans sleepwalk and hand Congress back, mark my words, the impeachment circus restarts...
Second Mistake: Thinking the "Republican Party" will make a real effort to elect MAGA peeps.
The Official Republican Party Poohbahs (see, e.g., Cruz, Bush, McConnell, Speaker Johnson, Paul Ryan, et.al.) are perfectly happy to see Trump crash and burn. You need no more proof than to look at whether the Official Republican Party Poohbahs have lifted a finger to legislate Trump's EO's into law. You're right if you guessed Zero of those.
