Not a surprise, just a continuing disappointment from Scott Fitzgerald (War-War Wisconsin)
On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected a war powers resolution introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to remove all U.S. military personnel from Somalia. The bill, which would have directed President Joe Biden to order all troops to leave the country, except for the Marine Security Guards who protect the US Embassy in Mogadishu, was rejected with 321 members voting against the bill and 102 voting in favor....
Fitzgerald voted to continue the US' war footing in Somalia.
Because Somalia means a lot to the US and some dead soldiers is no big, y'know. /sarc
Scottie is a military guy (REMF); he should suit up and defend Somalia. And Ukraine. After all, they're in the vital national interest, right? Just ask him!
