Whoopsie! Someone forgot to ask potential buyers about this genius move.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is supposed to be its EV flagship. It is the electric version of its F-150 pickup, the best-selling vehicle in America for over four decades. That should give the Lightning a built-in advantage. However, Ford has only sold 3,600 in the first two months of 2023....
Ford wants 10,000/month, not 10,000/year. Whoops!
Minimum price? $55,000++ Delivery? We know not when; there are 'battery problems.'
Maybe Ford will begin competing with Generac and sell the damn things as whole-house generators.
The electric Mustang sales are dropping, too; from 39,000 last year to <22,000 this year.
Market research? Anyone? Bueller??
