...Chile's President Gabriel Boric stunned the world on Thursday when he said he would nationalize the country's lithium industry, the world's second largest producer of the metal essential in electric vehicle batteries, to boost its economy and protect its environment.
The shock move in the country with the world's largest lithium reserves would in time transfer control of Chile's vast lithium operations from industry giants SQM and Albemarle to a separate state-owned company....
That will not change the position of the Tyranny-in-White-House regarding the necessity of electric vehicles. It will merely jack up the costs.
But YOU pay the costs, so who cares?

IMO, it's just a part of the End Game. They make it too expensive for the 'proles' to travel. If you deny a person's ability to freely move about, you can more easily control them. The government's goal is always more and more control. Our Constitution was written to prevent it, but it's basically a dead letter now.
