Walter Reed Shuts Down Religion

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) terminated a Catholic pastoral care contract with a community of Franciscan Catholic priests and friars during Holy Week, barring them from providing religious services to the faithful throughout the most sacred days of the Christian calendar....

Walter Reed issued a 'cease and desist' order following termination of the contract as of 3/31.  Then Walter Reed staff signed a new contract with a firm which cannot fulfill the duties required.

Walter Reed is stonewalling the Archdiocese for Military Services AND the press on this matter.
