More Cops in MKE? That's Not Really the Solution

Hardly surprising that the easy noises are made by politicians, is it?

Here's Kleefisch:

“If we want to stop crime in Wisconsin’s largest cities from spilling into the rest of the state, we need to get serious about this problem now. That means we need to hire more law enforcement officers and surge State Patrol into high crime areas. Wisconsin liberals like Tom Barrett aren’t taking crime seriously — as governor, I will.”

Here's ex-AG candidate Toney:

"...Barrett has proposed a budget that will have 25 less police officers. We need more police, not less, to end this homicide epidemic.”

Milwaukee could hire another 2,000 cops but not one damn thing will change until Milwaukee elects some hanging judges and a DA who wants crooks off the street AND IN PRISON.  Not 'detention,' not 'parole,' not 'free on bail.'  PRISON.

Every cop in Milwaukee can name the 100 or so offenders who are murdering, shooting, recklessly driving, and committing GTA.

Yes, Milwaukee's police department is short-staffed and yes, they should put more money into cops.

But let's not pretend that "Mo'Cops" is the solution by protecting the judges, court commissioners, and ADA's who are useless bumps on a log in Milwaukee.
