... I believe that the focus of both the USA and Russia is extricating the former from its obligations to assist Ukraine. Once the US is out of the picture, Russia can easily handle the EU-Ukraine alliance by launching new offensives and forcing the surrender on whatever terms it requires. But in order to get the USA out of the picture, there needs to be an agreement on the table to which the US can agree and to which Ukraine will not....
We know that Trump wants to get out of the tar pit. The US public (excluding WarPigs and the remaining Euro-lickers) has had it with perma-war, particularly in utterly-useless locations.
We also suspect that Putin would like a rehab of his reputation in the US. That's hard to achieve, since Putin is is a professional rat-asshole (as are his CIA/MI6 counterparts).
Here's the question, given Day's proposition: does Putin care more about his reputation or about reclaiming "Russian territory" in The Ukraine?

Ukraine has a ton of minerals. It’s not useless. Trump just made an agreement to get some of those goodies.
The peace plan is not fake. Leave it to Vox Day to put his own spin on matters.
More than likely, Ukraine will reject the proposal. And Putin the dictator, oligarch advocate, and war mongrel will continue with the murderous rampage of white people.

Trump cannot 'make an agreement' to get rare earths unless/until a firm peace agreement is made. He would like to get one for the benefit of the USA. Putin is likely to agree, as Russia has lots of REEs of its own. Who knows what Z will do?
Nope. The deal was made. It is separate from any "peace agreement" between Ukraine and Russia.
Ummmnnhhh....you are right. Confused that deal with one offered by Putin, not yet signed. Not sure that we can GET to those Ukie minerals while a war is ongoing, however.
