+Burke's Not-Too-Subtle Hint to +Leo XIV

A lot of Catholic blogsites have decried Cdl. Burke because he doesn't issue fire-breathing press releases about Pp. Franny's silliness or Pp. Leo's apparent approval of some of Franny's moves.

That's not the way Cdl. Burke works.  He's a "deeds, not words" kinda guy.

Cardinal Raymond Burke and Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will celebrate a solemn Pontifical Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which Cardinal Burke founded, on Tuesday.

The esteemed prelates, who are known for their defense of liturgical reverence and orthodoxy, will celebrate the Mass of the Americas as a Traditional Latin Mass at the Shrine, located in La Crosse, Wisconsin....

The sung parts of the Traditional Latin  Mass will be Frank LaRocca's "Missa Americana."

This is what's known as "Romanita":  a very indirect contradiction or challengeNot a scream-fest, no fists pumping the air.  Just doing what's right.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Leo XIV will hear about this from the Usual Suspects in Rome (and in the USA).

Watch the Pope's reaction, if any, for a sign.
