A few days ago we mentioned Sen. Tom Cotton (R?-MO) and his anti-Tulsi Gabbard campaign. Cotton wants to neuter the Director--which would ipso facto raise the influence of CIA/FBI/NSA/MilIntel (etc.). We speculated that perhaps the Senator's nookie-needs were driving his campaign.

That was the warning from U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard during a searing July 31 interview, where she confirmed that intelligence insiders are actively using corporate media to manipulate the American people and sabotage President Donald Trump’s agenda—echoing the tactics of ‘Operation Mockingbird.’...
... “There are people within the intelligence community who believe that their will is more important than the will of the American people,” Gabbard told conservative host Benny Johnson. “[They] will weaponize intelligence by leaking it to their friends within the mainstream media with the intent of undermining President Trump’s agenda.”...
Cotton is a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Like CIA/NSA/FBI et al, Cotton believes that his will is more important than that of the American people.

“To be able to turn the light on in places that have been dark for far too long, expose the truth, and drive accountability—that’s the only way we can actually shift this,” she said.
She affirmed that Trump is fully aware of the deep-state sabotage being conducted through the media.

This is the very same "Intelligence Community" which did its illegal damndest to prevent Trump from executing his 2016 campaign promises.
...Team Hillary got the Obama administration’s intelligence community (IC) to support the “Russian collusion” narrative, which is how former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are involved, along with many others (e.g., Susan Rice) who participated in the corrupt conspiracy that is RussiaGate....
One could ask just whose side Tom Cotton is really on.
We expect Trump will veto the "Empower the Spy-on-You" legislation. Meantime, can someone veto Tom Cotton?

Don't associate Cotton with MO. We have problems in our state but he ain't one of them. Verify, but I think he's out of Arkansas.
