"Politics" is the new 'shiny object' or 'SQUIRREL!!' word in education controversy.
...What’s going on in Menomonee Falls isn’t unique. Similar things are happening involving public schools in other Milwaukee suburbs and across the nation.
But Menomonee Falls is emerging as an eye-catching example of the impact that polarized education politics are having and will have for years to come. ...
The article goes on to describe the good things done by a Menomonee Falls superintendent about a decade ago (so what?) and then bewails the turnover in administrators since a new Board was elected (another so what?)
That new Board campaigned on improving academics and pushing race-based propaganda out of the schools. Note well: improving academics and banning racism is NOT "political;" it is education reform. But "political" is the word Borsuk and his sources use to spray manure on many newly-elected Board of Ed members all over Wisconsin and the US.
Nice try, Alan. Find better sources next time, or just tell the truth about reform. It would be a refreshing break from educationism propaganda.
Borsuk is a pretty good reporter. He should have asked different questions. Maybe he's slipping.
