"Catholic" Hospital Using Pp. Francis Against Employees

It's to be expected that a "Catholic" hospital will use "Catholic" Francis' horrific Marxist bleating against that hospital's employees.  This is from the President of Ascension Health:

...We continue to work toward full vaccination in our communities as the best way to overcome the pandemic. Some associates have asked about how our COVID-19 vaccination policy for associates aligns with our role as a ministry of the Catholic Church....

...Just this week, Pope Francis released this video in which he says, “Getting the vaccines that are authorized by the respective authorities is an act of love.” The video includes the Pope and other church officials from the United States, Mexico, Brazil and other countries describing vaccination as a moral responsibility.

“Thanks to God’s grace and to the work of many, we now have vaccines to protect us from COVID-19,” he says. “They bring hope to end the pandemic, but only if they are available to all and if we collaborate with one another. … Getting the vaccines that are authorized by the respective authorities is an act of love. And helping the majority of people to do so is an act of love. Getting vaccinated is a simple yet profound way to care for one another, especially the most vulnerable.” Pope Francis was vaccinated this year and has publicly stated that all available COVID vaccines are morally acceptable and further suggested that there is a moral obligation to make use of the vaccines....

The hospital links to the CDF statement, hoping their employee will not read it. Why?

Because CDF contradicts Francis, of course:

5. At the same time, practical reason makes evident that vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation and that, therefore, it must be voluntary. In any case, from the ethical point of view, the morality of vaccination depends not only on the duty to protect one's own health, but also on the duty to pursue the common good. In the absence of other means to stop or even prevent the epidemic, the common good may recommend vaccination, especially to protect the weakest and most exposed. Those who, however, for reasons of conscience, refuse vaccines produced with cell lines from aborted fetuses, must do their utmost to avoid, by other prophylactic means and appropriate behavior, becoming vehicles for the transmission of the infectious agent. In particular, they must avoid any risk to the health of those who cannot be vaccinated for medical or other reasons, and who are the most vulnerable.

And of course, the hospital also ignores the growing evidence that vaccinating its employees may lead to an explosion of cases among its patients and employees:

...Interpretation: Breakthrough Delta variant infections are associated with high viral loads, prolonged PCR positivity, and low levels of vaccine-induced neutralizing antibodies, explaining the transmission between the vaccinated people. Physical distancing measures remain critical to reduce SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant transmission....

Delta ignores your vaccination, and gives you a HIGHER viral load to spread around.  Patients' personal-injury lawyers will love it.

Regardless, it will be said of Francis that he is a remarkably un-Catholic Pope.  Pray that he confesses before his death.
