Damn good one, Pete!
I'm defying the "headlights on" rule as much as possible, as well as waiting for the day some poor twit LEO pulls a "primary enforcement" action on my total disregard for the seatbelts...
And there are other, more subtle, willful disobediences of the Nannies which I practice regularly.
Screw 'em.
But Pete--you didn't mention that these ninny-nanny-girly-Pubbies are following their Great Leader, G W Bush, whose idea of Big Gummint makes Clinton's pale in comparison. Same-o for Tommy Thompson, who never met a spending increase he didn't admire (if not endorse.)
It ain't exactly news. Only the faces have changed.

Agreed. The amount of gummint spending under Bush is worse than Clinton, and "Stick It to Em" Tommy blew the state windfall on the road builders so we had nothing left for the rainy day recession.
Check my earlier post on what Frank Lasee linked to in Arizona over TABOR. Colorado survived the Clinton recession because it didn't waste the money it made off the good times.
Pete, it was hardly just "roadbuilders."
Ever stop to think how much Tommy T's pals, the Association of General Contractors, benefitted from building a new UW-Anyplace building every year?
The roadbuilders were the first thing that came to mind. The cash flowing carousel in Madison is disgusting to most average citizens.
