Does any company make "dumb" refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, etc.? I'm tired of these smart products breaking down every three years. My grandparents had the same fridge for 50 years. It can be done....
"Dumb" cars would be fine, too. We've had waaaaayyyy too much "help" from lane-keepers/speed-reducers, and those gigantic finger-puzzle boards to dial the temperature up or down inside the car.
Ticker rants, and it's a good one, about the same issue.
