June 30th marks the deadline for federal financial aid (FAFSA) applications. It’s a free, quick way to potentially unlock funds to put toward college. But a staggering amount of FAFSA money goes unclaimed year after year....
This year it's about $3.7 BILLION in Pell grants ("free money") that will not be distributed.
Unstated in the piece? How much debt the children (and their parents) will take on.
Also unstated? Whether college is worth it.
Obviously, to a lot of families, the answer is "NOPE."
