The Gnostic Narcissism of Protestants

Casey Chalk writes on "Perspicuity" and the deficiency of Protestantism.  This is the very, very, short pull-quote which is key to understanding a lot of today's problems.  He writes about his sojourn into a Protty seminary and his return to the One True Church.

...The Bible obviously wasn’t clear about what is necessary for salvation. Protestants didn’t just disagree with Catholics over this – they disagreed with each other.

But without perspicuity, the doctrine that enabled the individual Christian to make sense of the Bible, that same Christian would require recourse to some interpretive authority. I realized then that Protestantism was at its core individualistic. I was all on my own regarding the Bible’s meaning, free to decide what it meant, and what constituted authentic Christianity. And no longer could I pretend that I felt confident in doing so. What charge had Christ given me, Casey Chalk of Virginia, to exercise infallible authority over the interpretation of the Bible?...

That's a gnosticism which leads directly to narcissism and ultimately to the individualism we see in today's US culture.  Each Protestant has the Secret Knowledge!  They are special, indeed!  Granted, most of them don't act that way, and most of them don't know the implications of their theological position, but that's the essence, the core.

So can someone explain to me why Cdl. McElroy is NOT a Protestant?

I'll wait.

cause he wears a very very red beenie, and pope bergoglio said he was a cardinal. And if pope bergoglio says you can commit mortal sin and receive the body of Christ just hunky-dorry, and that capital punishment is on a par with not recycling as a way to get you to hell (but don't worry about it too much cause nobody's in hell anyway (if it even exists at all) cause your soul's blown up if you've been a total anti-enviro-nazi), and that Mary screamed at the Father about what a raw deal she was given, and that women really need to take over everything in the Church (but we gotta be super-stealthy and careful about making that happen, cause, all the Latin Mass crazies still infecting the pews), and abrogating and slaughtering the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church cause we really NEED to get Yuval Noah Harari in a red beenie PRONTO!....then it's gotta be, cause...pope bergoglio was hand picked by the Holy Spirit...or the four spirits of the winds, or something. I can't remember off the top of my head, but you can look it up in the new catechism, and the VII document, Deus Stultus Est"....it's AAAALL in there.

I suggest more than 50% of Catholics that go to weekly Novus Ordo mass are fundamentally more aligned with Protestantism than the deposit of faith (orthodox Catholicism).
I suggest that near 100% of Catholics that go to Vetus Ordo mass are fully aligned with the deposit of faith.
We suffer a church where more than half of the Catholic clergy are Protestant (at best) and therefore this problem will continue to erode until the faithful push our the usurpers and recognize a much smaller faithful.
An internal Schism that is unrecognized exists, a creation that was started before VII, but indeed enshrined by it.
