The D.C. Paranoid Bunch

You will have noticed that generally speaking, D.C.-based Government figures are far more paranoid than they were back in the '50's, '60's, and '70's.

In fact, they're more paranoid than they were in the '90's.

Then came GWBush, Dick Cheney, and 9/11.  The 9/11 criminal Muslims did a huge favor to the D.C. Establishment:  they gave them a reason for the "Patriot Act."  Then things went straight to Hell.

...In the era shortly after 9/11 the DC national security apparatus, instructed by Vice President Dick Cheney, was constructed to preserve continuity of government and simultaneously view all Americans as potential threats. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) were created specifically for this purpose.

After 9/11/01 the electronic surveillance system that was originally created to monitor threats from abroad was retooled to monitor threats inside our country.  That is when all of our electronic ‘metadata’ came under federal surveillance....

Pelosi's erection of The Wall surrounding the Capitol (the "People's House"/sarc) was only one of the signs of paranoia.  Congressional staffers now sic the CapCops on anyone who gives a Congress-critter a sideways glance.  In one famous example, a CapCop committed 2nd-degree murder of a civilian who happened to be protesting inside "the People's House"/sarc.  Every communication path--including first-class mail--is monitored continuously by Big Brother.

Don't like your School Board's decision to groom your children?  You're a Terrorist.  Don't think the Establishment Twits were correct about the Chinese Cooties?  You're a Terrorist By Other Means:  Dis-Information.  If you WrongThink, the FBI will send a dozen provacateur-informants to help you commit a WrongThink crime.  Then you're cooked.

It's a form of madness, yes.  Send someone to D.C. and they usually develop symptoms rapidly.

Here's an easy test:  how often does your Congressman or Senator make themselves available for questions in an open public forum, i.e., not by phone to their selected RadioMouth, or not only in D.C., or not only in tightly-controlled "friends only" meets?  We don't mean 'during campaign season.'  We mean 12 months/year.

Yup.  You've answered the Paranoid Test question.
