The Bishops and Mythology

It's one thing for the Protties and atheists to accuse Catholics of believing in myths.  One grows to expect that; it's water off a duck's back.

It's another thing entirely for Bishops to embrace mythology--and force the Faithful to embrace the same gaseous fable.

I speak of "social distancing," of course.

Go ahead.  DuckDuckGo "social distance" +science, +evidence, +disease suppression.....any combo you want.  Almost all the results have to do with mental illnesses OR racial problems in the workplace.

Oh.

The other references are to the CDC website which merely claims WITH NO EVIDENCE CITED that 'social distancing' is a good way to bend the curve because........you spray cooties when you talk, sing, cough, or sneeze.  (What a discovery THAT is, eh?)

As Jeffrey Tucker discovered, "social distancing" was discovered by a high-school girl writing about high-school social patterns and adopted--without criticism or analysis--by the Bush Administration during the H1N1 episode.

That's really impressive science, eh?

As to the Bishops:  they also believe the myth that Catholics will support them in their endless calls for More Money.

That's when they'll learn the real meaning of the term "socially distant."  And it's well-deserved.
