...the notoriously anti-gun Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) has issued a letter declaring that Tennessee’s new “Tennessee’s Firearms Freedom Act” is null and void.
I’ve written about the Firearms Freedom Acts previously. Basically, they allow an in-state firearms manufacturers to sell firearms to state residents without jumping through the ridiculous government mandated Brady Background checks...
I'm not so sure about "notoriously anti-gun," but there's no question that BATFE is notoriously power-mad--like most any institution based in Washington DC.
There are two States which are affected by this challenge, so far.

They (BATFE-it should be a convenience store, not a government agency) somehow think this is going to prevent gun crimes by BAD guys. But BAD guys are BAD because they don't care about the law. The "regulations" (read laws....oh, wait...only Congress can pass laws) don't stop BAD guys.
EVER.
If SCOTUS rules in favor of the state, there's a good chance that BATFE will do an Andy Jackson...
'...now let him enforce it'?
But the states have some power to enforce things, too. Now that'd be a sight: Tennessee State Troopers arresting BATFE agents, trying to arrest a gun dealer who sold an intra-state gun that didn't meet Federal standards...
