Solving the Middle East Problem

Frankly, as distasteful as it seems to our soft-handed (and soft-brained) State Department twits, Grim's proposal is the most honest and ultimately effective one.

...A happier future doesn't run through diplomacy, but victory: it's time for American officials to take their hands off the wheel, and let this sort itself out. Both sides really want the same thing: they hate each other and want to be separate. What they have to work out is something that can only be worked out one way. Peace will be possible once they've had their fill of war, and not because someone put a lid on the conflict while both sides felt like they could still have won more if only the fight had kept going....

Yes, there was a lead-up to that, and it makes Grim's solution the most humane one.

.... the reason this conflict has drug on for more than seventy years is that people keep trying to put it in a bottle. Ceasefires, peace processes, and all that are well-intentioned, but they lead to generations of people living poor in 'refugee camps' that never go away -- surrounded and governed by militants who execute oppression towards them while planning terrorism abroad....

The US should not be involved here, other than allowing its military-industrial complex to sell weapons to Israel.  Others will supply the Muslims, of course.

May the best man win.

Yes this will work.

No money to either side as we are bankrupt

Macgregor paints a financial picture where we are being financially raped by Israel nonstop..... Israel can not pay for their own defence.

,,,,,You have a somewhat similar situation in Israel, right now. The Israeli economy has, by any measure, tanked. You've got hundreds of thousands of men mobilized that otherwise would be at work within the framework of the Israeli economy. So I think Israel is being--has been--placed on life support by Washington. We're pumping billions of dollars into Israel at this point.....

......How much longer can we do that? Well, if you listen to Janet Yellen, we can do that in perpetuity. But anyone looking at our financial condition at this point and our own economy raises questions about just how long that can go on. If Yellen was right we would continue to send hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine--and I think it's pretty obvious that that period is over--we cannot afford it. So that's the first thing--we can't afford it for very long. The Israelis can't afford it right now.......

Grim is good at the tactics, but like any military man he sucks at finances.
