Well, despite the anti-seed oil rhetoric, the administration appointed Kailee Tkacz Buller—former President and CEO of the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) and Edible Oil Producers Association (EOPA)—as chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) under Secretary Brooke Rollins.
While pushing anti-seed oil public health narratives, the USDA announced a $12 billion bailout for U.S. farmers—including growers of common seed oil crops like corn, sunflower, canola, and soybean—funded through tariff revenues, maintaining economic support for the industry.
So once again Trump doesn’t practice what he preaches.
