The mumbling about a "cash-less society" has been around for roughly a decade. First it was the ultra-futurists talking to themselves about the reality of the debit/credit cards; then it went WEF-mainstream, and now the Federal Reserve is going to pilot a program.

Old-fashioned NSA spying on you will be history. Paper trails (even digital ones) are out.
Your revenue and spending patterns are MUCH more useful, Comrade.
You're eating too much? We can shut your card out of groceries, restaurants, and delis.
You getting uppity? We can shut your card out of those guns-and-ammo stores.
Using too much electricity? Natural gas? We can turn it off for you.
Of course, if you vote Democrat and stop going to church regularly, we could adjust...........
