Face it. Kevin McCarthy is doing his best to put the US into bankruptcy because Kevin McCarthy, like Paul Ryan, is a one-trick pony. The trick? Hide all the stinking rotten garbage spending in a "continuing resolution" while pretending that a "government shutdown" will be the end of the world. Then call that "responsible action."
McCarthy has had all of August and half of September to work on the 12 appropriation bills. Instead, he declared "VACAY for ALL!!!!" and sent everyone off on junkets--or whatever.
Governing? Let's leave that to the lobbyists and special interests. Responsible spending? Protecting the borders? Managing the enormous debt? Body-slamming the FBI and Department of Justice Screw Trump, American Catholics, and Parents? Nope. No can do. And whatever else, be sure to send another $24 BILLION to Ukraine because they "lost" big chunks of the last $100 BILLION or so and it's only taxpayer-debt money so who really cares?
That's the Song of McCarthy.
Even some ex-Trump officials are on that bandwagon, blowing Foo-Foo Dust as hard as they can.

The sun will rise while the Fed Gov is "shut down." The Armed Forces will still be on duty. Lobbyists and Big Money will continue to 'support' (pay off) members of Congress. Maybe they'll have to sell some of their stock portfolios, or their second- and third-homes to make it through the tough times, but those poor babies will survive. After all, FEMA has trailer-housing available, fresh from East Palestine.....
But maybe--just maybe--your children and grandchildren will have a "United States" to live in 20 years from now.
THAT is what this is all about, and that is not Foo-Foo Dust.
