BPA: "It's Just Fine" Says FDA

Awww.  The JSOnline and a bunch of trial attorneys have to find a new devil.

The Food and Drug Administration's decision to reject the Natural Resources Defense Council's (NRDC) call for the agency to ban bisphenol A (BPA) in food packaging is a huge win for businesses, and more importantly, for consumers.

BPA has been helping ensure food safety for decades and has not been proven harmful to people. In its decision, the FDA rebutted left-wing activists who have said for years that it is a human health threat, by pointing out that the studies cited by green groups cannot be applied to humans.

"While evidence from some studies have raised questions as to whether BPA may be associated with a variety of health effects, there remain serious questions about these studies, particularly as they relate to humans," the agency said, according to The Associated Press.

"Science" by advocates may be dangerous to your health.

I'd rather get my "science" from the ACS than the NRDF.

The Food and Drug Administration, however, in its latest ruling stated was NOT the final word and expressed support for further research on the safety of BPA.

So it's "just fine"...for now.
