Each Chevy Volt sold thus far may have as much as $250,000 in state and federal dollars in incentives behind it – a total of $3 billion altogether, according to an analysis by James Hohman, assistant director of fiscal policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.
So for $42K retail you get $250K or so in "value." Fire extinguisher extra.

And why are people crucifying Ron Paul for supporting the concept of complete transparency in government information to WE THE PEOPLE?!?!
It's not the transparency, or his view of the Fed that's the problem with Ron Paul. His foreign policy positions, however, leave a lot to be desired...
