The reason why we dropped to number nine is because Tom Reynolds sacrificed his career to end the auto-indexing. I would love to see that ranking drop faster, but somehow I doubt that we'll get an actual drop anytime soon, especially one that isn't accompanied by an increase in registration fees.
Courtesy of the Dems that had been in charge for the past century plus, the NC rate is the floor that indexes with some crazy butt formula to oil. So take heart Dad that WI be number 10 tomorrow as ours goes up by another 2.5¢
