US Permitted Saddam's Kuwait Invasion

As usual, Wauck comes up with interesting stuff.  Stuff that the US Government---the one WE PAY FOR--lied like Hell about.  GWBush's lies are easy to explain, as he is just as dumb as the Democrats said and, of course, he's the son of an extraordinary liar, the sole qualification for running the CIA.

Anyhow.

The US permits Saddam to invade.

Don't like that?  How about your lying eyes:

Good ol' April Glaspie.  Remember her?

You're lucky you forgot about her.

How To Cut Homicides With One Wierd Trick

Look to the nation of El Salvador.

In 2015, El Salvador had the highest homicide rate in the world: 103 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. Last year, its rate dropped to 7.8. This year, it's on pace to hit 2.6.

Gee.  That's really good!  So how......?

Bukele's one weird trick to cut his country's homicide rate by 97% was to round up his criminal class, and put them in giant jails.

About 40,000 total capacity.  Life sentences, no parole.

BadaBing, BadaBang, BadaBoom.

"The Cleanest Election in History". Sure.

And the cow jumped over the moon.

We estimate 3% of the U.S. voter population is registered to vote in two states. Which state these double-registrants choose to vote in reflects incentives and costs, being more prevalent in swing states (higher incentive) and states which automatically send out mail-in ballots (lower cost). We call this behavior cross-state strategic voting (CSSV) and estimate there were 317,000 such votes in the 2020 presidential election.  --National Bureau of Economic Research quoted at PowerLine

Were they all double-votes?  Nope.  Likely were 60,000 doubles.  That's enough to have 'swung' at least two battlegrounds.

Note well:  Wisconsin not only sent out mail-in ballots, but also was a 'battleground' State.  Democrats outnumber Republicans in the 'two-State registration' space.

Do the math.

You Don't Need Electricity, Do You? Well, Do You, PUNK??

Believe it:  there are big players in the State of Wisconsin's government (not to mention the Feds) who are just fine with this.

...Another S.O.S. came Friday in an ominous report from PJM Interconnection, one of the nation’s largest grid operators.

The PJM report forecasts power supply and demand through 2030 across the 13 eastern states in its territory covering 65 million people. Its top-line conclusion: Fossil-fuel power plants are retiring much faster than renewable sources are getting developed, which could lead to energy “imbalances.” That’s a delicate way of saying that you can expect shortages and blackouts....

... PJM typically generates a surplus of power owing to its large fossil-fuel fleet, which it exports to neighboring grids in the Midwest and Northeast. When wind power plunged in the Midwest and central states late last week, PJM helped fill the gap between supply and demand and kept the lights on....

So you won't have reliable electricity when you need it most.

And you won't have gas stoves, remember?

It's fine.  Just fine.

Until certain big players experience retribution.

Matt Walsh Declares War

Walsh posts a nuclear-bomb response to the "Be Nice!!!" bunch of............idiots? ..........fellow-travelers?

Pay particular attention to the last 2 minutes of his speech.

He's not alone.

Interesting side-note:  Prager U. opposes Walsh's tactics.

WarMonger Explainer

Sometimes a graphic is far more useful than text.

But here's the text, anyway:

No Greater Irony

Wisconsin Republicans

DeSantis' Pre-Announcement Party

It's a "DOH!!" that DeSantis will run in the Pubbie Primaries (giving Paul Ryan's pants a bulge.)

So he tossed a little party the other night.

...The Florida governor is making headway, at least based on who showed up to a retreat he hosted last night for dozens of party bigwigs at a Four Seasons — four miles down the road from Mar-a-Lago — that was on the aggressive end of the spectrum. The attendees included a number of prominent past supporters of Trump, our Alex Isenstadt reports this morning.

Among those in the room: “Arizona Republican JIM LAMON, a solar energy executive and Trump donor who aggressively aligned himself with the former president during his unsuccessful 2022 Senate bid … [and] ROY BAILEY, a longtime Texas fundraiser who helped lead Trump’s campaign finance committee.”

The retreat also drew several of DeSantis’ fellow governors, including Oklahoma’s KEVIN STITT, “who benefited from a Trump-hosted fundraiser during his reelection bid last year, and Tennessee Gov. BILL LEE, who was also backed by Trump in his 2022 reelection campaign.”

Wisconsin Sen. RON JOHNSON was also on hand and participated in a panel discussion, though a spokesperson said he doesn’t intend to endorse in the primary. “Other attendees spotted in the crowd included Kentucky Rep. THOMAS MASSIE, Texas Rep. CHIP ROY, Utah Sen. MIKE LEE and 2022 Nevada Senate candidate ADAM LAXALT, a longtime DeSantis friend.” Lee was involved in Trump’s effort to overturn the election, according to the Jan. 6 committee report....

Oooh!!  Nice party, eh?

...The agenda for the event, which Knowles and Dawsey got a look at, was dubbed a “Freedom Blueprint” and featured a list of DeSantis favorites: “‘election integrity,’ border security and ‘medical authoritarianism.’” The discussions, the pair writes, were “designed to showcase DeSantis’s record and show it could be applied nationally.”...

Too bad DeSantis' "favorites" don't include "Made In America," "Energy Independence," and "Re-Shoring Critical Industries", eh?

Probably a clerical error.  What we really need is more Walt Disney Worlds.

Mearsheimer on the War

Wauck finds another interview with John Mearsheimer of U of Chicago.  Remember that Mearsheimer has been calling this war a mistake for quite some time.  Here he's very clear:  Bai-Den and the NeoConMorons have completely screwed up foreign policy.

...I think we have one country on the planet that's a serious threat to us, and that's China. It's a peer competitor, and the United States should be focusing laser-like on dealing with China. Now, we live in a multi-polar world. There are three Great Powers on the planet: The United States, Russia, and China. If you're in a world where there are three Great Powers, and you're the United States and China is your principal rival, the question is: How do you think about the Russians? What you want is, you want the Russians to be on your side of the ledger. You want the Russians as allies. The Russians are no threat to conquer Europe. The Russians are a weak Great Power. Of those three Great Powers the Russians are the weakest. You want the Russians on your side, and you certainly don't want to be pinned down in a war in Eastern Europe which is preventing you from pivoting fully to East Asia. We have created a situation that works to China's advantage. China, in my opinion, has a deep seated interest in keeping this war going for as long as possible, because it pins the Americans down. The Americans, as you know, have limited bandwidth--any Great Power has limited bandwidth--so we don't have much time to spend thinking about what to do in East Asia with regard to the China threat because we spend most of our time thinking about what to do in Eastern Europe or in Ukraine. This is manna from heaven for the Chinese! So this is a remarkably foolish policy from a geostrategic point of view for the United States....

Now you know why Obama remarked that Biden can f**k up anything at all.

Fed Judge to Illinois: "Show Me All of The Guns"

This will be a comic riot.

Things just got very real for the gun-grabbers behind the Illinois Firearm Ban Act. Last Monday the Illinois Gun Rights Alliance filed for a preliminary injunction to block enforcement of the new gun ban in the Land of Lincoln. On Monday, the US District Court judge issued an order that sets up the Illinois Attorney General for an epic failure.... US District Court Judge Stephen McGlynn issued an order requiring the state to provide illustrative examples of each and every item banned under the Illinois Firearm Ban Act.

An Illinois gun-rights group comments further:

... there are so many variations in the guns listed in the ban law that identifying every forbidden firearm will prove, well, difficult at best. After all, there are so many makes, models and variations of America’s favorite rifle that providing illustrative examples of “each and every item” is damn-near impossible.

But wait, there’s more!

The new law also has more general “features” provisions that include far more makes and models of commonly sold firearms used for personal defense. Obviously this will prove to be a challenging endeavor for the guns alone.

And then there’s the entire issue of guns that are prohibited in other sections of the law as well. We’re not even sure the brain trust who drafted the bill understood just how broad the language they used was....

That courtroom will look like a Cabela's.

The Protaseiwicz Excuse for Unethical Conduct

Until this year, ethics prevented judicial candidates from announcing a position on a matter which would be in their courtroom in the near future.

But now we have Janet Protasiewicz, the most unethical WI Supreme Court candidate in history, who had made it clear:  the current law on abortion will not survive if she is elected.

What's her excuse for this?

Last night's  Channel 58 "news"-cast gave a big hint by claiming that Protasiewicz had not "specifically" taken a position on the law.  That laugh-line was delivered by someone named Strehlow.

That's their excuse and they'll stick to it.

Abortion is the sacrament of the Cult of Death, and Protasiewicz is their priestess.

LeMahieu: "I'll Pimp Out the Taxpayers!!"

You don't have to look for coyotes to find trafficking of innocents any more.

You can just look at Devin LeMahieu (R-Inherited Seat) instead.

...Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu, R-Oostburg, indicated in an interview with WTMJ-AM radio that keeping the Brewers in Milwaukee is vital. LaMahieu cited the club's economic impact "especially in the summer in southeast Wisconsin."...

That's part of an article which--frankly--is Brewers' Propaganda 101 except for this bottom-graf embarrassing admission:

...the state [Evers] spending proposal includes an exemption on property taxes tied to any commercial developments on the ballpark grounds. That would take away one possible source of public revenue to help pay for American Family Field's renovations....

This Brewers giveaway is the Wisconsin equivalent of the Ukraine spend-a-thon.  "It doesn't have to make sense--we're going to do it anyway!!"

Ryan's New Act: Brat

Paul Ryan (Deep State-NYCity) will not attend the Pubbie Convention if Trump is nominated.

Instead, he will sit in the corner with his rattle and screech, hoping that someone will miss him.   (Update):  More on Cryin' Paulie at RedState)

Hmmmm. Where Is "ERIC"?

Real news, so don't expect Local Pravda to publish it.

The newly-elected Sec/State of Alabama's website has the following:

SOS Wes Allen:  “Before I took office, Alabama transmitted the personal information of millions of our citizens to this private organization for the past several years. That information is stored on a server somewhere but we do not know where. There is no ERIC operation at the location they claim is their office. A lot of personal data and taxpayer money has been transferred to ERIC. Where is that data? Where are the employees? Where are the offices? Where are the computers?”

The State of Wisconsin uses ERIC, too.  So you won't be surprised to read this:

...As previously reported by GP, ERIC has 3 employees that operate as remote staff. The Executive Director, Shane Hamlin, resides in Washington State. He has been unwilling to disclose where the data resides, not even the city. Ericka Haas is the Systems Engineer from the onset and resides in Oregon. GP reported on Sarah Whitt, their “Systems and Data Specialist”, hired in 2019. She resides in Wisconsin. Although her title indicates a “Specialist”, she previously worked for the State of WI managing their voter rolls for over a decade. You could say she “specialized” in creating the worst, most easily corrupted voter rolls in the country, containing 3.4 million ineligible voters. Now you know why ERIC hired her....

But that's OK because Robin Vos and Scott Fitzgerald authorized it, see?  Now STFU.

The Strategy: Get to Anarchy

Here's a thesis which is supportable:  bring the US to anarchy in order to obtain despotism.

...Every would-be despot knows that the quickest way to despotism is to promote anarchy: The reason is simple—anarchy is insupportable. Anarchy is the state of nature; civil society and the rule of law is designed to end the state of nature and the anarchy that makes human life “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.” Almost any rule is preferable to the state of nature and anarchy. People will choose any rule—even despotism—to prevent anarchy.

Yet, we see the Biden Administration deliberately promoting crime and race war. It undermines the nation’s sovereignty with its policy of open borders, which promotes illegal immigration—itself a crime leading to further crime. The Biden Administration is also clearly working to destroy the middle class, a long-standing goal of Democratic administrations. Its politicization of the Justice Department and the intelligence agencies is evident, as is its use of government agencies to interfere illegally in American elections.

Skewing the economy by inflationary pressures to benefit ruling class elites and corporations at the expense of the lower and middle classes, and ensuring that the same ruling elites benefit from corrupt dealing with China, are but a few of the myriad ways the administration actively promotes anarchy.

The rhetorical trick of all despots in the modern world is to call the new despotism “democracy,” or as some famous tyrants of the recent past called it, “democratic centralism.” Reports to the contrary notwithstanding. Biden is not feeble. His instincts for tyranny are alive and well. As Abraham Lincoln said of democracy: “Allow all the governed an equal voice in the government, and that, and that only is self-government.” We are in a far distant land from the one occupied by the Great Emancipator. ...

That's a very short excerpt from a long-ish essay found here.

The author also posits that Biden is very much in command of his faculties; this is his plan and he's working the plan.

Nah.  Biden has little or nothing to do with it.

This is Obama & Co., with the full (pre-) approval and cooperation of the Deep State.

The (Almost) First Secession

Surber, being an old guy, recalls this stuff.

...Thomas J. DiLorenzo wrote, “From 1800 to 1815, there were three serious attempts at secession orchestrated by New England Federalists, who believed that the policies of the Jefferson and Madison administrations, especially the 1803 Louisiana Purchase, the national embargo of 1807, and the War of 1812, were so disproportionately harmful to New England that they justified secession.”...

...“Clearly, the New England Federalists believed that southern politicians, who dominated the federal government, were intentionally harming the New England states. Considerable credence was lent to this conspiracy theory — at least in the minds of the Federalists — in 1807, when Jefferson declared an embargo on all foreign trade. The embargo rekindled the fires of secession that had been cooled by the Hamilton-Burr episode. The Federalists commenced planning a convention that they hoped would lead to the creation of a northern confederacy.”...

Hmmmmm.

Losing New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire & Vermont--and perhaps New Jersey........

What's the downside?  Especially if they take California, Washington, Oregon, and Illinois!

True Fact!
