BOOM! Trump Hits H1-B Racket. Sorta. Kinda.

Yes, H1-B is a racket.  Large employers of tech-types import tens of thousands of people--who may or may not be "qualified"--to work as house slaves because they are cheap and plentiful.

Which large companies (some with US headquarters) are part of the racket?  See graphic below.

Which ones will be affected?  Bodyshops:  Tata, Infosys, Cognizant.

Why not Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple?

Doh......

Illustration of the top companies by H-1B visas in 2024, with Amazon at 9.3K, Infosys at 8.1K, Cognizant at 6.3K, Google at 5.4K, TCS at 5.3K, Meta at 4.8K, Microsoft at 4.7K, and Apple at 3.9K.

So Trump just took away the "cheap" part.

President Trump signed an executive order Friday adding an annual fee of $100,000 to all H1-B visa applications.

The move marks the latest crackdown by the administration on migrants coming into the US for job opportunities, and is likely intended to limit visa applicants to those from higher financial brackets....

...The policy would apply to all H1-B visa holders, including those seeking to renew their status, he said.

The $100,000 fee would have to be paid out per year for the next six years.

Add $100K/year to the salary of the H1-B and suddenly, things get real.

Thank You, Mr. President!!

The good Bishop of Indianapolis has decided to send us a priest

He imported his priest from India

I asked this priest, if it was possible for him to do the Latin mass and oh my goodness, the noise he made!

I’m wondering how many good conservative candidates for the priesthood he chased out of his seminary because they wanted to do the Latin mass?

I’m curious, Are priest brought in on H1B visas?

And going forward will they have to pay $100,000 to the government to import their cheap Priest?
