A friend was T-boned nearby the other day. She had three kids in the van with her. She was seriously injured in the crash; the van is totaled, as all the airbags deployed. The kids were not hurt but of course they were shaken up.
A few neighborhood kids were riding bicycles near the scene, and another was on a motorcycle. ALL of them stopped, contacted another family member using the mom's phone, prayed over the mom and calmed the children while waiting for the ambulance. One called a couple hours later to check on the condition of the mom.
It's never as bad as you think. There are angels all around--if you can see them.
